After moving to Austin, I was on a mission to find a hair stylist who could meet all my needs. Having dyed my hair a variety of colors, it was essential to find someone who truly understood my vibe. That’s when I landed in Micah’s chair. Her attention to detail, incredible talent, and genuine passion take her work to the next level. Every time, I walk out feeling completely refreshed. She’s an absolute gem, and I’ll gladly travel (as I do now!) just to let her work her magic. Thank you, Micah!

Nicky has been doing my hair for years. She’s the best hairstylist in town! I followed her to two salons and was so happy when she opened her own spot with Knotty. She’s done balayage, highlights, and tints for my hair. They always turn out amazing and I get compliments on my hair where ever I go. I look forward to my hair appointments because she’s also just an incredible human being who is fun to talk to :)

Currin is my go-to girl and couldn’t be better cut-wise, color-wise, and vibes-wise. Everytime I get a new cut from her I get 10000000 compliments on it! Can’t recommend her enough!

First time scheduling a pixie cut with Perla. Wonderful experience! Perla is very personable and communicative. She takes her time to listen and really understand what your style is. Perla involves you through the whole process to make sure you’re comfortable and you feel awesome. Highly recommended her!

I am so thankful I found Linda over at Knotty ATX! I would have followed her anywhere since she is the best colorist and short pixie cut in town. I love the atmosphere and the ladies over at the salon. So easy to park and so much fun and talent.

Melissa Beebe is AMAZING!! She took me from Knotty to HOTTY in the matter of 2 and a half hours. I wanted a simple bleach and tone and she completely elevated my look by helping me become the blonde i DESERVE. Perla is my favorite hairdresser ever! I’ve never had more people ask me about my hair until I got it done by her. I’m from Corpus Christi but I will make the drive to get my haircut by her. I don’t let anyone else cut my hair because no one goes above and beyond like her. She’s very patient with me, she explains everything she’s going to do and how it’s going to feel/fall/look before she does it. Before finding her, I had a lot of people tell me the style I want won’t work. But once I met her and she saw what I wanted, she said it was no problem and gave me exactly what I was looking for. As for as the knotty salon itself, it’s soo cute! I love the art above the hair wash station, I love the decor and I love their merch! All the stylists are so kind and friendly. They proved drinks and they play great music while you get your hair done. I can’t wait to go back again.

Upscale salon but with a South Austin relaxed vibe. Welcoming staff. Good location. Melissa B is a fantastic stylist. I’m always pleased with the quality of my hair extensions and her skills with the matching and coloring of blonde hair. I came to her as a first time extension client 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier with the results of having longer, thicker hair. Game changer. She’s a genuinely nice person and easy to get along with. Reliable. Booking, pricing, and payment with her through app has been very convenient. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

I LOVE THIS SALON!!! AND I LOVE MY HAIRDRESSER MEL EVEN MORE!!! My hair is super thick and she cuts it so well and my dye always looks so natural. We always have conversations on what looks best and what would be best for my hair. She so detailed and passionate, I adore her. Perla is the absolute best. I have VERY VERY curly hair - and for about 2 years, I was getting Brazilian Blow-Outs. When I decided to go back to curly, I knew it would take a while but Perla was able to get the curls I love and missed back super quickly! I can honestly say I've never had a better hair cut. She's so knowledgeable (which if you have curly hair - IYKYK it's not easy to find someone who knows what they're doing). Her attention to detail is amazing and always gives great recommendations on products/hair care! SO SO Happy with my thriving curls <3

Finding a reliable, skilled, and affordable stylist has been one of the hardest things about moving to Austin — that is until I met Perla. I am not one of those girls that enjoys getting my hair cut, but that is changing. I’ve historically had medium to longer hair, but have been wearing it quite short lately - which for the first time in my life means regular haircuts! My hair is a little wacky - it has a mind of its own and is wavy when it wants to be and the weather agrees. Perla methodically and mathematically gives it the cut, structure, thinning, angling, and sproing (yup, made that word up) that my hair needs. If you are looking for someone reliable and someone who is growing in her talent all the time, do yourself a favor and give her a try - you will be glad you did!

I was recommended Currin for a haircut and left extremely satisfied. My hair was given a fresh beginning and I frankly can’t love it more than I already do.
