Braeden is amazing and the one person I trust to cut my curly hair. Braeden genuinely listens to what I want and takes time to ensure I get the cut I asked for. Braeden knows curly hair and provides recommendations for styling and products that help my curls stay healthy and happy. Braeden creates a comfortable environment and I always feel well taken care of.

Laid back salon in an unassuming location - I had a perfect hair color experience with the co-owner Karol: kind, courteous, present but not overwhelming. She corrected my "natural" hair color- which is to say colored my grey roots. But I saw a gal coming out before me who was sporting some vibrant purple. So it seems like she is a talented colorist who can do the spectrum. Also noteworthy: they are a Green salon- lots of recycling! Finally, great availability and hours. Finally, standard pricing: clear and not out of sync with reality. Overall: perfect results, refreshingly chill. Sounds like Karol has been in the business for a long time and it shows: she knows her stuff!

I had an appointment with Karol as it states that she specializes in fine hair. I showed her a pic of a hairstyle that I like and also how I used to have my hair in younger days. She is a miracle worker and cut my hair without the use of weird scissors so many others want to use to take short cuts with. Everything is layered nicely and short enough so I no longer have to put it up to keep it out of my face. She listens to what you're wanting and gives you time to decide if you want to leave it or take more off. As I've had very short hair before, I let her cut as much as she needed to to get my hair in better looking shape. The salon itself has an 'Alice in Wonderland' vibe which I loved as I'm a big fan of the book. I was also getting some Harry Potter vibes as well. I highly recommend Karol especially if you have fine hair.

Great salon, awesome atmosphere, and talented stylist. I’ve been going to this salon to get my haircut by Autumn for the past 20 months and every time I leave satisfied. All the other stylists are wholesome and I would recommend any one of them. You can easily book any stylist through the website. If I wasn’t a client of Autumn, I wouldn’t hesitate to book with any of the other stylists.

My best friend has been seeing Kurstin for a long time and her hair always looks great, so when I needed to find someone closer to me, I made an appointment. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted and Kurstin really listened and gave me a few suggestions. I ultimately picked something a little different than I had in mind originally and it turned out perfectly! Kurstin was able to understand exactly what my goal was even though I couldn't exactly articulate it. Plus, the vibes are great at the salon! Highly recommend.

Christine is a gem. I have been a loyal client of hers for a handful of years. I have naturally thick, dark brown hair. Christine has taken me from that to platinum blonde. To fire engine red. Back to dark brown. And of course…blonde again. To today, me embracing my dark color but adding money pieces and colored vibrant tape in extensions because if you can’t tell….I always want a change. Christine is realistic, honest, and an expert at her craft. Her ability to flawlessly execute any crazy idea that I come up with is by far an amazing quality❤️

Autumn is amazing! I drive 45 minutes to go to her. She color matched my roots so perfectly that my natural color grow out process was seamless. Wildly talented at all sorts of cuts, and she'll match a picture reference really well.

Allison is AMAZING! She has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now. I usually do a shag and recently did more of a wolf cut. Her cuts last me a long time! The grow out is beautiful. She really gets curly and wavy hair - which is always super hard to find. Don't hesitate to book, she gets filled up fast!

I've been to A LOT of hairstylists in the Seattle area – at least 10 — and I can say with confidence that Allison Buchbinder is by far the best. Her years of experience shines through and her work speaks for itself. I drive over an hour to see her!! Allison can do anything you want: she's helped me go from blonde to red, from long to short to back long, and she's helped me go from blonde to brunette and brunette back to blonde. How she does this while not over bleaching so my hair stays healthy is a talent I will never understand. She's the only person I completely trust with my hair and that is skilled enough to help me branch out of my comfort zone when I want to. These days I am wanting more dynamic/dimensional blonde with low lights and a natural soft look to cover my new grays, and she does it so beautifully! In addition to her talent, she's just so enjoyable to be around. Allison is a clear communicator and great conversationalist - she genuinely cares about who is in her chair, and it makes my 4 hour balayage go by super fast. I love her new West Seattle location, too! Parking is super easy if you go midday and the space is hip, beautifully decorated, and welcoming.

Love this place! Allison is my go to girl. She’s very skilled/knowledgeable when it comes to cutting curls and I always appreciate how welcoming and comfortable she makes me feel when I walk into the salon. Allison’s skill set and knowledge is UNMATCHED. At each appointment, she listens to my thoughts on what I had in the past, how I felt about the grow out, and then we collab and she tells me exactly what she thinks would be best. (Hint: she always knows whats best) I will always trust her with my hair! Her cutting techniques and products she uses brought out my natural waves I didn't know I had. She will always formulate the appointment based off of the individual, not a trend. My life is changed with Hairstory products, I swear I live and breathe Hairstory, and now Cult and King! If you know you know 😉 Not to mention Allison is an incredibly genuine, kindhearted, and easy person to be around. Also another huge plus for me was that it was a super easy location and free parking lot!!!

Came here to write a review and shoutout to my girl Lauren. Been seeing her for a little over a year now and am so happy to finally have my confidence back. Lauren is a skilled color artist and gives great cuts. She took me from a muddy brunette to an auburn redhead seamlessly and answered all my concerns as someone who has never played with color before. Christine R is magic with the shears. I had waist length hair and needed to chop it after having my baby but was really nervous about it. She had been cutting my grandmothers thick straight hair and knew she’d be the gal for the job. I LOVED IT. Will not go to anyone else for a gorgeous technical cut.

I came here attempting to recover from a bad haircut somewhere else and really loved the warm atmosphere. Kurstin took the time to listen to what I liked and didn't like, learn about my hair, and offer suggestions. I took her advice on most things and ended up with a great new haircut. I have rather thick wavy hair and it was nice that she paid attention to the texture when recommending a style. Will definitely come back!

I have been going to Allison for several years! She gave me The Big Chop on our first visit, taking me from super long to short. Allison takes the time to really understand my wants/needs/vision. I feel super affirmed by our appointments. Also gotta say her head massages are to die for! Highly recommend her services, for not only the quality of the cut but the entire experience.

I just started going to Allison this year, but I'm hooked! I had the pandemic hair blahs for sure, and she gave me advice and inspiration to get out of my "don't care" rut! She took time to guide me through working with what I considered a natural curse, and turned my fuzz into soft, natural curls. Each haircut we turned up the fun with layers that are flexible from workout to going out! Most recently she added depth with a color option that suits my low maintenance preference and still looks fresh and glamorous. Allison is such a wonderful person, she makes me feel comfortable, confident and 100% ready to glow after each appointment!

I used to commute like 45 minutes to see Christine. Now my commute is only about 20 minutes, but it was always worth it! 10/10 would come from murch further to see her. She always delivers the BEST color and hypes me up when I want to try something different. She was the first person to give me a perfect shaggy cut and now she's helping me get that length! I was looking for a new stylist in Seattle for years and had tried a few places where I just didn’t get the results I wanted until Christine! The hair transformation after going to her was truly night and day. I went from dark brown hair to a beautiful balayage look in a day. Her schedule availability is also great and so easy to book. Kurstin gave me the best haircut I’ve ever gotten in my whole life, hands down. The salon space is clean and has good energy. The staff are kind, welcoming, and very skilled. I was worried because I hadn’t been to a professional in a while and didn’t know what kind of a haircut to ask for— I’ve never felt very confident in any haircut I’ve gotten. I very vaguely and unsurely told her what I wanted and didn’t want: I didn’t want to spend time doing my hair, I wanted something that I could let air dry and then brush out— even though my hair dries a bit curly. She made me feel comfortable, understood, and reassured that we could pull off what I wanted. She then assessed my hair texture and knew exactly what to do with it. She confidently and strategically cut my hair to accentuate my natural texture and wave pattern. Afterwards, she gave me a sample of a hair product that she suggested for my hair. I’m 26 and have been insecure about my hair and fighting it for the last 14 years. Now I’m staring in the mirror flabbergasted that for the first time in my entire life I feel that my hair looks REALLY GOOD. Not just that it “could be worse”. It air dries curlier than it ever has (something I wanted), because of the strategic cut and aided by the high quality hair product sample, and brushes out like a 70s blowout (something I did not know I wanted). I’m excited for this new stage of my hair’s life!! I am beyond happy and in shock that this is my hair!!
