Got my hair washed! A head and neck massage, my hair cut was AMAZING. I got exactly what i was looking for. if anything it was even better. first time here and i LOVE this place. PENG was the SWEETEST. i will never get my hair cut any other place again.

First time going and I absolutely loved it. Best hair wash ever- so thorough and makes your hair feel so clean. They also massage your scalp and neck for a long time and it is very relaxing. Prices are super cheap and very reasonable compared to other salons! Got a wash, cut, and blow dry and so happy with how my hair came out.

Had an amazing experience! Walked in and service started right away. Went in for just a blow out and it was 25$ for a very thorough wash and blowout of your choice. I got a wavey blowout and loved it! They do take card but prefer cash. Will definitely be back!

I love this place. I just came because of TikTok and let me tell you it was amazing. Everyone was great, especially Joanne. She was so caring and I loved the way she took care of me. If you come to Chinatown, you have to come to this place and do your hair with Joanne.

I've been here around 3-4 times for my most recent haircuts. I think this salon went viral on social media sometime last year, so it's gotten quite busy. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and there was a long queue of customers. Good for the business! But since the space is in a basement, it felt cramped and bit chaotic with all the folks waiting inside. They accept walk-ins and have quick service - but I would recommend scheduling an appointment to minimize waiting time. The haircut experience is dependent on who's cutting the hair. My first visit, I believe Joann cut it - I showed her a reference photo and she nailed it pretty well! Next couple times I had a male stylist - gave the same photo to him and the cut was fine, but I still preferred Joann's version. This time, a different woman cut my hair (it was not Joann or Peng) but the result was lacking. Maybe my fault, I asked for a dry cut (as a person with straight hair) and forgot reference photo. But she gave me layers and did not blend layers or check to see whether it was even until I pointed it out. My hair is still somewhat uneven and the layers are choppy. It was only $20 thank goodness, because it seemed the stylist was more focused on getting through the line of customers rather than precision. Overall, there are some talented ladies at this salon, but I would visit on a less popular day. Wash/dry/cut is usually around $35 - good deal if you can get Joann or Peng !

Have gotten hair cuts by Jack and did a cherry red toner with Peng. Great cost for what you get. My hair was already bleached (blonde) when I went to Peng, so she did red color over it. Originally it turned out very purple but Peng agreed on the problem and fixed it after. No frills, aka not fancy inside and not the most friendliest but they are good people and care about if you like the work. Not the biggest fan personally of their blow outs after I get my cuts.

Came in for the first time for a wash and blowout and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. The shampoo plus scalp and back massage experience was so nice. Joann, who was extremely sweet, did a great job on the blowout. And all for $25, you can’t beat it!

Great haircut! The hair wash lasted for like 20 minutes complete with head, temple, and neck massage and then received another 5 minute back massage! The haircut/blowout looks great too. A steal for $40!

I had a wonderful experience when I went to get my hair cut, color, washed, and blow dried. The staff was very nice and they accommodated to all my needs. As a Muslim woman who wears the hijab I was able to get a secluded area to get my hair done. I appreciate their kindness. 100% recommendations!!!

One of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Peng is so nice and she gave me exactly what I asked for. She works fast but it’s quality work! The shampooers give a fantastic scalp massage as well! You literally cannot beat the price, especially for the quality of work, considering salon visits around nyc are $100+. Will most definitely be back - thank you, Peng!

Terrible experience. The hairdresser made a mess of my hair, gave up midway through the process, and then she let another hairdresser take over to fix the mistakes.

The employee were very friendly & helpful. They offered me hair wash with massage. I haven't cut my hair for 2 months, and wanted a short bob. The hair stylist understood my ask and trim down the hair in the back. They always asked if they would needed to adjust anything. The services fee is very affordable. Highly recommended.

Walked in on NYE and the place was non stop busy but they were definitely prepared and did a great job… service and prices are great just be mindful for the super thick and curly Dominican hair cause it seems like only one person (the lady in the first chair) knew how to tame it!

i asked for layers and face framing and i had Peng! she did a perfect job!! i love it soo much. and the other worker that washed my hair massaged it so well and for like 20 minutes! she kept asking if i was okay, she is so kind. when peng did my hair, she kept asking if the length is good and etc. it was $35 for wash, cut, and style + tips.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you want to get half of your hair ripped out of your head and get harassed by the hair dressers then this is the place to be. Both me and my friend went to go get blow outs. After getting our hair washed , the hair dressers told us that our hair was not able to be blown out because of our hair length (our hair is at our shoulder blades so it’s not that long). This place is a scam. Our friends with shoulder length hair got blow outs as well and their hair did not stay past 30 minutes. They pressure you to leave 20 dollar tips to each person who has touched your hair. This place is a scam and they will up charge you when your hair is “done”. I almost was burned in the face multiple times by a curling iron. They fried my hair off, broke my hair, and damaged it Pls do not go here for the well being of your hair pls do not go here. Also one of my friends scalp was bleeding because they scratched her scalp so hard and they left scratch marks on her forehead…

两周前来剪的头发但是一直太忙了所以没有写review，今天一定要来写一个～吹爆帮我剪短发的PENG萍姐姐！一开始我还有点担心剪完的效果，回去洗了头发之后发现完全没有担心的必要～自然内扣，不炸毛hhh 总之吹爆PENG萍姐姐！ I visited this salon two weeks ago and had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from PENG. I must say, the service was excellent, and the results exceeded my expectations. I’m extremely satisfied with the outcome and would highly recommend PENG to anyone looking for a great haircut. 인스타에 떠서 괜찮아보이길래 Hair cut, shampoo, blowout했다. 평일 당일아침에 전화로 예약했는데 spot이 있었다. Walk-in으로 많이 들어오는것 보면 예약 굳이 안해도 됬었을듯. 가게는 협소하고 hygiene은 음.. 일단 뭐가 많이 어지럽긴 하다. 총 40-50분 걸렸고 모든 분들은 다 친절했다. 대신 나를 맡아준 헤어스타일리스트 (남자분)은 소통이 잘 안되서 옆의 분 통해서 얘기했다. 다른 분 보니까 지목해서 하시던데 나도 또 온다면 그렇게 할듯 (경험 많아 보이시는 여자분) 팁 합해서 50불도 안되기 때문에 (팁 미포함 $35)애초에 기대는 안했고 원했던 머리 (일자 컷과 side bang)랑은 조금 다르게 나왔지만 엇비슷하게 나온거에 만족한다. 근데 얼굴에 잘린 머리카락 많이 붙었는데 나오서 깨달았다.. 샴푸할 때 마사지해주셨는데 (예약한 주된 이유) 너무너무 좋았다!! 절대 일어나고싶지 않았다. 다른 곳에서 받아봤을때 머리 자르는 곳에서 샴푸해서 당황했는데 머리 씻는 코너에 마사지 받아서 여기가 훨씬 나은 것 같다 (가게가 더 작아서 그런지 덜 부산스럽다) 다음에도 마사지?받으러 올듯.

I’ve been coming here for years! I’m a colorist and I send all my clients here for blowouts - they last a week. Everyone’s so sweet and they always will fit you in no matter how busy they are. I cannot tell you how many clients and friends I have sent here for a beautiful blowout . They also do a great job cutting hair I’ve seen so many people leave with gorgeous cuts as well. Highly recommend everyone here!

This place is amazing. I don’t have enough good things to say. I always go to Peng for my cuts and she’s so sweet and really listens to what you want. They are also very affordable, only around $35 for a cut wash and blowdry pre tip and tax.
