I have been coming to Ladybird Society since before they were Ladybird Society! Jena does my cut and Koko does my color (a.k.a. ✨ magician ✨). Koko has worked with every color I’ve wanted to try with finesse and glamour, while keeping it as edgy as I’ve wanted. Highlights, lowlights, balayage, foil, tint, and anything else you need. I cannot recommend her enough! Jena is my cut and style guru, with any style achievable for her amazing hands and vision. I change my haircut…often. 😉 Jena knows what to do, how my hair will respond, and we work within what my actual lifestyle will support with styling time. And same thing…I get very classy cuts and styles while being as edgy as I want. They surpass my expectations every single time! Also, not only are they expert technicians, but they have set up a space that welcomes, empowers, and supports everyone who walks through the door and the community-at-large. I leave feeling great about myself because my hair is 🔥 and my soul is seen. It’s truly the most wonderful space. I cannot recommend Jena and Koko enough! Book at Ladybird Society today. It’s the very best in Austin!

I’ve been seeing Kendra for a year now and have followed her from a salon that was closer to me to one that is a further drive and don’t think twice about it. I am horrible at describing what I want with color and she’s always able to decipher my gibberish, because she asks the right questions, to give me exactly what I’m picturing in my head. She’s super smart, super chill and I love talking to her. Today was my first time at Ladybird and the space is fabulous and welcoming and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend Ladybird, and especially Kendra!

Absolutely LOVE Ladybird Society! I've been flying from Las Vegas for the last two years to see the amazing Robin Marquardt. She has helped me become the best blonde version of myself I could have ever wished for! Her knowledge, attention to detail, inquisitive and fun conversation truly make it a one of a kind experience. To top it all off, I absolutely love the vibe of the studio- professional, fun and relaxing all at the same time. Already looking forward to my next trip!

Kendra is the BEST!! I’ve been going to her for years now and I’d follow her to any salon. I’ve been a blonde my whole life, and she’s done so many things to help me achieve the color I want while making sure my hair stays strong and healthy. Not to mention she’s such a fun, sweet person. Couldn’t recommend her enough!!

My hair stylist Robin is incredible! I was afraid to get a shag because I have fine hair and layers can turn into a mullet in a heartbeat. Robin walked me through the style and how she’d be able to accomplish a shag even with my hair type. You can tell she loves what she does and her confidence made it easy to trust she knew what I was hoping for. I couldn’t believe the cut turned out better than I imagined! She even walked me through a couple styling tips and some products I could use. Great salon. Great hair stylist.

Jes Coles has been doing my hair on & off for years. I was way too excited when I found out she was coming back to the Austin area. She always kills my blonde hair but lets me take risks as well when I want to change it up. She specializes in ALL color, before she left Washington State she was doing my sister’s hair & it was a beautiful blue color. I’m telling you she DOES it ALL, and is really fun to talk too or just relax with.

Jess is now my go to gal for my haircuts. She listens to what I want for my hair. We currently have a hair goal of letting my hair grow out so she’s very particular in just trimming split ends. Jess is also a lovely human being to just talk to about all of her animals, real estate, and everything hair. I highly recommend her for a great time and leave with a great hair cut.

I had my hair coloring appointment with Kelsey on August 24th and just everything was absolutely amazing! All of the ladies that work in the salon are incredibly friendly and the salon itself is so beautifully decorated and inviting. It was an absolute dream to have Kelsey work on my hair. She was so so detail oriented with everything which is exactly what I love in a hairdresser. She completely understood what I was asking for and went above and beyond. I was there for several hours and as expected got a little hungry and she was even sweet enough to offer to pick-up the food for me if I wanted ( I've never had a hairdresser offer this before). Definitely see her for the blonde of your dreams!

Kelsey Adams has been doing my hair for over 3.5 years now, and I have never once left the salon not loving my hair. So when she moved to Ladybird Society, of course I was going to follow her. She somehow always knows exactly what I want and has helped me achieve and maintain the perfect blonde without damaging my hair. Kelsey does an amazing job at transitioning my bright summer blonde to a deeper winter shade, and then back to a bright summer blonde! Recently she became certified in hand-tied extensions, and I was so happy that I didn’t have to find another stylist to achieve my long, mermaid hair goals. If you’re a blonde (or wanting to be), go see Kelsey at Ladybird Society!! I’m so sad that I will be moving out of state and Kelsey can’t come with me!

Kelsey is such a great stylist! She has been doing my color for almost 3 years. Not only is it gorgeous (I get tons of compliments), it grows out so well. As a low maintenance (uh, lazy?) gal, I don’t want to invest a ton of time and money into my hair. I am able to have fab hair at such value without having to commit to frequent appointments. The studio is beautiful in a perfect location with free parking! 10/10 recommend.

The salon has an amazing vibe and the stylists are so chill and joyful. You can tell everyone LOVES what they do and loves their clients. I've been going to Robin and she takes excellent care of me. She truly listens to what you’re looking to do for your hair and nails it every time. They have great drinks, coffee, and treats while you're getting pampered as well. Today was my first time at the salon to see Kelsey Adams. Kelsey Has been doing my hair for eight years. I would follow her anywhere. Her hair skills are unmatched. She makes me feel like a goddess lol. She is a master at blondes, but also loves dimensional pieces As well as event styling. And many many more. she is truly talented. She recently started her new journey at Lady Bird and oh my gosh this salon is beautiful. Everyone in the entire salon is so nice and so inviting. They thoughtfully picked out everything from the rugs, to the plants, to the beams above the salon space. The AESTHETIC Is on point. Please go give this place a chance, and you will not regret it. i Could go on and on. But go see for yourself!

As soon as I walked in, I knew that I had found my place. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish. Everyone working there is friendly and professional. It’s clear that they mean business. Jena is the type of person that can just instantly make you feel at ease as she listens to what you’re going for and offers her opinion of the best way to get there. And she’s so fun to talk to, you’ll be sad to leave when she’s finished working her magic! I’m so glad to have FINALLY found my forever salon!

Moving and finding a new provider for something as personal as your hair can be hard. I moved to Austin from New York during COVID, and initially had a hard time finding a colorist who would listen to what I’d like to achieve and be realistic about the steps to get there. It’s been a long-time goal of mine to eventually try out vivids, and through some network suggestions I’d wound up finding Kaity Kovar (@colorbykaity). Kaity is, out of the five to ten stylists/colorists I’d talked with, the only one who had offered a throughout consultation with timelines and transparency to meet my goals. I’d felt like so many other people I’d spoken with had given me wishy washy answers, or flat out made my hair colors that I was downright unhappy with. She was honest and forthcoming about the work and care needed, which is super easy to forget as we scroll socials and find things we like. I’ve been working with Kaity for over two years now and would absolutely recommend working with her no matter where you are in your color journey. While I’m no longer a vivid girl, I look forward to every appointment. She treats clients as friends and exemplifies professionalism, kindness, and empathy. Kaity actively communicates every step of her process keeping you in the loop of what’s going on, where your money is going, and you really leave her chair feeling like a rockstar every time. With all that being said, I also love the salon itself and anyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Parking is easy, Davines is well stocked, and it really feels like a nice little repose in my day even when I stop by for a bang trim. Thanks y’all for all that you do!

I have hair that doesn’t fit into any one category and she asked thoughtful questions to understand what I was looking for and delivered with such confidence. I recently had my hair colored by Kaity (@colorbykaity) & my haircut by Robin (@thehairwitchery) & I am telling you right now, I have never been so obsessed w/ the richness of my red hair & the boldness of my cutie bob! The attention to every detail you mention for your desired look is heard & achieved, Kaity shows you how to hold the color as long as possible, meanwhile Robin shows you how to work what ya mama got ya + how to enhance it! I am particular. Verrry particular. I have fine hair that is very dark brown and deal with some thinning. I’m a tough person to have be satisfied and I also don’t always do a great job using the right terminology to describe what I want in a look. That being said, I have LOVED my experience with Jena cutting my hair for years now. She listens, and has impeccable detail and artistry in what she does. For fine hair, every tiny tendril makes a difference and she is careful and precise. I’ve NEVER found anyone else like her. Next up, I decided to start coloring my hair again after taking a break for many years. I showed Koko some pictures, and she took the time to educate me on the terms “warm, cool or neutral”. She showed me swatches and the extra time and care led to me LOVING the outcome. THANK YOU!! Look at this before and after (indirect light by the window and then by the salon chair)

Ladybird Society is my salon because they’re incredibly kind, knowledgeable stylists and the gorgeous environment is light-filled, pleasant, relaxing, lux, and welcoming. I would spend more time here if I could! I have fallen asleep in the chair a couple of times :) ilaina Ruth gives me stellar haircuts, but everyone in the salon is at the top of their game when it comes to cut and color. If you’re looking for a low pressure environment and a perfect haircut and color, this is your place.

I had my first ‘Ladybird’ experience this weekend and there were so many things to love about it. Jena, my stylist, is so warm and easy to talk to and what a HAIR ARTIST! I loved the space too.. the tall industrial glass garage door adjacent to the entrance lets in a ton of natural light allowing for all the plants and greenery surrounding the waiting lounge to send a little zen my way. I was warmly and promptly greeted and offered a variety of beverages and snacks (by multiple salon staff who wanted) to ensure I felt welcome and accommodated before I got in the chair. I did! I love my haircut, and the way the products smell! I will definitely recommend Jena at Ladybird Salon to all my Austin friends.

I've been getting my hair done by Robin for about a year now, and I can say with confidence that it's never looked better. She is a master at nailing a lived in, perfectly toned blonde, even as my hair has changed (hello, greys). Combine that with a cut that grows out beautifully, and I've actually been able to stretch my time between salon visits... which is sort of a bummer, because Robin is an absolute delight 💜 Ladybird is truly a gem - and I've tried *a lot* of Austin salons/stylists over the years. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Koko and Jena are hair GODDESSES. These women go above and beyond to make me and my hair feel special. Koko is patient and meticulous, mixing the exact right color for my very dark hair without it looking black. She is also consistent and precise when applying my color, achieving the exact look I have in mind. She helped me during my pandemic gray phase and dyed my virgin hair back to life. Watching Koko apply color is what I imagine Michaelangelo looked like painting the Sistine Chapel. No strand is skipped and the blending is seamless. I can’t recommend Koko enough for whatever your coloring needs are; she’s a genius! Jena is a magician. I brought her my heavy, thick, wily mop of hair after the pandemic and she made me into a new woman. After measuring my head and observing my natural hair growth patterns she asked me specific questions about how often I wash my hair, and what with, and what goals I have for my hair. With all this information she got to work like a lady Edward Scissorhands, cutting and styling my head into a work of art. I’m very particular about my hair and Jena goes out of her way to accommodate me. She marries whatever lofty idea I have in my head with an achievable cut and style. Since the first time I sat in her chair, she’s helped me discover 15 new ways to wear my bangs and I am forever grateful. To my fellow lifelong bang girls out there: you need Jena. I’m not exaggerating when I say Ladybird Society has transformed how I do my hair, see my hair, and feel about my hair.
