The best hair salon on Upper East side. They do a magnificent job. Lena does my coloring and hair cut and Lazart and Alex for my son and my husband. My 4 year old son loves this salon. They always know how to make him laugh and feel good. Very cut hair cuts for kids. Definitely I will be back. Very reasonable price and very professional service. Love them all.

Saw wonderful reviews for LazArt Hair Salon, so I decided to call and book an appointment for a hair trim. Super easy was able to book the same day, the place is nice and classy. I wanted a straight trim and Alex was able to manage with my damaged dead ends since I haven’t gotten a trim in a while, hes very nice and gives you the comfort feeling to trust what he recommends when it comes to cutting your hair. Their prices are pretty fair especially when getting a trim in the city. Thank you Alex! I’ll definitely be a returning client!

Absolutely tremendous, and I strongly recommended if you haven't been. Lazar listens, knows what he's doing, and consistently does an excellent job. Also they facilitate a very friendly community vibe for both men and for women. I had tried a bunch of other places in the UES before finding them - but now feel spoiled having been his customer for years.

I had a 5:00pm appointment and I asked if I can go earlier and they said yes. They are very flexible and working professionally. The salon is really nice and clean. They are so kind and helpful.

My favorite hair salon in NYC! They are a family business and you’ll be sure to feel like you’re home here. I was given tea and homemade coffee cake while my hair dye set. On top of that they are so nice and have the best prices in the area. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I have been a longtime repeat customer because they are truly professional at what they do. I get my hair cut, blowouts and color services done by Lazar, and am always happy with my results. I also love going to Lana for getting my brows threaded perfectly every time. Overall, my absolute favorite place to go when I want to get beautified!

I was looking for an economical place for a single process coloring. I have been going to my local hair salon for the past 6 years. I was very dedicated to them. But their prices went up significantly post pandemic. And even though I felt guilty, my wallet was like “ we can’t afford this anymore “. I have red hair which can be very challenging to match the exact shade. I discovered Laz Art on Yelp and Google.I I walked in a few days ago and spoke with Alex. He is the nicest and kindest person. I had the formula that my other salon used ok me. Alex checked and he had it. And his price for a single process was literally half the price. I made an appointment and two days later, I was in Alex’s chair. He is welcoming and made me feel comfortable that the color will match. He’s so personable and he said he’s been in the neighborhood for many years. He’s wants to keep affordable prices and, most importantly, happy customers. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn’t get a blowout. But once I was home and my hair air dried, I was shock. He matched the color perfectly! In fact it was more even and seamlessly blended than what my current hairstylist ever did. Alex, I usually don’t cheat on men, but I am saying goodbye to my stylist. You got me. Thank you for a wonderful job!

I’m pretty picky about my hair, but every time Alex has worked on it I have been very pleased with the results! On top of that, it is very affordable. Definitely check it out if you are in need of a haircut!

Lazar, the owner, actually listens, and knows what he's doing. You end up with a haircut you wanted. Consistently friendly, nice atmosphere, family business, not noisy, very reasonable prices. Been seeing him for years. Highly recommended.

A colleague initially referred me to see Alex after I gave her a compliment on her hair hahaha and since then he has been cutting my hair the last 4years. I’ve moved out of the UES but will travel here twice a year for a cut. Meticulous, gentle, takes his time, listens to you. Alex is a very talented guy and I’ve never been disappointed.

I walked into this salon on its first day on First ave without any idea what could be done with my damaged hair. The results exceeded my expectations. The guys are highly professional and amazingly talented. I can recommend this place at any time.

Scheduled an appointment for 11.00am today yesterday. Stated my daughter has waistline long curly hair. Asked a few questions when scheduling and was Informed my daughter could speak to the hairstylist about her needs. We arrived on time. The tall gentleman with glasses called my daughter in and consulted with her a bit but the shorter male spoke to him then the tall male changed his tone and stated he could not blow dry my daughters hair because he has another client coming in after us.. the shorter male interjected and said it’s too much hair and would take about an hour to blow dry. unbelievable. Seems they don’t really deal with curly hair. He kept on saying I didn’t book for blow drying but it was never stated you need to state what exactly you want when booking. In fact, the person on telephone yesterday encouraged speaking to the stylist about our needs… feel there was no equal services provided. We felt so discriminated and insulted, we got up and left. We are presently at another local hair salon not so far away from Lozart and we are being treated professionally and with dignity.
