This place had gone downhill since I first started going a few years ago, but this last time was finally the deal breaker for me. I spent 15 minutes with Lisa to get my hair colored and then the rest of my time (another 1.5 hours) is spent with a student/newbie because apparently they're a 'learning salon', (but they never tell you that and the prices certainly don't reflect it.) If I wanted a student to do my hair, I would go to the school and pay a fraction of the price. I have made it clear several times to Lisa that I do not like being passed off to the students...most of the time leaving with a drenched shirt because they don't even know how to rinse/wash your hair properly. This last time was probably the worst - Lisa had already moved onto another client and never checked my color before the student came to rinse it out, no one checked the color in the bowl and then when it was blow dried it was very red and dark and not at all my usual color. When I pointed it out to Lisa, she basically shrugged and said 'it's the same forumula as every time' - but offered zero solution. The reality is, my hair takes longer to process and often looks reddish when color isn't left on long enough...but all of this should have been caught by your colorist who you have been seeing regularly for years. Add insult to injury when I get to the checkout and the price has gone up 20% since my last visit...so needless to say, I will not be back. I am not paying hundreds of dollars and premium prices to have my hair done by brand new students who are barely out of high school.

The day after Lisa "colored my hair" like the black bangs? Yeah me neither. How about those roots? The day after? There were some posts about how rude lisa is. She isn't rude she hates her job. She has been doing this for 35 years and hates it. She cant wait to start doing sales on the internet. Do yourself a favor do not go here to get your hair colored.

Been a long time Customer, but my last service was painfully expensive and I didn’t notice a difference. When inquiring about it with a salon, they pushed blame on me for getting the wrong kind of service, when in fact, this was their recommendation.

I am so glad to have found this salon, and Shaun specifically! She always does a fantastic job with my thick, curly hair that can be challenging to work with. She is great at listening to what I ask for, and also using her expertise to make suggestions that always leave my hair looking healthy and fabulous. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing as well. Already looking forward to my next cut!

Such a great experience with the team here! Everyone is so kind and helpful! I wan to highlight how cheerful and accommodating the front desk is and outstanding talent from Lily and Nayeli. I started off with a consultation with Lily and she absolutely delivered on making my hair feel lighter and easier to manage. She blended in my old bangs and added soft layers, making my hair less high maintenance to style every day. Nayeli created the perfect plan for adding some vibrancy to my hair color. She turned my dull and greying hair into warm and sunny hues that add depth and playfulness. She understands the science of color and is so open and transparent about what to expect with the results. I love the team here and look forward to coming back!

I had a 10am appt with Tan today. When I showed up a few min before 10 I was greeted by an unsmiling hostess who told me Tan would be right with me and then she went back to staring at her computer. What she didn’t tell me is that Tan wasn’t even in the building. They didn’t offer me any update or ask if I was comfortable. In fact, I felt like I had bothered her to check in. There was absolutely no communication by the staff while I waited. At 10:10 I walked up to inquire about Tan and was told they would try calling him to see where he was. That’s when things started to unravel. Tan came in from the parking lot about 5 min later looking like he’d just rolled out of bed. He said he had been sitting in his car because he thought I was late. That made no sense to me so I asked what he meant. He then said their system must have a problem because he didn’t receive the message letting him know I’d arrived. If he wasn’t even at work yet, why would it have mattered? Shouldn’t he have come in to set up for me? His whole explanation made no sense. He then asked me (still standing in the lobby) what I wanted done with my hair. I asked him if he wanted to discuss it there in the lobby or if we should go back to his chair. Tan said he couldn’t take me back because there was an Islamic woman back there who didn’t want a man to see her without the hijab. They kept repeating this as if it were the woman’s fault instead of theirs that they were running late. It bordered on Islamophobic which irritated me even more. So I asked, “you mean you don’t have a station to cut my hair?” He said no, he couldn’t go back there because of this other client. (So why would they book me if they didn’t have a place to see me?) At that point, another employee suggested he use someone else’s station. They obviously hadn’t thought through the situation as that was the obvious solution (the place has two sections divided by a wall). The woman who they had been referencing came up to pay at this point and her stylist joined the conversation. She was professional and nice, but there was no way I was letting Tan cut my hair at that point and no alternative solution was offered to me. I didn’t trust his judgement, presentation or customer service. My final thoughts are these: 1. They need a re-training on customer service for their front staff. 2. Stylists should be on time 3. Stylists should look professional 4. Don’t make excuses, offer solutions 5. Communicate with clients. My issue isn’t him running late. It is the complete lack of communication or care for my comfort that got to me. I should not be made to feel I am not important. 6. If there is an issue, don’t hash it out in the lobby, sit down with the client somewhere comfortable.

Today was my second visit with Kyrie. She is so personable and friendly!! I really enjoy sitting in her chair! She is an amazing colorist and is very talented! The placement of my highlights has been perfect both times at the exact icy blonde tone I like! I can’t wait to see her again for my next visit!! :)

I’ve read all the nice reviews on here and that was the reason I’ve booked an appointment with those so called “professionals”. I’ve waited for exact 49 days for my appointment and how distressed I was to get a cold and dry sms with a price increasing of $60. That text was sent few hours before my appointment take place, which was clearly an attempt to get extra money from me or to get a spot for another more important client, who would probably spend more than me. Two days before the appointment they sent me a text to confirm it. Nothing was said about price increasing! That was the worse treatment that I had in my life! I wouldn’t mind to pay more, but I’m not used to be treated like that. Besides I have always had vip treatment on the places that I went to, so anything less than that bothers me a lot! If they risked a new client for only $60, then I must say that they choose clients. And maybe, then, it was not a bad thing not being able to have my hair done there at all! They are completely unprofessional and have not even a drop of ethic, if they disrespected me like that for only $60! And you know what’s more ridiculous? They ended up offering me the same $60 off after stressing me like that! Like I said, I’m used to have amazing treatment on the places where I have my hair done and I find it distressing to be asked to call their manager, if I want to speak with them! They should be the one calling me with a hundred of apologies for all that stress! I had an important meeting in the following day and I trusted them to do my hair! By sending me a text message few hours before my appointment I didn’t have time to set up another place! Clearly they wanted me to pay more due to the lack of able time to have another option! Awful place! Only after money!🤢

As for the salon: what a fun bright space to do self maintenance! The feel is easy and pro, and their product line is well curated, and the steps taken to ensure cleanliness made me feel safe. As for Ric Salvadalena, hair master extraordinaire: I will wait any time for an appointment with him, Ric has extreme talent and vision, he is the only person I allow to touch my fine, thick hair, and if I could clone him I would, if he wouldn't mind.

I came in with very high expectations because of my bad experiences with other hair salons. I trusted the reviews and boom..I was shocked. I had Brenda cut my hair. I couldn’t find any reviews of her on here or on Yelp so I was a bit nervous. And honestly, she’s underrated. I am so happy I came into this salon with all my trust on Brenda. She’s such a beautiful, happy person who deserves so much for giving me such a good experience with amazing advice! Thank you to everyone at the studio, especially Brenda ❤️

I have gotten my hair done twice at this salon with Makenna. With each time I have been completely blown away by her professionalism, expertise, creativity, time management, and overall refreshingly upbeat demeanor. She has so much skill and knowledge and is always happy to share about the process. I definitely have made a mess of my hair from previous home experiments and am baffled at how much she always seems up to what feels like an impossible challenge- and succeeds beyond my expectations! Makenna is a true miracle worker and hair aficionado. Your hair is an extension/expression of your personality and has such influence on your confidence. I can 100% say that Makenna's work has me feeling most like myself/a billion bucks. I will not trust anyone else with my hair and would be willing to drive the distance just to see her. She is the total package and would be a great asset to any salon. The salon itself is lively, clean, and everyone here is quite warm and welcoming. There have been several moments where colleagues have stopped by to compliment on Makenna's work (and I often hear uplifting comments being passed between everyone in general) and I can tell that they have a strong, supportive family going on here.
