Hi! This is a LEGIT review, 100% honest. I have been doing my hair with Ms Castillo for 17 years now (yes, she started her craft at pretty young age and has a lot of experience by now). You can’t improvise experience! When I started doing my hair with her, my hair was pretty damaged, frizzy, unruly, and with a “carrot” color that I did not like at all! The undertone of my hair is Orange/Gold, meaning that no matter what color I die my hair, it will always try to go to Orange tones over time (she explained that to me - she not only takes care of your hair, she educates you as well!). Mariela corrected my color completely! And found the perfect shade for me! I used the color for years! It was amazing! It was just perfect! We also did some Botox and Keratin over the years. I tried other colorist before, other Keratin and products and my hair really suffered the consequences (not all Keratins are good quality). Your hair is very important because it is the frame of your face and makes a huge difference on how you look. After many years of living in Miami, I moved to Michigan and traveled occasionally to Orlando. I tried different stylist and it was a fiasco! They destroyed my hair again. I was devastated after all the work I put into my hair to keep it healthy and looking amazing. Long story short, I decided to not let anybody else touch my hair. I don’t trust any colorist that is not her. I used to travel from Michigan to do my color retouch and my Keratin with her. Now that I live in Orlando, I coordinate with her for when she needs to go to Miami to do my hair needs. She’s hands down the best colorist ever! I waited 2 years until I saw her to die my hair again! My hair was virgin again! I just didn’t let anybody touch my hair! Also, the products she uses are top notch! Her Keratine and hair products are incredibly good! I could truly tell the difference after exposure to other salons. When she does Keratin to me, I (remember that every hair is different) can go a full year without needing the treatment. I will provide some pictures of my last visit, but I want to do it slightly different. Everyone looks amazing after a professional blowout, right? But how about when you are home and have to do your own hair? I am a mom of TWO young, energetic, and high demand children (1 and 4 y/o), I am also a wife, and I have no help with anything at all. I don’t have time to do my hair myself, I am always busy! In my last visit, I asked Mariela for the color that I was used to but she explained to me what these course of action was to get that color back while keeping a healthy hair / which is very important. She has such a strong work ethic. She wouldn’t do something that would damage your hair. If that’s what you’re looking for and it’s not convenient for your hair, she would talk you out of it by educating you and creating a plan to get you there without destroying your hair. We decided to do some lights, a lighter color and Keratin to tame it (remember my hair was completely virgin / dark brown and unruly - a lioness with a mane if you would 😂). So, in this picture, it was my second time doing my hair at home. I let my hair dry naturally and the next day I flat ironed. It was beautiful! I’m so grateful! Saved a lot of time and looked amazing- just what I needed! I also took my son to her because at the barbershop they cut his hair beyond terrible. She has the magic touch! She did what she could because his cut at the barbershop was too recent … and ohhh boy! She fixed it and it truly look like it was supposed to in the fist place. I’m letting his hair grow so she can completely work her magic on him with cut. She also recommended some products that have worked amazingly for my kids and myself. I have so much more to say about her as a professional and as a person- Don’t get me started because it would be the longest review on Internet! She is simply THE VERY BEST and as one of her oldest clients (17 years and counting), I can’t recommend it enough!

Mariela la mejor del planeta mundial. Desde el primer dia que toco mi cabello me di cuenta del talento que tiene y lo hermosa persona que es. Las horas se van volando con ella, no te das cuenta porque ella hace que el ambiente sea llevadero. No te va hacer algo que te vaya a perjudicar la salud de tu cabello y siempre tiene buenos tips para el cuidado. Me ha tocado ir a diferentes estilistas por cuestion de la distancia. Me encanta arreglarme con Mariela porque no tan solo hace excelente trabajo pero el hecho de que ella trabaje desde casa lo hace mas conveniente para personas que trabajan y tienen un horario complicado. Sin exageración, ella marcó un precedente en la forma que me gusta que me estilicen el pelo. Me gusta el volumen y desde que me arregle con ella la primera vez, siempre me aseguro de pedir que me lo estilicen de la forma en que ella lo hizo. Ella tiene muy buena energía, es una bella persona y tiene mucha atención al más mínimo detalle, es alguien que se nota que ama su trabajo y le pone empeño 🫶🏽
