My daughter has anxiety over change and Roxanne has been a lifesaver. She goes over every part of the cut offering suggestions and asking questions along the way. Even if you throw out the stellar customer service it’s still the best haircuts my daughter has ever had. She leaves beaming every time. Can’t recommend enough.

I can't recommend Morgana enough! She really took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and talked me through every step of the way. She is extremely transparent, communicative, and gave expert advice, making sure I left the salon feeling confident and looking my best. Morgana's friendly demeanor and attention to detail made my first appointment with her a positive experience.

I love Kitsune salon. It’s the greatest salon I’ve experienced. All the hair stylists get along. The giant windows with the natural light is fantastic. I can always serve myself tea and water. It’s very clean. And I love my hair stylist Betty. She makes my platinum dreams a reality.

**edit: I've been going here to Sara Jean for three years now. wrote this review after my first visit with her! she just dyed my hair for the first time (first time I've ever paid someone to do it!!) I absolutely love her passion, attention, care, and fun conversation. still so grateful this salon exists! I've never worked with anyone else there, but these employees all started this salon together after having worked with each other in other venues (I believe), so the quality of one speaks for all. they use great products... and, small thing, but I absolutely LOVE their bathroom, lol. don't forget to get a smoothie from best friend next door for the complete experience ✨ don't think I could have had a better salon experience in COVID! thank you so much to Sara Jean for making my hair dreams totally come true. she did an amazing shape-up of my ultra-long, shapeless growth. I feel like a model from a 70s magazine. tons of safety protocols that made the experience feel safe. this is my new normal salon!

Morgana is an absolutely amazing stylist! This was my first time getting a cut outside of my childhood stylist, where the only thing I knew how to ask for is the length I wanted, nothing else. Morgana beautifully translated the problems I had with my hair and fixed problems I didn't even know that could be fixed!

Had such a wonderful experience with Roxanne! She helped fix a cut that my daughter had gotten at a different salon. (She was hiding her hair under a beanie after the cut at the other salon) She left with a smile and her confidence restored. Roxanne was also super helpful in educating about styling and working with the hair type my daughter has.

I have gone to many stylists where one look at my thin straight hair and they aren't sure what to do or tell me all the styles I can’t pull off. Even my haircuts by my mom or husband inspired more confidence. This turned me into a home haircut girly for years. But I was tired of DIY haircuts so I searched the internet for a stylist specializing in thin hair types. That’s how I came across Sara Jean. Sara focuses on what is possible and I felt at ease immediately. I’ve never actually had a stylist tell me I had good hair, what a change! I shared my desired length, my nonexistent hair routine, and let her do the rest. I left with a flattering cut that fits my low key routine and I actually left feeling confident!

I’ve gone to many stylists who claim they know how to cut fine hair only to be perpetually disappointed. Luckily I stumbled across Sara Jean at Kitsune. She has the skill and knowledge about how to treat fine hair and make it live up to its full potential. Before arriving, I was debating whether or not to go with a drastic new do and under Sara Jean’s guidance, I went for it and have never been so pleased with a haircut. She also patiently demonstrated how to style my hair and which products to use to get the most out of it without spending too much time on it each day. I’m so glad to have found Sara Jean & Kitsune!

You guys must have put your own reviews or something because there's no way a business that's closed all the time has 5 stars. I've called multiple times on different days, left a message and no answer. I live right across the street and the door is always locked with people inside, no hours are posted and you are literally never open. If you don't want business then don't own one.

I just had an appointment with Roxanne and I left elated! I'm not good at trusting new stylists, but I'm glad I took the leap and have found a new and excellent styles to let my hair shine! I also was recommended the studio by a friend who sees a different stylist there and everyone working during my appointment seemed super nice. And it's so cute in there!!

I went to this salon in November for the first time, and after reading the bios on the website, I felt Pam Goodale was the best fit for what I needed. The salon is welcoming, bright, and filled with plants and Japan themed decor. I had a candid conversation with Pam that I had been losing my hair due to a newly diagnosed autoimmune condition, and my once thick hair was now thin, and I didn't know what to do. She knew immediately the best way to cut my hair (we went over what length and bangs I wanted, but I left the rest to her) and gave me tips on how to make my hair less brittle and what could help with my overall hair health. We had great conversation and I got the best haircut of my adult life. She cut it in a way that made it look thicker and complimented my face while still allowing me to put it all up in a mid pony. The next day I was doing my hair, fully expecting to have my day after haircut regret because I'd be unable to style it the same flattering way, but I was wrong. Pam styled my cut and I looked (and felt) much more confident and comfortable. I recently went back for another haircut with Pam and had the same experience, but this time it was like picking up a conversation with a friend. I highly recommend Pam if you go to Kitsune salon.

Betty Ford-Dixon is an absolute genius. One of the kindest and most genuine stylists that Ive ever had the pleasure of working with on my hair. The salon is clean and friendly and environmentally responsible. Couldn’t ask for more 💜

Betty doesn’t need this review because everyone that gets the luck of meeting her and sitting in her chair will be wanting to come back. She is an amazing artist and just as amazing as a friend. Not at all surprising that she isn’t taking new clients. If I weren’t me I’d get on a waitlist. Betty Ford is a life changer 💞

Having just moved to town, I was looking for a new salon to keep on top of my pixie cut and was very nervous about trying someone new. I set an appointment at Kitsune Salon based on reviews and how close it is to my apartment. I’m so glad I did!! My stylist was Pam Goodale and she did an amazing job! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave me the exact cut I was looking for- and made sure it was flattering and fit my face perfectly. She is an artist! She has YEARS of experience and you can absolutely tell. I will definitely be booking with her again and next time we’ll do color as well! HIGHLY recommend!!

This is a great salon! Betty has been doing my hair for years and I've followed her to several salons. She creates gorgeous hair and is super fun to dish with. I moved to Seattle for awhile and tried several stylists there but eventually made the trip back to Portland every few months because Betty makes my hair look amazing! She listens to what I want, makes smart suggestions based on my hair texture and face shape, and then works her magic. After Betty moved away (she's back now), I went to Roxanne who is also a gifted stylist and great conversationalist. I highly recommend both of them!

after my stylist of years stopped cutting hair, i've been struggling to find someone who cuts my hair as well as she did, and i'm SO happy i found Sara Jean! she was the sweetest and was great at listening to my concerns and calming my haircut anxiety. she also understood what my hair type needed in a cut (fine wavy hair, but a LOT of it!) she made me feel so comfortable and gave me one of the best haircuts of my life, and my very first curtain bangs! it's crazy how much a great cut can help with self confidence. i can't wait to see her again!
