I'm so grateful I found Kayla and her beautiful salon! The environment is clean, inviting, and modern. Kayla takes time to carefully listen to my hair goals and create a plan together before getting started. I feel heard and pampered and can't wait to keep returning for excellent cuts!

Do you need an amazing hair service you can’t go wrong with Tara,Kayla or Keena they are all masters of there crafts. The space is incredibly comfortable and welcoming. Recently I had a cut with Tara! She’s met my expectations and even went beyond what I had in mind. She gave me an awesome head massage with essential oils but the cut maybe the best haircut I’ve ever had. Plus you have to look at Tara’s beautiful earrings I couldn’t leave without getting a couple pairs!!! As a side note there is a really cute cafe next door…coffee and haircuts yes please!!!

Kayla is an absolutely amazing person, stylist, and business owner. She creates a fun and professional environment where I felt comfortable from the moment I walked through the door. And, of course, I look and feel like a rockstar every time I leave- whether it be a professional look or fun color. I have finally found my (hair) person!!!

Salon was very clean and beautiful. Tara gave me a great haircut and a very pleasant scalp massage. I went in knowing what length I wanted, for my fine hair, but not the style. She listened and asked questions about my lifestyle, then helped me decide on the cut, and executed the cut beautifully. I will definitely be going back.

I got my haircut today by Kayla and had such a wonderful experience. Kayla took time to listen to my wants/vision and then executed it perfectly. My haircut looks amazing and my hair is insanely silky and shiny. Kayla is super friendly and will make you feel right at home.

I have been going to Kayla since she started cutting hair. She has been to multiple schools and knows so much when it comes to hair. The salon is so cute with seating and plants. Such a good vibe. You can schedule online and I recommend that because she books out a bit. Kayla and the other employees are so welcoming and understanding listening to what kind of cut you want and is always a great conversation. One day I stopped in and for a bang trim and thankfully she fit me in! I would totally recommend!! Amazing cut and experience!

I stumbled on Layer Salon randomly and now I’m so glad I started seeing Kayla! She gives me such good hair recommendations and tips, and I always walk out feeling like I got way more than just a haircut- advice on how to actually take care of and style my hair! She goes above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied with your haircut and experience. I can’t recommend her enough!

I’ve been going to Kayla for nearly seven years, and I can’t recommend her enough. She’s an exceptional stylist who listens, quickly grasps what style or cut you’re after, and delivers every time. I’ve never walked out of the studio less than pleased with the result. She also happens to be an absolutely lovely person.

I’ve been seeing Kayla for almost a decade. She’s the best. I started seeing her in Ballard when I used to live close by, and then continued coming to her after moving to West Seattle, including while the bridge was close for 2.5 years. From haircuts to color & balayage, I trust her completely to work her magic. She’s incredibly perceptive & kind, and I always look forward to seeing her.

Kayla is a great hair stylist for cut and color! Especially for color I don't trust many people but Kayla does an amazing job and always makes my hair look natural. She's so lovely to talk to and always has me walking out feeling great. Would recommend her to anyone!

Kayla is fantastic! I followed her to her new salon and will probably never get my haircut anywhere else. She has seen me through short pixie cuts to very long hair and is always so knowledgeable about what needs to be done and what will look good. Love her!
