$120 for a single process dye and she wouldn't even blow dry my hair. She handed me the blow dryer and a brush. The color is also far, far darker than we agreed on. I'm working on lightening it myself at home because I don't want to come back here.

I have gone to Amy for a haircut a few times now and I always leave impressed. She is very thorough and has a great eye for what your hair needs. Mine always comes out very healthy and stylish. I don't write many reviews in general but Kosa Salon has been amazing.

If you can't do the cut, it's better to say I can't do it. I had to pay for a bad haircut, very bad. I'm disappointed. I showed him a sample and everything, and he left all my hair ruined.

This place rocks. Amy is a great stylist with years of experience and great skills. Nice modern ambiance and great vibes. I’m very satisfied with my haircut and will be back again. If you get your hair done anywhere else, I feel awkward for you. You can do better! Kosa is where it’s at peeps!

I always go to Kosa for my haircut and style. The team of stylists are experienced and experts at their craft. They’re knowledgeable in the latest trends and products for healthy hair. I trust only them with my hair and my son’s hair. The staff is so friendly and kind. The music and atmosphere is uplifting and fun. The shop is full of natural day light, which gives it a pleasant feel. It’s always clean which is very important to me. I’ve been going their for 3+years and have never once been disappointed with my services. Best of all the prices are very reasonable, I’ve never felt over charged for anything. This is a really great place, I couldn’t recommend it more.

I see Ana regularly for color retouched and highlights, she does an amazing job placing highlights adding dimension to my curly hair. This was the first time I got a haircut with Amy (my first haircut with a new stylist in over 20 years). Amy did a great job explaining what my hair needed and explained everything she was doing before she did it. My long curly hair looks and feels great and I'm glad I found this salon for all my hair needs!

I was visiting my daughters and was in need of a haircut. This place was close to my daughters' house and I saw that the salon received good reviews so I decided to try it out. I was very pleased with my haircut. Maria was excellent, very friendly and nice. I just love the haircut and I will definitely come back.

If you have not been to this salon you are MISSING OUT! This salon makes me leave not only looking my best, but FEELING my best each and every visit. Ana is hands down the top colorist in the Chicagoland area. Her artistic eye for color, is absolutely incredible! Amy & Maria will give you haircuts, blow drys, and up dos that most certainly leave you feeling like a Hollywood star! I value their opinion, and ability to grow with the times! Their style is very much up to date which shows me, that they are continuously learning! LOVE THAT! My favorite part of this salon, is how genuinely kind everyone is. You give a lot of trust to people, that care for your hair, and they have all of my trust! I have curly hair and have tried the Brazilian blowout at multiple other places, without luck. A lot of other places struggle with curly hair, but not here!! When I met amy, she went into detail educating me on how the Brazilian blowout works, how long it lasts, videos, pictures, and when to return. Since that moment, I refuse to go anywhere else besides Kosa Salon for my Brazilian blowout. 10/10 recommend! Don’t sleep on this gem!

I’ve been coming to Maria for cuts since 2006 and would never let anyone else touch my hair. She’s helped me grow out my hair after chemo, including all the (very) awkward phases. She’s always found cute creative styles to bridge the gaps and work-arounds for cowlicks. She then helped me find the courage to go short again, on purpose. Super talented and so fun to chat with. Always willing to trim my bangs when they get out of control between cuts. For color, Ana is a true artist. I get compliments from everyone on how rich and glossy my color looks. Lasts a long time too. She does a fantastic job! I’m amazed at the way she was able to fix my sister’s quarantine-necessitated, “done-at-home” henna mess last winter. Absolute magic!

Love Kosa and stylist Maria! She does a great job of understanding what you want and advising on what would look best for you. I’ve had many haircuts in the city and they weren’t half as good as Maria (despite being the same cost or more).

Phenomenal customer service. I’ve been going to Anna for highlights and Amy for styling. They are great with listening and yet providing suggestions when needed. My hair is now exactly the way I wanted because of their expertise. The salon is pretty and comfortable. I highly recommend Kosa.

The staff at Kosa salon are amazing, talented and kind. I’ve been a customer of Ana and Maria’s for several years, initially for a shoulder length cut and highlights but now for maintaining my highlights and long hair. When I first came to them, my hair was dry and damaged from another salon and they brought my hair back to life after several appointments. They care about hair health which I really appreciate, and I love how they always comment “your hair has grown so much!” since my previous visit. They are always sure to give recommendations or their honest opinion (such as reminding me to apply heat protectant, keeping me accountable for regularly scheduling appointments so my highlights are maintained and my ends remain healthy). I recommend them to everyone - their salon is fantastic and they’re fantastic people!

Kosa Salon always treats me right! I often get my hair cut with Maria and she does a great job working with me on new styles I want to try, trims, or even big chops! She also gives me the best recommendations when I ask on what’s suited for my face shape and conditions I want my hair. I’ve had my hair highlighted by Anna. She was honest and accommodating on recommendations for going lighter with my dark hair to maintain its health. The environment is friendly, welcoming, and clean.

I have been going to Kosa Salon since it opened. I love the environment! Always super friendly and welcoming. Ana (colorist) always does a great job! I love the way zany cuts my hair. I have brought in pictures with ideas and they always give me feedback on if the color and cut will look good on me. They always provide other ideas or options.

Just got my hair done from Monna and it turned out great! Went in to achieve a pastel silver look. Monna is very talented at what she does and she takes her time to achieve the best results. You can tell she loves what she does and has a passion for it by the amount of effort she puts in to all her projects. When I told Monna what I wanted she did her homework and asked her peers for advice to give the best service she could. I definitely appreciate all of her hard work and time she puts in to hair and will continue going back to her for future hair transformations. She also gives amazing scalp massages!!

KOSA Salon is hands down the best salon I've been going to. Prices are very reasonable. All of the stylist are just awesome, they really listen to what I am looking for. Ana is the best with my color. I get a lot of compliments with my hair color. Amy and Maria's cuts are also great, and their blow drys are outstanding too! I totally recommend KOSA. They make you feel at home and you come out of there feeling amazing. You have to try them out!

Kosa Salon is the best! It is a casual, never snooty, woman owned salon in the heart of River North. I’ve been seeing the women there since even before they opened their own salon and I drive in from the burbs to see them!! Ana is a master colorist and always does a fantastic job. My recent lowlights received so many compliments I felt like a star! Maria is fabulous with my cut and style and I wish she could come to my house every day to blow out my hair! I’ve also seen Ami several times and have never been disappointed! If you are unhappy with your current stylist and looking for a change I highly recommend Kosa Salon!!
