My Experience at Lady Shay’s Hair Salon I want to share my experience at Lady Shay’s Hair Salon so others can make informed decisions. During my appointment, I entrusted the stylist to apply and properly rinse out a perm. Unfortunately, the stylist failed to remove the perm correctly, which led to significant damage to my hair. As a result, I lost a substantial amount of hair, causing emotional distress and requiring me to seek corrective care elsewhere. I feel it’s important for the salon to address this type of negligence and improve their training or oversight to prevent such incidents from happening to others. I hope my feedback can lead to better accountability and professionalism within their services. 💫P.S Please do not go to Toya Unprofessional and Harmful Experience at Lady Shay’s Hair Salon I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Lady Shay’s Hair Salon. Not only did the stylist fail to properly rinse out a perm, causing me to lose a significant amount of hair, but I also received an unprofessional follow-up. The stylist called me, stating the owner wanted to set up a time for a conversation, which felt like a way to shift blame rather than take accountability. This entire situation has been disheartening and frustrating. I trusted this salon to provide professional care, but instead, I was treated with negligence and dismissiveness. Let me be clear: I am a queen and should be treated as such. I did not damage my own hair—I am a victim of their unprofessional actions. To anyone considering visiting Lady Shay’s, I urge you to stand guard. This experience has shown me that professionalism and respect are not guaranteed at this establishment. Proceed with caution. A Warning About Lady Shay’s Hair Salon I want to provide an update to my experience with Lady Shay’s Hair Salon. After my initial review about losing my hair due to the stylist’s negligence in properly rinsing out a perm, I finally received a call from the stylist (Latoya) responsible for the damage. It’s worth noting that I didn’t hear from anyone until after I posted my review, even though my mother had given one of the stylists, Marissa, my contact information yesterday. It seems that instead of taking proactive accountability when they learned of my situation, they only responded after my public review highlighted the issue. This delayed and reactionary approach speaks volumes about their lack of professionalism and genuine concern for their clients. Let me reiterate: I am a queen and deserve to be treated as such. This entire ordeal has left me feeling disrespected and victimized. I trusted this salon to care for my hair, not to damage it and then avoid taking responsibility until I spoke out. To anyone thinking of visiting Lady Shay’s, be cautious. My experience has shown me that professionalism and respect are not priorities here. #AndThatsOnPeriodT💯

In response to Britt 11/23, As the stylist who was servicing you and your girls, the lack of respect for me, the shop where I and the other stylists conduct our business, the clients and Miss Shae will not be tolerated. We value our teams wellbeing and our clients experience. Your behavior disrupted our operations and disrespected our policies that I myself clearly communicated to you. In order to maintain a positive environment for our stylists and clients we cannot have people deliberately ignoring the rules and causing unnecessary disturbances. Miss Shae is more than fair, and we all agree and uphold these policies as that is what works for the salon to maintain comfort and safety for all of us. You were argumentative and rude and it was kind of Miss Shae to allow your daughter to still be serviced after such a nasty exchange, which is a further testament of her kindness in not punishing your daughter for this unfortunate business. I’ve been going to Jamie for 2 years. My hair is so much healthier and longer!! I always get compliments on my two strand twists. I am always laughing while I’m with her. ❤️

Jamie is amazing! I’ve gotten my hair done by her a few times, and my silk presses always last for weeks—I only wash them out when I’m ready for a change. My hair has gotten so much healthier since I started seeing her. She’s super sweet, and I love being in her chair. Every visit is a great experience. 10/10 recommend!

Response to BRITT 11/23. I was there when this incident occurred, and when you arrived you came to the door with an attitude, this is not the type of environment that we as a salon are used to, this put us all on edge because we didn’t know what was the issue, as a SALON WE ALL decided on the policy that each client is to wait in there car until we the stylist are ready to service you, Shae did everything that she was supposed to do to keep us safe and to diffuse the situation, it just seems like you BRITT were wanting to have an issue and it was to the point where I had to stop working to see if Shae needed further assistance to diffuse the situation, and again as a stylist that has been here working for 6yrs this is not how we operate. You Britt as a client don’t get to come in our establishment and dictate how we operate and run the business, these policies are in place for the clients safety as well as ours. Shae apologized to us several times for the disturbance you caused BRITT. Our clients LOVE the way we operate. As stylist, we appreciate SHAE because she involves us in the making of policies and rules. We wish you well, at your next salon home. The isn’t it. Take care.

This is in response to BRITT review on 11/23. I’m a stylist at this wonderful establishment. For some reason you were rude soon as you came to the door… honestly we were all listening and surprised at your demeanor, soon as Shae greeted you. She was extremely professional, but we could tell you were upset because you couldn’t have your way. After going back and forth, you then admitted that you had been here several times before and was completely aware of the our policy 🤔…. That meant you were looking for trouble. Shae did everything she was supposed to and you should be thankful she let your daughter continue to get services… because we thought she was going to make you leave, immediately. I’ve worked here for 12 years!!! Yes 12… and I love the way SHAE protects our environment. Shae is fair. She makes sure everyone is treated well and does NOT tolerate any nonsense (YOU). But because of your nonsense, you’re not welcomed here. ✌🏽

Vanessa was awesome. She knew what to do, used an amazing product that locked in my moisture for days and was just nice in meeting all my needs! This was also a very neat, private and personable atmosphere! Definitely going back!

Where do I start. My name is Jamie and I'm new to Greensboro area. I came to Lady Shae's salon looking for a home. Hell a mentor. When I say GOD is GOOD. Shae is really a lovely person. This lady has helped me in ways you wouldn't imagine. Shae is very intelligent and business savvy. Shae help me grow my clientle, market myself, educated me on products, cut styles, hair texture and just taking charge of your space (Insider). was scared just to be surrounded by other stylist whom been in the game for years. This group of stylist at Lady Shae's salon are amazing. From the dedication to their clients, the shop and others. Everyone has either gave me hair tips, educated me on healthy hair and product's, customers, on site tutorial on the trendy styles or even a pep talk to encourage me. I have to say this is One of THE best salon in Greensboro. From the up beat tunes, to the laughter through out the salon, to the refreshments for the guest, The BoMB Hair stylist hands down...🤩

My best friend got scammed by someone on a Facebook group to get dolled up for a wedding but the staff here took care of her and has made 2 new clients ! Thank you so much
