I scheduled a massage with Luis and he did a great job. I felt so relaxed afterwards. The staff is really friendly and so helpful. Kudos to all the Spa staff.

I had a great Mani Pedi here, but the front desk is unable to figure out how to charge your card appropriately and I was double charged for my services. Not only did they double charge me (which my bank notified of), they refused to correct their error and transferred me to a number in their accounting department that didn't connect to anyone. This is absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable to charge your customers twice for the same service and then do absolutely nothing to fix the problem. I would advise against going to this spa if you care about the financial security of payments. It begs the question that if they can't get this right, what else is going on with spa management?

Background: I got my wife a couples massage and spa treatment for her 50th birthday. This rating in no way reflects the wonderful massage we got. The experience and overall treatment was absolutely terrific. After the massage we looked forward to staying outside and hang out at the spa pool. The outside experience was awful. I came out to the pool and was surprised how poorly the grounds were updated and out dirty everything was. In the process of asking for a couple of lounge chairs together the server asked me to help him move them. After moving them he told me that we could have a cabana if we order a bottle of Champaign. Everyone of the cabanas were absolutely dirty and gross. I was informed that they have a problem with raccoons…. Makes sense. The server didn’t get towels, instead I had to go back and get the towels for my wife and I and then put them on the lounges. We got the Champagne that was almost hot. We did get our lunch on time and was pretty good. We ordered a couple drinks and left 40 minutes of not getting the drinks. On check out we asked the manager to take them off the bill and expressed our disappointment. The manager gave us a bunch of bad excuses about the problems resting with the bar. It was a clinic on bad management and leadership. If I ran the tpc San Antonio I would be very disappointed and attack this opportunity immediately. Bottom line: if you want a great massage than go here. But if you want an experience consistent with the cost don’t go.

I recently indulged in a facial treatment at the Lantana Spa, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was serene and inviting, setting the perfect tone for relaxation. The facial itself was incredible. My esthetician, Pamela, was knowledgeable and customized the treatment to suit my skin’s specific needs. Post-treatment, I was invited to relax in the spa’s serene lounge area. The spa’s amenities, including the steam room and sauna, were immaculate and provided the perfect complement to my facial, allowing me to extend the relaxation even further. Shane, the Spa Director, and his team are exceptional. Overall, the Lantana Spa provided a top-tier experience. I can’t wait to return!

Let me start by saying that the Lantana Spa at the JW Marriott San Antonio isn’t just a spa—it’s a journey into a world away from everything else. The spa director, Shane, is absolutely amazing and the entire staff went above and beyond. My adventure began the moment I stepped into the spa’s calming embrace, with its earthy tones and serene atmosphere. After soaking up the ambiance, I decided to treat myself to the “Ultimate Radiance Facial.” If you’re a guy and have not had a facial, it’s amazing. You look younger, get a massage and boost your confidence. Post-facial, I floated over to the spa’s lagoon-like pool to continue my relaxation, basking in the sunshine with a refreshing drink in hand. Honestly, the hardest part of the entire experience was leaving. There are only a handful of spas in the US that have their own pool and hot tub experience. Even fewer as beautiful as this one. And rare, with how quiet and peaceful the experience was. If you’re looking for a spa experience that goes beyond the usual, and leaves you happy from the inside out, the Lantana Spa is your new best friend.

First time visiting this spa, the pool was too cold to use, my 50-minute deep tissue massage lasted only about 45 minutes, the therapist's hands were uncomfortably cold, the pressure was off, and the shower kept fluctuating between cold, warm, and hot every few seconds. Won't be returning; I'll stick with my favorite masseuse, Daniel, at Oak Haven Massage.

I booked a deep tissue massage with Matthew, and his skill absolutely changed my life! The spa has clean and beautiful amenities (I am typing this from the sauna), and the staff is quite helpful and friendly. I am local to San Antonio, so I am very much looking forward to my next visit. Truly a hidden gem!

I understand a cancelation policies, but asking to slide an hour back when I see an availability on the reservations online and just fake oh no sorry is pretty annoying. I live 10 min away, multi year customer gone, but guess that’s a good trade for them if they care.

Booked a 50-minute Swedish massage with a male masseuse for a little more firm pressure. Quality of touch - inconsistent and erratic with no logical flow. Intention - seemed unfamiliar with a Swedish massage flow and kept revisiting areas he had already completed. Focus - requested areas were not the focus of the massage experience and the balance of time across each area was disproportionate. Facilities - still surprised to see almost two years later that no improvements have been made and the steam room is boarded up. Front desk staff - charming, welcoming and friendly as always.

Drove over there after work to find out they were closed. Wanted to talk to someone about a mothers day gift. Google says they close at 7pm. If you care about your customers, pay attention to this kind of stuff and fix it. If not, don’t. Gave it two stars cause the girl on the phone was friendly. Update to 5 stars: My wife said she loved her visit. They still need to update they’re hours or make sure they have people there until close.

During our stay at the resort I decided to book a last minute facial and massage. Even though I was 20 minutes late to my facial, which was completely my fault thinking I booked on another day, the receptionist was very sweet and told me if I could get there as quickly as possible I could still make my first appointment. My first appointment was a facial and Venus did an amazing job and was so sweet and easy to talk to. She also was able to get everything in that i paid for. Next i went to Ramona and she did a wonderful job on my massage, it was extremely relaxing. Both ladies were very warm and welcoming. The facility was very clean and beautiful and smelt amazing. I will definitely be booking another appointment when I return to the resort. Thank you Lantana Spa for a wonderful experience!

Not too long ago, my girlfriends and I booked a spa day. The massage I received was awful. The masseuse was on her phone and even dropped it at one point. Now, if the massage was great, maybe I could let it pass. But it was the worst I had ever had. Tried to contact the manager a few days later, left my name and number. Even left a voicemail on his phone to call me and he never did. Worst spa experience. (I did not say anything that day because I did not want to ruin our spa day, but I immediately told my friends about it in the lounge area)

Private pool and hot tub away from the rest of the resort. Kevin gave a great 100 min sports massage. Steam room was down but sauna hit the spot. Went on spring break and felt like I had the whole place to myself

The best spa experience I’ve had maybe ever! My sister came to town and wanted to do a spa day and I knew I wanted to go to a resort spa, where we could spend the day and use the amenities too. This place fit the bill and it was so easy to set up appointments. The staff were so friendly on the phone and in person. I’m a dentist so I have back and neck pain and whenever I do, I usually get a massage to get relief and for relaxation too. We booked 50 minute deep tissue massages with arnica muscle repair and muscle melter enhancements. Our appointments were at noon but we got to JW Marriott at 815 to do the Cibolo moon brunch buffet. Then we got to the spa at 9 for opening and were able to enjoy to stress and skin teas, aromatherapy room, sauna, indoor spa, outdoor spa and heated pools with pretty much complete privacy! Our massage therapists were Monica and Kristina/Kristin? and both were amazing! I told Kristina I have back and neck pain and hold tension in my head and neck and would like main focus to be on those areas. She did amazing! Early on in the massage I requested if she could ease up on the pressure because sometimes it’s a little painful for me since I’m a baby with that. She understood and from there the pressure was perfect and I enjoyed and relaxed SO much! She even gave me the extra arnica to put on sore muscles after the massage. Will probably request her again next time. Definitely come here, you won’t regret it! We were so relaxed and happy. Couldn’t have asked for a better spa day!

Very nice spa, would highly recommend! A huge thank you to Yolanda my massage therapist who really listened to my request. I greatly appreciate that! Would definitely request her again. The spa indoors is clean and staff is welcoming and friendly to all. I would have given 5 stars if the outdoor area was cleaner. I understand there are trees but outdoor cabanas curtains and seat cushions are terribly moldy. I have outdoor furniture and I understand the upkeep, I would expect more cleanliness for that portion of the area. But would definitely still return.

$680 for a couples massage in a room where you can hear the toilets flushing every five minutes! Hard to relax with that.

Absolutely the best. If you are a registered guest, you can get a day spa pass for $40. It was nice to be able to just relax and enjoy the pool, hot tubs, aromatherapy room. The poolside server (Pierce) was exceptionally great and friendly.
