Sarah is amazing! She clearly loves doing hair and makes me feel like a star every time I go in. Excellent highlighting services and color wizardry. I have fine hair and she knows just how to cut it for volume and glamour. Highly recommend!

Sydney has transformed my hair for 6 months now. She is so talented and passionate about her work. I have very fine hair that was very had to grow out. I did a lot of research and decided to come to kontempo for hand tied extensions. After my consultation I felt super confident that Sydney could achieve the look I was going for and she did. I later learned that she is also excellent with cuts and color!! I’ve never had a stylist that checks all the boxes for me. Totally worth every penny!

Makenzi did a great job on my cut and color. It was my first time in and I love the salon. It’s so beautiful Kirby has so much talent not only with hair and business, but with the decor of the salon as well. It is my new regular go to place now ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Mckenzie is great! Every time I’ve gone to her she nails the cut or color every time. I wasn’t sure about my color at first, but she’s a pro and I love it. Highly recommend her for anything from layers to cherry hair!

I cannot recommend Madison Melby/Kontempo enough! After my hair gal of 8+ years moved away, I was pretty anxious for my first appointment. Madison (and the whole Kontempo team) made me feel so welcome. I have been blonding my hair for years and the tone I prefer can be hard to execute with my naturally warm-toned hair. Madison absolutely NAILED it. We added a few lowlights for depth and dimension, and Madison blended the lowlights with the blonde to perfection. Plus, she was a joy to talk to and gave me so many tips on maintaining my color and hair health. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

The owner Kirby did my hair for my wedding and IM IN LOVE!! I felt like a Greek goddess! In the chaos and heat of the day, Kirby was a calming presence. You won’t go wrong choosing Kontempo for your salon needs. They work with excellence and precision, and I will definitely be coming back to them.

Kontempo has always been amazing with my hair, they’ve always been honest when I’ve wanted to try a new hair color on the process so I know exactly what to expect. The staff is friendly & helpful. From the service, to the decor, to the talent of the stylists, the Kontempo experience is beyond exceptional. The salon is bright and clean, as well as minimalistic and modern. It is very evident that all of the stylists are so passionate about what they do and the energy in the salon is great. Karah cut and colored my hair and asked me questions throughout the entire process to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted; she made suggestions where necessary and really listened to my feedback. She also worked with my mom who is frequently displeased with her haircut from the salon due to several cowlicks that aren’t worked with. I’ve never seen her more satisfied with a haircut. If you’re looking for a salon that will not only meet, but exceed all of your expectations, Kontempo is without a doubt the place for you.

I went with Tayler, to get my butterfly haircut and blowout and left feeling absolutely beautiful!! Tayler made me feel so comfortable and really made it seem like we were just hanging out! If you’re looking for stylist Tayler is the one to go to! So talented! :)

I have been seeing Rae for 7ish years. She is so knowledgeable about her trade. We have made my hair almost every color, and I have had long and short hair. Her cuts are always exactly what I want and look amazing. She always makes sure I am happy and looking great! Kontempo is a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, and their warm towels are a game changer!

I hired Kirby to do my hair for my wedding as well as my mom and MOH’s hair. I had hand-tied extensions and a very elaborate & delicate headpiece, so I hired Kirby because I knew he’d worked with crowns in pageants. Kirby totally knocked it out of the park with my hair as well as my mom’s! My makeup artist (not from Kontempo) was running late, and Kirby helped keep me as calm as possible and reworked the timeline to accommodate the change in plans and to help ease my nerves. He even stayed longer than he would’ve initially had to because of this. I was a wreck because of the makeup artist situation (again, she was not affiliated with Kontempo at all), and Kirby was such a professional and was such a team player. My mom has very fine, difficult-to-work-with hair, and she did not want to get her hair professionally styled for the wedding because she has had bad luck in the past with having her hair styled for weddings. I convinced her to go to a trial with Kirby because I knew if anyone could make her love her hair, it would be Kirby. My mom was in tears at her trial because she loved her hair so much! She said she had never felt so beautiful. That experience made all the difference leading up to the wedding because I wanted my mom to feel her best, and I was so relieved that she was going to love her hair the day of the wedding – which she did! I’d never seen my mom feel so good about herself, which totally made my day! Kirby is a true artist. He was so accommodating and made sure we had the style perfect before the wedding. He makes each person feel important, he truly cares if you are happy, and he is SO kind! Kirby is well worth the money, and I feel so lucky to have gotten such a talent to do my hair for my wedding! Madison and Sydney did the rest of my bridal party’s hair. The entire Kontempo team was on time and did a great job staying on time. My bridesmaids’ hair looked great! Mandi, the bridal coordinator, was so great and easy to work with. She was always very responsive and organized, and everything was scheduled perfectly! 10/10 experience all around with Kontempo! You can tell they all enjoy working with each other and it seems like they are always learning and upping their skills. Sydney knows her products and makes great recommendations according to what your hair needs. She goes out of her way to squeeze me in when I’m in a pinch and consistently delivers every time! Kontempo is the 4th salon I have tried in Omaha and by a landslide, my best experience. Sydney did a great job taking the time to listen to my concerns & recommending the best way we can work together to achieve my desired result while maintaining the integrity of my hair. The result of our session was absolutely beautiful and I’m excited to return to work with Kontempo again, and specifically Sydney! Absolutely recommend this salon.

When I moved to Omaha 3 years ago it was the biggest struggle to find someone to do my hair correctly. I have naturally dark hair that I highlight blonde. I finally got into Kontempo and never looked back. I have worked with Kirby and Sarah the past 3 years and they are amazing! While here, I worked at a local news station and they knew exactly how to highlight and style hair to make sure it looked good in natural light and under the studio lights. I have since recommended several other coworkers to them. Two years ago I decided to get extensions and haven’t taken a break from them until today. I was so worried that my hair would be broken and short but my hair is actually the healthiest it has ever been and it was the same length as my extensions! Everyone at this salon is extremely nice and accommodating. I have never had an issue and I am extremely picky and peculiar. Check this place out if you want runway quality hair! My hair is now in a better place and I’ve made great friends! You have nothing to lose. I’m including pictures of myself with extensions vs. now without!

I was looking for a new Salon as my previous Stylist of 7 years decided to stop working and spend more time with her family. Since relocating here from New York in 2015, finding a great Salon that I was happy with and met my expectations was difficult to say the least. I came across Kontempo online and knew right away that I had found the right Salon as soon as I walked in. I booked an appointment with Patrick and had my first haircut with him today. He is extremely talented and I was very happy with his work. He not only met my expectations but he exceeded them in so many ways. So be sure to ask for him as you will not be disappointed.

I’m from Texas and came back for a wedding on 6/17 and book my appointment online! They were so professional and listened to what I really wanted and suggested looks for me!! My makeup was flawless and my hair was perfect!! I felt so beautiful!! Would give both The make up artist and the hairstylist a 12 out of 10 they rock!!

He listened to what I wanted, gave me his feedback on what he thought was needed, and talked to me about their pricing before any services. Not only was Patrick welcoming and funny, the energy and vibe in the salon was effortless. I was so happy with my results.
