The hair salon is really unprofessional. The hairstylist said she was in a rush and made my balayage look really cheap in a hurry. Very disappointed in the service I was given. This was done in summer 2022

I’ld give it 0 stars if I could. I went for a blowout and makeup. Literally the worst blowout and makeup job I ever had- And I’m not super fussy. My makeup up made me look 10 years older, and my hair was so caked with dry spray it looked horrendous. My husband, who never notices much stated "you can’t go out like that” I literally jumped in the shower and washed my face and hair- which left me 50 minutes to redo both for my son's wedding .

This salon does come across as a vibrant, active salon. Personally, my experience has been quite positive. I have very thick wavey, long hair and regularly get both coloring and haircuts here. Despite the higher prices, I'm pleased because the results and expertise are worth it. Inyoung, in particular, stands out for her comprehensive knowledge and disciplined approach to coloring and hairstyling. I trust her completely with my hair and highly recommend!

I love Lakshmi! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to leave a review. I’ve seen 5 stylists here and it has always exceeded my expectations. Today Robyn gave me my dream bangs and I feel fabulous. Really down to earth, genuine stylists with natural talent. Prices are great, no one pushes product, and they all take the time to listen to what you want and create/execute a realistic, achievable vision.

The stylists are very nice and knowledgeable, however, my hair was destroyed after going to this salon for highlights. I asked for highlights with a golden/strawberry tone (rather than ashy) however, the stylist accidentally dyed my hair hot pink… I sat with my head in the sink as her team struggled to strip the color from my hair. The coloring followed by color-stripping left my hair (which is very fine) extremely brittle, and large pieces of hair broke off irregularly everytime I washed or brushed my hair. although they were generous enough to provide me free treatments for traumatized hair, I paid in full for my highlights that day, including the additional treatments they needed to give me in order to strip the color out.

I’ve been a returning customer for about two years now at Lakshmi, and honestly previously I never thought a high-end haircut was worth it, but I will never be going back! I’ve gotten my hair cut by Inyoung several times, and couldn’t be happier with the results! She is meticulous with hair, she always consults me about exactly what I want, she is so sweet, and friendly. Not to mention my pleasant interactions with staff at the front desk, who were polite, charming, and helpful. Will be coming back!

Terrible haircut from Christina A. that was so egregious that my friend said it looked like she cut my hair into one of those Tiktok broccoli haircuts. He also said that it was obvious that she had no idea what she was doing with my particular hair type. This salon does not offer refunds, but they did offer to have another stylist fix it for me, which I would not have done even if I hadn't had to go out of town. Avoid if you have curly hair that is 3C or beyond. Also avoid if you don't want to be out almost $100 with no option for a refund should you end up with a hack job masquerading as a haircut.

I had a great experience at Lakshmi Hair Studio from start to finish, I got exactly what I wanted (Alexis is a phenomenal colorist!), and was very reassuring throughout the whole process. (Kari was wonderful at cutting and blow drying) and ensured that the length being cut was as wanted which I appreciate greatly. All staff very attentive and kind! Look forward to coming back!

I'm feeling really sad and disappointed writing this. I don't normally write reviews but this really stood out as a bad experience. I spoke with the woman Beth at the front desk and talked about my options if I wanted to dye my hair red. She told me that to go directly from dark brown to red would take several hours and several hundred dollars. I thanked her for the heads up and I told her that was too expensive for me and asked what if we just went from dark brown to medium brown instead, she said that would be a single process and she booked an hour and a half slot. The day of my appointment I drove for an hour and a half to get there only to have the stylist Vinny (who was very polite and apologetic) tell me that he couldn't lighten my hair from dark brown to medium brown in an hour and a half. I asked why no one told me that on the phone before I drove all the way here and he called over the owner and the woman at the front desk who I spoke to, who both denied advising me to make a single process appointment. They even lied and said that they had called me several times to tell me not to do this. I had to literally pull up the call log on my phone and show them that I did not have several incoming calls from them before they stopped claiming that. The owner, Joe, was extremely rude and told me that he believed his staff over me and that there was nothing he would do to fix things. I had already paid for the visit in advance so I had to ask for a refund and then drive home for another hour and a half without having a single thing done to my hair. Never going back there.

I "found" John 2 years ago after a disastrous visit to another salon (my hair looked like and had the texture of a whisk broom). John is truly a master of his craft, conscientious and willing to take the time to figure out the best way to remedy the messes (yes, unfortunately there have been messes, plural; I am only "home" once or twice a year, so have to rely on others when not in PA). I can walk in and ask him to do whatever he feels is best, cut or color, and walk out feeling fabulous! His coworkers have always been friendly and courteous, to boot. Win-win.

I know things have gone up, but $300 for a haircut is ridiculous. I walked out with hair dye all over my ears and the sides of my face. Also the cut is choppy and cut way to short. I will never go back. What a waste of money.

Made an apt 3 wks in advance with Robin for a permanent wave. Received a phone call the day of that the apt was being canceled d/t a family emergency. I do not have availability to come in during the wk which is why I made an apt for Sunday. I understand family emergencies come up but as a brand new client it seems like I would have been fit in with someone else instead of offered another apt almost a week later. Not rescheduling here

This hair studio is amazing! I've been looking for a new salon and stylist and I'm so glad I found this one. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Vinny did my cut and color for the first time and I'm so happy with my results! He's so patient, kind, and talented! Highly recommend!
