If you want to throw away your hard earned money, go ahead and book your massage at La Peau. The “1 hour” session they book you for is not a full hour. It’s more like a 50 minute session. They’ll gaslight you and say it’s because you didn’t arrive early. However, the front desk can’t handle people checking out and checking in simultaneously. So they end up taking our massage time and blame it on you not arriving at least 15 mins before your appointment even if you do. Additionally, I get the strict no cancellation fee, but how about you being accountable for not scheduling it into your system and inconveniencing your customers when they do show up and your system doesn’t have it? If I hadn’t got a gift card, I would not have returned again, but I had to use the remaining value. If you expect your customers to be held to a certain standard, you should do the same for your establishment especially with the prices.

I left very annoyed today. I was sent my annual birthday 10 percent off. I use it every year. Normally I book a massage and a facial but this year I decided to book a package. I just had twins and I was trying to treat myself. I told the receptionist at booking I had a birthday 10 percent coupon. She assured me that even though I was putting down a deposit that my coupon could still be applied to the package and that it would all be worked out at the end. Cool. I put down 160 dollars as a deposit for a 320 dollar package. The total with my discount should have been 320-32(10 percent) = 288. I paid 160 in advance, so my total at the end should have been 128, plus tip, which I always leave. I get to the end of my relaxing day and go to pay- and first the receptionist tells me that because I paid a deposit she can’t take my coupon and I could use it some other time?? It’s a birthday month coupon and it’s Jan 27th. So no. Then she figures out how to work the computer and tells me it’s not off the entire package, it’s just one service in the package and she “doesn’t think” the coupon applies to packages. And she “doesn’t think” I should be able to take 32 dollars off my service. Nowhere in my email does it say it doesn’t apply to packages- just not discounts or promotions. Which this wasn’t, this was something off their menu 365 days a year. I have applied it to my total visit multiple times in the past. Then in all of this arguing my gift card gets forgotten, and she tells me it’s too late. I’m just really annoyed- I get one day to myself. And it was completely ruined at the end. I told her I wanted someone to call me, so we will see what happens with that. But that I even have to have a conversation with anyone at all is ridiculous- I discussed all of this when I booked the appointment.

would never go back to this spa!! My Estheticians was amazing and this poor review is not a reflection of my treatment! My mom, sister, niece and I scheduled a spa day. My sister called to book because it was easier. A 50%deposit was required,(ok, fine). When we got there I asked if I can pay for my own service. She said if I pay using a different card then it was booked with she will charge an additional service fee.(ok fine) so I asked if I can pay the tip separately, same answer. I asked for a detailed receipt so I can know what to venmo to my sister. There was an 18% service fee added. We said oh is this the tip. She said no, that the managers fee for having a group of 4. I said why, she didn't really know. I said $85 for a service fee and nothing extra was done for us. That was crap!! I will never go back there.

I’ve been waiting for the spa director to call me back for a few days now. I had a gift card I wanted to use for my massage. I got the prenatal massage as I’m 33 weeks pregnant. The front office staff refused to accept my gift card because it said Swedish massage on it. When I asked what the difference was. She could not tell me besides the pillow they use. I would have liked to just pay the difference of the massages as I would like to use my gift card. All the front staff did was stare at me and say it wouldn’t work with the computer system.

I went for a lash lift and it came out pretty terrible. My naturally straight eyelashes were nowhere near lifted. I was not satisfied with the service and was unable to get a refund.

Love this spa for a true experience of relaxation and treating yourself. A great escape in Fresno! Complimentary wine or tea with your massage and option to wear robe and hang out in their lounge. Love going to their pop ups and parties.

I received a gift card while I was pregnant for a massage but it’s a Swedish massage. When I contacted them about wanting massage, but then I was pregnant they told me that I could not use the gift card. I offered to pay the difference between the Swedish massage and the prenatal massage and I was told that was not allowed. Policy seems absurd that I can’t use my gift card just because I’m pregnant. What makes me most upset is I voiced my opinion of how wrong this is and asked to speak to a manager it was told that manager would contact me shortly that was a week ago. I’ve done a lot of business at this salon and I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Edit: i called you back weeks ago and never received a call back Your website clearly states that a prenatal massage is similar to Swedish massage but just avoiding different areas. I don’t know how the gift card was purchased as it was a gift.

**Long Review** This year for me is skincare, I have never had anything done on my face before so I thought I would start looking. That being said, I have looked at so many places, but nothing really got my attention. My husband heard about La Peau on the radio and I have seen it on Instagram. So I decided to begin there. I scheduled myself a facial for the first time. I was so nervous until I opened the doors and wow, I felt like I opened a whole new world. Everything in the front was so beautiful, smelled amazing and the front girls are so sweet. They comforted me since I was so nervous. I was called to the back by Miss Aimee, she is so welcoming. She made me feel so at ease, as we did our introduction and I was explaining to her, she dug more deeper and asked questions that I didn’t even think matter.I thought it was something simple, nope, my face was bad. As we started she explained everything to me as she was going through my face, I am so glad she did. it made me understand what and why everything was being used for. I had so many questions and she welcomed them all with no judgment even if some were stupid. I felt so relaxed which was a first for me. This is just a side note: She has this huge mirror in her room as we were done I looked at myself and I started to see the difference and my confidence lifted. I have not felt that In a long time. She was able to get an idea on a game plan for my face and it makes me excited for the year, yes it will take time nothing happens over night, but I cannot wait to return.

First time to La Peau today. I attended with a large ladies group for a spa day. I booked my service a month before the event and had confirmation of the appointment on my phone. When I arrived, the receptionist informed me that she did not have anything scheduled for me despite the text confirmation I provided. My friend also showed text confirmation of our separate appointments which were booked simultaneously. Ultimately, they offered me an appointment for the same service 2 hours from the time I had originally arrived if I was willing to wait. The spa is not in close/convenient proximity to my home and so I opted to wait. The facilities are very pretty and I have no complaint regarding the actual facial itself (my esthetician was kind and professional). However there was no apology given by the receptionist or management for the scheduling mishap resulting in an extended wait time for my service and the loss of the original appointment I had booked. Overall the interaction with the receptionist over the issue was poor- she was not warm, friendly or accommodating. When I inquired about some sort of discount for the scheduling error on behalf of the spa, the receptionist informed me she would check with her manager and let me know which never happened. I paid full price and waited several hours even with a text confirmation of the original appt on my phone. $150, extended waiting and no “I’m so sorry for the inconvenience/ error that occurred” and I likely will not be returning. Good customer service is all that it takes to remedy mishaps like this (mistakes happen, no one is perfect!) but because I didn’t experience any such effort I will spend my money elsewhere next time.

I had the BEST girls this day past weekend and the icing on the cake was the facial at LA Peau. As soon as I walked in the building there was this wonderful eucalyptus scent that filled the air, the building is gorgeous and feels luxurious as you walk in the massive doors and up the staircase. The salon entry has an adorable gift shop when you walk in, there are beautiful chandeliers and relaxing classical music playing. The staff were so sweet and I instantly felt relaxed and welcomed. After being greeted we were offered a beverage and escorted to the lounge where there was comfortable seating and snacks. The facial I received was AMAZING it was relaxing and put me to sleep--my skin felt and looked so good afterwards. I was so impressed at how high end the experience felt yet the prices were crazy affordable. There is no doubt that I will be a returning customer and will be referring all my friends and family.

I have gone to dozens of spas and am not new to facials or microdermabrasion. This is the first facial I’ve ever had where I didn’t receive a shoulder and arm massage while my mask sat. The esthetician left me alone in the room to let me “relax while my mask sits”. I also had a Swedish massage and it was a waste of $100. Half of the time the masseuse massaged me with the blanket still on me. Will not be returning and def sticking to Muses.

I notified La Peau directly days before leaving this review and received no response regarding the worst massage Ive ever received at the spa last week. Although the spa is beautiful and the therapist was very nice, her flow, technique and skill were poor to none. I mentioned when I made the appt that I preferred someone with strong hands. I stated to the therapist when I arrived that I prefer firm pressure and reiterated the same 10 minutes into the “massage”. What I received was not a massage but hardly a lotion application. My neck nor my legs above the knee were touched at any point. I laid their wondering how to be polite and just excuse myself. Instead of feeling relaxed, I left annoyed that I spent an hour and my money on such a waste of time. I paid extra last time on a deep tissue and left disappointed. (I had bought a few massages during their sale. What a waste!) Please La Peau, do a better job of vetting your staff.

My husband and I have been to this spa a couple of times for a massage - both experiences were really nice, the staff is so sweet and welcoming! They have a lounge to change into a robe with a glass of wine, and the beds in the rooms are like a cloud! So soft and cozy. We enjoyed the massages a lot.

My sister-in-law’s and I had a girls spa day. I had a massage by Jessica and a facial with Ariel. They were both fantastic and made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed at all times. I would HIGHLY recommend the two of them. I would rate my experience 5 stars, except that they would not let the three of us use our rewards after signing up for their rewards program. They told us that since we booked our services together during one phone call then they would not be able to separate our services and let us earn our rewards separately. They also would not let us pay separately for our services. If you would like to take advantage of their rewards program, schedule separately! We were all highly satisfied with our services but very disappointed that they did not have any flexibility with the rewards program and payment.

My wife had a wonderful experience. This was her first time doing a massage and was nervous but the lady that gave her the massage was friendly and talked her through everything she was doing. I wish I knew her name, I’d give her a shout out. A bit pricey but luxury is not for everyone

Nice atmosphere !!! Customer service is excellent!!! George is phenomenal been to him twice. I forgot the name of the lady who did my facial. I will go to her again. They do offer lots of services and wine!!!! You will not be sorry go pamper yourself here!!!

OK for Fresno. Everyone was very kind and polite but my massage and facial were below average. My deep tissue massage was not even close and my facial was just generally odd, extremely oily, and left some damage. I also appreciated the Bellini I was given while waiting, but realized after I had drunk it that the glass rim was really dirty. Not OK. I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't deliver. I hope they can improve the service quality in the future. **In response to the owner's reply: I did request increasing the pressure during my massage because it started out as light swedish even though I spoke with the technician about it being a deep tissue massage prior to starting. After then having to ask for increased pressure during the massage I realized she just didn't understand so I just decided to enjoy my swedish massage. Unfortunately I still paid extra for something I didn't get. I also clearly communicated to skip the sunscreen with my esthetician, so I assume she did. The damage was left due to pressure and slipping of the tool used for extractions. And no, a European facial shouldn't leave damage. It also shouldn't leave you looking like an oil slick and feeling you need to wash your face. I do want to note that both service technicians were kind and I think they tried (which is why I don't mention them by name). I am also a seasoned spa-goer and have a ton of experience with massage and facials from myriad locations and am familiar with variations in technique and product use. This was not that. The service was legit bad. This is an honest, and honestly generous review of my experience trying this Fresno business for the first time. Clearly the problem stems from the top based on the reply below, offering no resolution to make it right for me or even an apology...not even for that dirty glass. Yikes. Thats some weird denial...and shockingly bad customer care, based on which I am adjusting this to 1-star. Hopefully this will help kick things up a notch and maybe you'll have a better experience than me.

I can’t rave enough about this place! Everything about La Peau is absolutely amazing. Their new location is in a prime location and is in the most beautiful building! Their space is very well thought out & is clean, fresh, modern & very relaxing. They now offer a relaxation room where you can sip on a beverage of choice in a cozy robe before or after your treatment. Their staff is knowledgeable & the owner, Aimee is a doll! She does an incredible job in helping each & every client find treatments specific to their skin type/problem areas. I’ve gotten a number of different services done at La Peau & can’t wait to go back!

I got a 60 min Swedish massage and a hydrafacial. Sarah my massage therapist was great. I will definitely book again with her. I scheduled my facial with Aimee but got Ariel instead. Due to this, I only gave 4 stars. I wish I was informed prior to my session. But Ariel did a great job. She was knowledgeable and gentle. The location was relaxing and clean. I was offered coffee, tea, water, wine and Bellini. Everyone was friendly and professional. I did hear some loud construction work going on during my sessions. It sounded like their neighbor downstairs or next door but I understand that it’s out of their control. I highly recommend this spa and will definitely be back soon! 💆🏻‍♀️
