Love my haircut! Jessica and I talked through some ideas and she ended up giving me the best cut I've had in a long while. I haven't had bangs since I was 11. Turns out there was no reason to be scared, ha. The shampoo head massage almost put me to sleep too. RECOMMEND

I’ve found my Portland stylist who is ono, a Hawaiian guy who truly rocks. Kahala dances thru my cuts with ease and he was a referral from another Hawaiian. It’s great to bring the spirit of akua to our great City.

Noriko is so skillful in haircutting. I keep bringing her various versions of wolf cuts with difficult bang cuts and she executes impeccably with such care and attention. Getting my hair shampooed by her is the best. It’s like a healing massage. So relaxing!

Noriko has been the only stylist to cut my hair since moving from the East coast a year ago! She makes an effort to listen to what I'm looking for and she is very caring! I always feel like it's a realxing treat to get my haircut and styled by her! She is also skilled with my Asian hair texture which is fine with a lot of volume and usually needs a lot of layers.

One can’t say enough good about Todd Hammer as a stylist and as a truly good human being. This salon is bright and airy and they carry bumble-and-bumble. Todd and Koi Pod are just the right combo to give you a great look.

Each and every time for a good many years, I expect nothing but the best from Kahala. He far exceeds my expectations. I fall in love wth the cut and highlights from the moment I lay eyes on my hair. Last time especially, the results were stunning, so I've been told I love my new and style. As time goes by, I always love the way my hair grows out. The salon is beautiful and clean and the staff is very professional.

Highly recommend Mary Hoffman. She gave me the most beautiful, natural blonde balayage with the perfect amount of color and application. I've received many compliments and questions of whether it's natural or not because it's light, bright, and fresh but subtle - which is just what I asked for. Very impressed with her skill, and she is a lovely woman to chat with and get to know. Down to earth and very personable. Needless to say, I am a happy customer & will definitely be back! I've followed Nathan through a couple of places. Now, in pandemic mode, Koipod is wonderful to visit. So airy. Limited people. I first started going to see Mary a little over a year ago, and I can't imagine finding anyone better. She's executed every hairstyle that I've wanted perfectly! She is a very talented and professional stylist but also the most warm and welcoming one I've ever been to. What I loved about her from my first appointment is how real and relatable she is. Truly a pleasure to be around and so talented!!

I've been seeing Mary for my hair for quite some time now. I absolutely love my color every time and she does it in a way that the grow-out is seamless and natural. She has a good eye for what works and is so comfortable to be around. I always look forward to my visits with her. Also, book a lash-tint with her! I've been seeing Niko for years -- since he was at Propaganda Salon. He's always given me amazing cuts, and has recommended great colors for me. I get so many compliments on my hair color; people always assume it's natural. He listens to what I want, and collaborates with me to find styles and colors that meet my wishes, work with my hair type, and look great on me!

Kahala does not have to aim to please as going above and beyond one's expectations every time comes naturally. He listens and gives honest advice. Personally, I love architecture and design so I have a critical eye. The salon is clean and stark with much attention put into details. The salon is the most beautiful salon I have ever seen, my favorite by far. The products are the best and my cut looks great regardless of of I take time to style or just let my hair go natural. Everyone asks where I go my hair done and by who.

I saw Nathan for a men's haircut recently and couldn't be happier! He was very attentive to figuring out what I was looking for and transformed my long and poorly-managed hair so that I could actually wear it down instead of my go-to of putting it up. The space is cool and really clean, too!
