The staff are really nice and make sure you leave satisfied! The salon is also more comfortable than other salons I’ve visited in NYC. Definitely a great spot for quick styles and natural hair treatment

Excellent service. I’ve been going here for years and they always make me feel so comfortable and welcome, while making sure to accommodate to everything I want when it comes to my hair( cause I come up with some crazy style ideas lol ), and every time without fail they do it exactly how I envision it. Excellent shop, would recommend.

I've been going to Latifa Natural Hair Salon for over 5 years now, and I can't recommend it enough! Mama is absolutely amazing—she does the best box braids and sew-ins I've ever had, and she does them so quickly without compromising quality. Her attention to detail and skill are unmatched. The energy in the salon is always welcoming, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. If you're looking for a quick, flawless, and professional braiding experience, this is definitely the place to go! Thank you, Mama, for always making sure I leave looking my best!

I've been meaning to leave a review. my third time being at Latifa hair salon. I must say I love the family vibes mother and her daughter's.the salon set is nice,all styles are very nice and respectful especially rokia she does my hair and she does an amazing job on my crochet braids ☺️

I had a wonderful experience at this natural hair salon. The stylists are very attentive, friendly, and efficient. I was able to have my braids removed within one hour! The salon itself is beautiful, filled with many plants and lovely decor. I highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for a high quality salon experience!

I’ve been to Latifa Natural Hair Salon four times now for braids, and I keep coming back because of the consistently great experience. The staff is always friendly, and the service is impressively quick. It’s a great spot if you’re in a rush or live nearby, as they accept walk-ins. I usually just call about 30 minutes beforehand to check if they’re open, which works perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for efficient, quality service!

My god ! i can’t believe i been looking for natural hair salon for a while… Finally I found the best hair salon . it’s so clean with nice plants… Mama did very nice loc retwist for me. I 100% recommend it🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️

This is the best natural hair salon in Downtown Brooklyn. The stylist are always friendly, quick and incredibly talented. This place is also CLEAN and you never have to wait too long. Lastly, the steam treatment they give is sooo good and relaxing. Highly recommend!

A month passed without washing & I needed a professional, after scrolling online & talking to multiple ppl on phone… I chose Latifa, & met with Mama! She takes time to detangle your hair from beginning to end. She even gave me a trim & other services necessary. She’s gentle, kind, and patient I couldn’t be more happy with the service she provided. Everyone belongs here… HOWEVER ! Black ppl will benefit most due to the knowledge & service provided for our hair types/ texture. The confidence from each worker (primarily Mama), is astound, you’ll feel comfortable entering & just as confident leaving! (I felt like I could take the world after seeing my Afro) It’s been a year since I been to a salon due to minimal care. & as a first time customer to this salon, I’ll be back

SIMPLY THE BEST. If you are a picky customer LIKE ME and need patient & professional stylists, this is the place. My stylist Rokia was very kind, professional, and patient. She took her time to fix my braids even when I asked her to change them multiple times. I did not feel uncomfortable to tell her my requests and she delivered the best! Thank you for making me very happy ❤️

This was our first time braiding and everybody in this salon was simply amazing! From helping us choosing the right hair extensions to listening to what we want to delivering a photo perfect result, I can’t recommend this salon more. Special shout out to Kady who did a wonderful job on my hair. Just love it 😍

had the worst experience at this salon. They overcharged me the cost of cornrows ,despite me calling them a day in advance and inquired about the cornrows I wanted and how much it would cost to which they told me me it would be $120 they ended up charging me $170 at the salon. I had specifically asked for 14 straight back cornrows but Latifa ended up braiding 20 reason being it will be long lasting but she never mentioned any additional charge while doing this, only to finish braiding my hair and started harassing me to add extra money because she did more, which I never asked to start with.

I definitely recommend this salon, they have really good service it’s fast, painless and they do exactly what you want if you describe it or show them a photo. They never fail to make any style look good and you should definitely go. good customer service and they are friendly.

Spent $400 on goddess braids that were not the length I asked for and the goddess strands were falling out of my hair the entire time I had the braids. Was very disappointed and won’t be returning

When I came in there was no waiting. The wonderful warm and friendly staff washed conditioned, oiled ,and twisted my locs which had a LOT of new growth all in a little over an hour. Khady is the best she did such a marvelous job on my hair. Made me feel like a brand new man. Im definitely coming back.

Fatoumata is excellent. She did my twist extensions and braided my grandson's hair and my son's hair. The salon is clean and the location is great. The other braiders I’ve used are excellent as well.

I love this salon and the stylists here! Amazing and talented, kind stylists. My hair was well taken care of and it is my new favorite spot whenever I am in NYC. My hair is relaxed and i came in for a shampoo, blowout and straighten for a very reasonable price! Come get your hair done here, you won’t be disappointed

Great for walk-in and very clean with friendly service, in fact I had my braids done here before and was extremely satisfied, but this time my knotless braids missed the mark and only lasted 7 days being wrapped and wearing a bonnet at night. They were slipping out by day three and the rest fell out this evening so not really worth the 220 I paid.
