This salon is very clean, offers many services, and has very friendly staff and owners. If you don’t see an available time listed in their openings, make sure to put your name on the waitlist for any days interested! They will get back to you and find a way to get you in! Convenient location with plenty of parking.

Hands down, the best place in town!! I COULDN'T RECOMMEND SHANA AND JAHNAVI MORE!! I've received balayage coloring by both of them and they do a perfect job every time. They are truly crafts(wo)men and artists. They take their craftsmanship seriously and it's a joy getting my hair done by them.

I am overwhelmed with joy from the results of my wedding hair and makeup with Jahnavai from La Vie En Rose Cville! She absolutely made my wedding day magical. I am from Colorado and had a destination wedding in Cville. I was nervous to take a chance, but I'm so HAPPY that I did. The end result was exactly what I was hoping for. My makeup felt like me, and not over done. I left feeling so happy and beautiful! I would highly recommend this salon for anyone. She was so helpful in guiding me to choose the right styles for me. The decor and overall feel of the salon is very charming and comfortable. Thank you Jahnavi for doing my hair and makeup!! You are wonderful, and made my day so special.

One difficult part of moving different places in life is to find the right hair salon. With a local google search, I found la Vie en Rose and I am so glad I did. Jahnavi made me feel very comfortable from the get-go and did listen to my needs on a separate appointment before getting the color and cut done. I am very happy with the results and looking forward to my next apt !

Charlottesville, you are so lucky to have Shana as one of your own. I've seen Shana for color for the past several years in Chicago and she is a brilliant colorist. She listens to the vibe you're going for and is able to magic it into the most amazing color for your hair (she's done reds and blondes with balayage for me) . Everything I knew I needed and more came in this experience of getting my hair cut with Shana. This was my first time to the salon and she fixed my hair after a very bad cut at a different salon the previous week. Shana listened and talked precisely about the steps she would take and did a great job of sectioning my hair and giving an overall beautifully balanced bob. I felt energized and at ease in the beautiful La Vie En Rise Studio. I will absolutely be coming back for more atmosphere and excellent hair care!

I loved this salon so much that I brought my mom, who's hair cut turned out SO well, AND scheduled my fiancé for an appointment. This salon and these woman are full of good vibes. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair! Shana is a total pro, she has great style and can easily recommend something that makes you feel beautiful and wears well. I'm always indecisive, so I just let her do what she thinks will complement me and it's always perfection. The shop is also super cute!

I’ve gotten my hair done by Jahnavi since I moved to Cville 5 years ago. She is so talented! During the disaster that was planning a wedding during COVID, she was incredibly flexible and my hair and make up turned out perfectly!!! I also recently scheduled an appointment with Shana and couldn’t have been happier with my cut and color!!

Jahnavi did an amazing job doing my mom and I's hair and make-up for my wedding ceremony. Super attentive to detail. Made me feel completely at ease, and I looked AMAZING on my special day. She has since also become my go-to hair stylist, so now I also get to look forward to regular haircut appointments and catching up with her every couple of months. Highly recommend.

Jahnavi did my wedding hair and makeup and she was simply wonderful. We did a trial run before my engagement photos (which turned out beautifully!) and tweaked it just a tiny bit for the wedding day. I was so happy with the results! I felt beautiful in my makeup - she hid all my "flaws" but I didn't feel too made-up, which was perfect. And my hair was absolutely amazing, I felt like a mermaid. Jahnavi is so relaxed and lovely to work with, she really helped keep me calm the morning of the wedding. I cannot recommend her enough!

Shana does the most amazing blond highlights I’ve ever seen or have had done. Truly beautiful. Woman’s an artist. My blond is vibrant but tasteful, edgy yet natural, and the roots even grow out pretty. Don’t know how she does it. Shana, you are the best best best.

Shana is pure magic & quite possibly the best colorist I have ever had. She takes the time to get to know your hair. And rather than just give you beautiful color, she also takes into account the health & potential damage said color might have on your hair. She has nursed my locks back to health twice, all while maintaining the perfect look. I would recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful color & minimal damage. And, she's just super fun to hang out with.
