I visited this hair wash spa with a friend to celebrate her birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. The ladies who took care of us were incredibly sweet and kind, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. They started with a thorough scalp examination before washing our hair, which I thought was a nice touch. After the wash, they applied a treatment and gave me a soothing shoulder massage—such a relaxing bonus! Overall, it was a very calming and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this spa for anyone looking for a little extra pampering!

My first experience having a head spa, scalp examination, hair wash. Julie took care of me and she was very thorough and the whole experience was relaxing. I got to see what my scalp looked before and after, what a difference! I also received a neck and shoulder massage. The place is small but very clean and zen like. I will definitely come back again for treatment.

What a wonderful treat! It was such a relaxing experience and so much more. I feel like I’m reborn. Kelly, the esthetician and Popo, the massage therapist were so kind, skilled, and generous with their energy and time. I really appreciate the high quality treatments and service from walking in the door to the transition back out… A lovely alternate reality. Highly recommend this place. Went for a 2 hour hair spa, facial and massage. It was so relaxing. Place is clean. Everyone was super friendly. Hot tea served at the end of the appointment was delicious.

I recently visited Lana’s Hair Wash Spa and had a generally positive experience. The spa’s ambiance was serene, with calming lighting and soft music that created a welcoming and relaxing environment. I arrived early to my appointment and had to wait, but the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the wait more pleasant. The hair wash treatment was delightful, especially the gentle scalp massage, which felt both soothing and rejuvenating. However, I was disappointed that they didn’t conduct a scalp analysis which is supposed to be part of the service. I was expecting to see my scalp under a microscope, which was a letdown. I also received a facial, which did a fantastic job of deeply cleaning my pores. However, I did notice that the specialist was really digging into my skin during the process, which felt slightly uncomfortable at times. That said, I acknowledge that it might have been my fault for not speaking up about it. Sadly I had red marks on my face for a few days. Additionally, I received a full-body massage in a different room upstairs. Unfortunately, the ambiance in this new room felt off and had an unpleasant smell compared to the original calming environment downstairs. The downstairs room had soft, soothing music and a peaceful atmosphere, whereas the upstairs room lacked music entirely. This was somewhat distracting, as I could hear phones ringing and vibrating during my service. The massage itself was just okay. I felt like the technique involved more digging into my skin rather than a relaxing touch. As a suggestion, I think maintaining the same calming atmosphere upstairs as they have downstairs would greatly enhance the experience. Adding calming music and perhaps using oil diffusers to improve the scent of the room would help match the tranquil ambiance. At the end of my visit, I found the tipping process a bit uncomfortable. While I always tip for my services, the way the staff waited for my tip payment to go through felt a little awkward and pressured. It would be much more pleasant if the tipping process were more discreet. Overall, Lana’s Hair Wash Spa provides a pleasant pampering experience with kind and attentive staff, but there is room for improvement, particularly in maintaining consistency across all their spaces and services, as well as in making the checkout process smoother and more comfortable.

The treatment started with a scalp examination followed by a neck & shoulder massage and then the hair wash and scalp treatment. I had a great experience. apt was very relaxing and my hair definitely feels better. I definitely recommend the place.

I did a combination of face hydration and head spa with a full body massage. So totally worth it. I didn’t even know so much goes into a scalp massage and cleaning. I had an awesome experience and will definitely come again. Thank you Kelli for making my head spa experience so wonderful and thank you Iris for a great massage.

We purchased the premium packages for two through Groupon. The service is awesome! Would definitely come back for more sessions. Price is reasonable in the Bay Area compared to all other beauty services. In the 100 minute session, service included hair analysis, wash, Milbon treatment, blow dry, head shoulder massage (6 stars for this if I could), and face massage. I’ve been to other places just for Milbon treatment and it was $80 already, whereas here the price is $128 but you get more than just the treatment itself! Super relaxing and would recommend all my friends to come give it a try.
