Amazing ambiance and relaxing. Ben was great! Would recommend him for your massage

Went to Kohler yesterday for a spa day with a gf. I’ll keep this brief. The staff there were all extremely nice and helpful. My massage was wonderful and the masseuse was great and kind. The negatives were the state of the women’s locker room. There were towels on the floors, food on the floor (almonds and granola), dirty wash clothes in the showers, empty glasses everywhere etc. Also, the eucalyptus spa was broken which was such a disappointment. Now, they did give me a day pass to use but I don’t see myself going back with everything I stated above. Especially not for the price.

I had an amazing manicure and pedicure with Victoria. She did a great job and made me feel pampered and relaxed.

I got a giftcard for my birthday and was so excited to book a spa service here in August, however, when I got there I was denied service because the massage therapist was uncomfortable touching my skin without gloves due to the fact that I asked for unscented oil or fragrance. I have allergies and could potentially get a rash or breakout, which I thought was a reasonable request. The massage therapist, Nokia (or something like that) proceeded to act like I was a leper while there was nothing wrong with my skin. She left me on the table awkwardly and said she would find someone else comfortable with giving me a massage, mind you this was a $450 experience, and she left me laying there for a long time only to come back to say no one else is comfortable. I have no clue what she relayed to them, but this was completely mortifying and upsetting. It had me in tears feeling so triggered and It was the opposite of a relaxing experience. They tried to book me in another day, but why would I want to come back and give them business when my allergies still stand and apparently the potential to get a rash is a no no. While in tears at the desk many other customers were telling me to feel better, I was so completely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I asked for my giftcard to be refunded because I never want to be subjected to the type of humiliation I endured that day, and apparently 6 months later, they cannot get It together. I am still waiting for my $400 back! I do not recommend this place if you have allergies or anything that a massage therapist can ridicule you on.

So great and perfect gift!! Definitely recommend.

Amazing, relaxing experience. I felt at peace with the universe. Massages were sold out so I got a CBD body scrub, which was exquisite. My therapist was like a soft spoken angel armed with some serious scrub brushes. Shout out to her! The amenities, especially the jacuzzi, are spacious and extensive for a spa in a big city. Everything was immaculately clean (maybe normal for Chicago but I live in NY where I am literally scared to go to spas). The upstairs treatment area situation was completely self-guided (“Relaxation Lounge 2” was printed on a card telling me where to go for my treatment …this is actually a combination of two different places…they could be more clear in their wording) but nothing someone with a third grade education and a willingness to ask questions can’t figure out. The only thing that was a bit of a downer was that the front desk was a little off. My advice is that if they receive a booking at 3pm for a 5pm spa service, they should be aware of it and print out the necessary documents, rather than having the person wait at the front desk for 15 minutes and miss out on valuable pre-treatment spa time. I ended up having only 10 minutes when I should have had 20+ if they had been faster. One of the more senior ladies at the front desk seemed to not understand my concern and said kinda matter-of-factly (but not rudely) that I needed to wait for the print, then take a tour, etc. The $300+ I paid says all that needs to happen now! I wandered off to look at the facilities myself while they were sorting out the printer. It was at least 5 minutes before they were ready. So 4.5 stars. Regardless I would definitely come back when in Chicago.

I love the hydrafacial and the staff is so kind and welcoming. Updated review- I visited this spa again after almost a year, and I was pleasantly surprised that Victoria, who did my nails the very first time I came here two years ago, still remembered me! She was absolutely amazing and took such great care of my hair this time. Kendall also did a fantastic job with my nails – they look flawless! 💅 I’d also like to give a big shoutout to Kiki at the lobby. I had about 2–3 services booked, but due to a system error with my brow lamination timing, she went above and beyond to reschedule it for me at a discounted price! Her professionalism and kindness really stood out. The entire team is so warm and welcoming, making this spa the perfect spot to unwind and relax, especially during these chilly winter days. Highly recommend it for a well-deserved chill day!

Best spa in the city! The amenities, service, and overall quality is consistently above expectations!

Highly recommend Ben as a massage therapist. I’ve gotten massages all over the world from some of the best spa’s and I would put Ben at #1. Thanks for the great birthday experience.

My husband and I went to this spa recently. WOW what a wonderful experience! We actually showed up on the wrong day by mistake and they were able to still make accommodations for us to receive similar services to our original package. The staff were professional and helpful. The place is extremely clean. It’s definitely the place to go for relaxation and recharge. We had the facial, hydrotherapy and massage. All were excellent. I would absolutely come again. Highly recommend.

Update - I returned five years later only because a groups of friends selected this spa. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The ambiance is nice, but the steam room was broken and unavailable. The lockers are small and barely fit a winter coat and bag. The massage was subpar. I tried to contact them in advance regarding a question, was sent to voicemail during working hours and didn’t get a call returned until the next day. They wouldn’t validate parking even though I checked parking on the website in advance to confirm parking availability. All and all, it’s not worth the high price to leave frustrated. Description of services is unclear and customer service is fair. I was expecting a top notch massage and walked away disappointed with a service that was lame. Facilities are nice, but don’t make up for the poor massage.

Dear Kohler Waters Spa, I had an appointment scheduled this morning at 10 am. I fell extremely ill and had a high fever and sickness, and called the spa as soon as they opened to let them know I am sick and feel it is unethical to come to my massage appointment and getting other people sick. I tried calling at opening time 3 times (8:30 am, 8:33, 9 am). I tried calling again around 10:04 am. I did NOT have anyone pick up my call. There was no way for me to let the front desk know of my illness. Instead, I got a voice message saying that my card will be charged 100% (meaning several hundred dollars). As someone who has received services here before, I am utterly disgusted and feel taken advantage of. I urge a representative to urgently get in contact with me. personally, I do not recommend this spa anymore. Please find somewhere else that actually sees you as a person and not just a money machine.

I've been to several spas across the U.S., so you could say I'm somewhat experienced in luxury experiences. My first impression of Kohler Waters was that it is a luxury spa considering the ambience, amenities, and the price of treatments. TLDR; Staff was decent, ambience was nice, but some real criticism of the spa and treatments for the price. Upon arriving for my first time I was handed a cup of tea and warm towelettes (nice). I did not have a place to put the towelettes or tea down anywhere as I was not allowed into the area (they just opened), and the lobby seats were all taken. So I just stood awkwardly holding these things until I was greeted and escorted in. I scheduled Therapeutic (deep tissue) massage and Gentleman's facial. The massage was surprisingly subpar, it felt similar to how my girlfriend would give a massage with just lots of pressing and rubbing (no offense to her, she isn't an RMT) and little understanding of muscle fibers. Subpar, especially considering the price! I've received better massages that actually heal connective issues for less than half the price. Ridiculous. The facial was fine, I didn't know what to expect as it was my first one and don't get them regularly. The layout of the spa area was not designed properly. The locker rooms do not have direct entrances into the coed water area, and instead, one has to walk across the hallway (almost seeing the front doors to the public) to get into the water area, possibly leaving slippery floors behind them. The water area is coed, which does not seem like a smart idea. Men and women tend to be most comfortable separated (women don't want to feel on alert around men, men don't want to accidentally feel creepy, etc). Most notably is that the hopping between the saunas and pools would require showering in between in a sanitary environment, but there are no showers in the water area! I saw a gentleman dripping in sweat and having no issue hopping in the cold plunge. I don't necessarily blame him considering the design of the spa doesn't make it easy. I spent $770 for two treatments and the spa access. I spent less at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai for a 90 minute massage and spa experience. This experience was disappointing and overpriced, but the passion fruit tea was great. It's basically just a novelty place Kohler thought would do well in the Spa Industry because they make water products; they unfortunately fail in designing a spa experience. I regret going here and would not recommend to my friends.

Booking online was a little bit of a hassle. We had to wait several, several minutes for the booking site to load. Registration was fine. Lounge in front could be cozier/ better seating. The orientation to the spa was brief but clear & helpful. The locker room was fine. TP could be better quality & bidet toilet seats would've been cool. The lockers are standard size but I wish they were larger. Showers were fine- nice pressure & could use 1-3 outputs at once. There was an option to "infuse" the shower water which my husband and I both did not notice a difference (in fact, during one of my showers I noted it wasn't even connected in that stall). There was sooo much missed potential in the shower area- could've featured cool tiles and fixtures but it was all beige like you'd see at your gym. Moroccan oil brand hair products were nice & standard hair dryer available. I wish they would've had some dyson/ shark airwrap like dryers. They didn't have a machine to ring out your bathing suit. Towels & sandals standard... robes were nice and plush. There's a hot tub, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. I think they could've done more with the hot tub- like more jets. It was a relaxing environment. There's a no electronics policy which I appreciate. I did the lavender scrub treatment which was unique & enjoyable. Overall, happy I tried a new spa in Chicago!

I Love the amenities here! The staff has been very helpful and welcoming. I really enjoy the hydrotherapy section, could have spent the entire day there.

A calm and serene place to melt your anxiety away. The dimly lit hydrotherapy ,sauna and steam are perfect. An upstairs indoor/outdoor lounge is spacious and quiet. The staff is attentive and helpful. Manicure and pedicure were magical and could have put me to sleep! Will be back for sure.

Clean, high quality services, incredibly thoughtful and unique offerings. When you book any service, you have full access to the amenities (all day!) which includes the whirlpool, steam room, sauna, and cold lounge. Get there early to enjoy and unwind before your treatment.

The only reason I’m not giving them one star is because my massage was nice. When I arrived (25 minutes before my appointment) my appointment was not on one of the cards they reference & they had to search for my appointment that I’ve received two email confirmations for at this point. I was then asked if I’ve been here before and when I said yes, they asked me if I could find my way to the locker room on my own. Not a huge deal but also not a spa-like experience. Again, massage was nice, lounge is comfortable. When I went to leave I asked them to apply the amount I had left on a gift card that I had used in January ($100+). I was told they don’t keep that information on file even though I was told in January it would be on my file to use for my next visit. I tried to find it in my email since it was a gift that was printed and mailed to me, hoping the sender emailed it to me too. Could not find it of course so paid what was due. By the way, they keep your credit card on file but can’t keep a gift card THEY ISSUED on file! They told me to bring it next time. There won’t be a next time. They took a relaxing afternoon and ruined it with their incompetence & disregard for the situation. The staff at the front desk are terrible (and had a similar rude experience last time). The spa is mediocre at best for the prices they charge (increased drastically recently). This city is too big and has so many other great options to bother with this place.

Came in to be pampered ! Kendall was great smiling and attentive. It was hot air-conditioning was not working properly, but Kendall shared her fan and made sure I was comfortable. Kendall and Victoria did a great job and provided cold towels and water. I did get the name of the young lady whom I had for massage, but it was wonderful. I was able to use the hot tub, steamroom, sauna. There is a wonderful relaxation room upstairs snacks and teas as well as infused iced water. I had a great birthday, thank you very much

Went this past weekend with a friend, and it was wonderful. I had the salt scrub 50 min massage by Regina - all I can say is she has magic, healing hands, and was 10/10. Thank you!

I love this spa - the amenities are amazing but what really puts it over the top is their water room! It has heated jets, a cold plunge and a steam and dry sauna. I recommend getting there at least an hour early to spend time cycling through. I’ve had massages and a facial there and loved both services.

This place is amazing for nail treatments, massages, and most of all, the hydrotherapy pool. It’s one of the only spas with a co-ed sauna/stream room/hot tub area (and a cold plunge!). The hot tub is more like a pool and has tons of different jets for the whole hydrotherapy experience. I love coming here for any treatment, with the added benefits of using these facilities.

First time at Kohler spa and won’t be my last! I got the All Things Kohler massage with Melissa and she was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had! The steam sauna and hot tub were very nice and soothing. They have smoothies and coffee for purchase. The only negative is the shampoo and conditioner were very watered down. Other than that was great!

I have been to many of the city spas and this is by far the best. Most consistently positive treatments. They do have a no electronics policy that now includes Kindles. I had planned on reading and the manager went ABOVE AND BEYOND to go get me a physical book I could read during my visit when I was unaware of the policy.

The massage was nice, but the thermal bath area was EXTREMELY LOUD (people were shouting and on their phones, which the staff said were recently banned). When we told the staff how loud it was, nothing changed.
