Around 5 months ago, I went to another nearby salon and asked for some layers so that it would grow out nicely in time for my wedding. I kid you not, I ended up leaving looking like a pine tree because he started my layers at my forehead, giving me bangs (which I did not ask for), all the way down to my ends. To say after a few months of letting this haircut get its fair chance, it just was so growing out so ugly. Nika understands hair, and even Asian hair which a lot of stylists don't. No matter how good of a stylist you are, if you don't deal with Asian clientele, you just won't know. She took one look at my hair and said what did they do to you? She fixed my haircut, gave me long layers like what I had originally asked for. I feel confident in time for my wedding with only 4 weeks to go! I'll be back! Also, Nika not only is a master hair stylist, but her sense of fashion is on point.

I found L'Envie by chance as I was looking for a cut near my apartment on short notice. I have now been back several times and really like it. The cuts are great and consistent and the salon is well run, on time, etc High recommend!

Excellent boutique salon at Lex Ave. I was looking for a salon with skilled staff at a convenient location. Read very good reviews of this salon and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a fabulous experience. They responded promptly to my phone call and I was able to book an appointment via messaging. Nicole was my stylist. She listened to me carefully and did a great job! I will be back soon.

I traveled from Atlanta to NYC to have a small intimate wedding and Nika made me feel and look absolutely stunning - my make up lasted all night and I received so many compliments on my hair! Highly recommend 💖

I’ve been to L’envie a few times now and have never left disappointed. Today I got a hair Botox treatment to strengthen my damaged hair and it looks absolutely amazing - Nika and her team is great, very accommodating, clean facility, and know exactly what will look good. Also got my hair colored here. Would recommend to anyone!

My 2nd time going there and I’m on a cloud 9! I was very nervous to cut my long hair short by after consulting with Iryna I felt more confident. She gave me some insights on my hair and an overall idea how the hair cut will look. And it came out perfect!! My hair grows fast, so I was back 1,5 later for another haircut with her. She is very skilled and you can see it right away. So thrilled about my new haircut! Everyone gives me complaints :) The salon is very nice as well. The owner Nika keeps it in a good condition. They also provide coffee and tea upon request.

My wife just had back surgery and needed her hair washed.. We called last minute and they were able to get her in for a hair wash and blow dry. 3 staff members help because of her limited mobility due to the surgery. The staff is an A+..

Nika and her team are top of the line hair stylists. This is not a regular walk-in barbershop, but a high class boutique. Results are consistently great. Online booking is easy. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Not a pleasant experience at all. The owner refused to give me the haircut I wanted - a simple trim. Did not give me a blow dry that I had a scheduled for saying it wasn’t mentioned, half drying my hair so I couldn’t tell how it looked and didn’t seem like I had a cut at all. Later realized my hair was completely uneven and long from the front. When I called back for a fix was given a hard time and told to come in. When I did she was upset, refused to fix it saying that’s how it is, touched my hair with her hair colored hands that she was applying on someone for me to cringe. Finally when I refused to leave till it was fixed she did quickly running her scissors through. Never had to struggle so much to get a simple trim and pay to feel my hair look terrible. Do not recommend at all unless I was one of the few getting picked.

After many attempts to get balayage in salons near Springfield, NJ I made an appointment with Hadi at L’Envie salon Midtown Manhattan. I was not happy with my hair which is on the finer side and had a brassy tone despite 2 balayage attempts. Hadi changed all that! She and Nika worked together to come up with a treatment plan -Botox for Hair , and a best coloring strategy. In only 2 hours I had a silver balayage I was dreaming of! Salon is lovely with nice lighting and decor. Appointment was easy to make and Hadi didn’t give me any trouble for being 15 minutes late for my appointment. Nika, the owner is easy to talk to and ensures world class mastery is what sets her salon apart.

I found this place on google maps when no other place had availaibilty. Not only were they more than happy to take me last minute as they were closing, but they also gave me the best haircut I've ever received. It is a very comfortable and welcoming environment. My girlfriend was with me and was happy to sit and chat with the other hairstylists while she waited (and usually she is very impatient). I have lived in the city for 17 years and have been almost everywhere. I have never stuck to the same place. I would recomend this place for anyone and will personaly only be using them from now on.

I love coming to L’Envie. The place is clean, beautiful and inviting. The service is always amazing and most importantly I am always happy with my hair. I typically do everything from hair cut to hair color to highlights and I have never been disappointed. I love my hair. I also wanted something where I didn’t have to constantly do highlights and have to pay so much to upkeep every few weeks. Nica, the owner, figured out a way and I love my hair. I highly recommend this salon to anyone!

I’ve always had bad experiences with hair salons, so i was a little nervous. but my hair was bleached blonde before and my roots were growing out bad. i wanted to go back normal with some highlights if that was even possible. and omg they did an AMAZING job. i love my hair now. and it’s going to grow out so nicely. i highly recommend, a plus that they are all so sweet.

LOVE EMIR! I went to L`envie for the first time today after finding Emir on Instagram and looking at his work. I wanted someone who cuts precisely and pays great attention to what they are doing and he did exactly that! He gave me exactly what I wanted and took his time with my hair (which most stylists in the past never did) and it came out fabulous. If you're looking for someone to cut your hair the EXACT same way you want it, he is the one to go to! Trust me... I've had a lot of bad hair stylists, so this one is a gift from God. Also, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely going here for my hair needs from now on! ♥️

Nika is an absolute MASTER at her craft. I've been to many hair stylists over the years, and she is by far the person who cares most about her customers, has a real passion for her art, and she is just an incredibly pleasant person to chat with. I got a really awful haircut in Miami a few months ago, and Nika worked a miracle and not only fixed it but somehow made it look 100 times better that I hoped for. The best thing about this salon is the people. They listen, they care, and they do high-quality work. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

Omg. Can't believe this salon was right by my hotel. They were amazing. The sudden warm weather and peloton classes were making my hair limp. So I needed a pick me up. I generally like deep conditioning for my hair. I have frizzy Indian hair which is thick and curly. No matter how much I shampooed, my hair was losing lusture and smoothness. I called them in the morning and got an appointment for the evening. I had a speech soon after that so it was so great to get an appointment on time. The salon is small. But the staff is just amazing. They are so welcoming that I didn't feel I went there for the first time. We talked so much I felt I have known them for years. No one has given me such an amazing blow for couple of years now. I'm from Connecticut and feel bad that they are not near Hartford :( but now I know where to go to when I'm in New York. It's very near grand central. At the end my hair is so smooth and the blow dry was so amazing , my boy friend thought I had a hair cut :) So it was indeed a very good find. If you are in New York definitely try them.

Review I scoured different sites for hair salons in the city; this salon constantly came up with positive reviews. And, I am here to add yet another to their long list of adoring followers. (I also don’t write many reviews, but I was so pleased with their work that I knew I had to.) Both women working there worked together to find the perfect color combination to fix my blonde hair; they spent hours meticulously brushing on highlights and using toner to get the perfect combination. They consulted me throughout the process but were also experienced enough to guide me through the decisions. They took no shortcuts-working extremely hard and giving me the exact look I hoped for-bayalage. Additionally, they trimmed my hair, noticing that the stylist before (from another salon) had cut it unevenly; the trim alone did wonders-and the haircut immediately made my hair lay better. Months later, my hair STILL looks great-the bayalage is growing out perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend coming here-the team is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and collaborative. Love it here.

Service is awful. Nika is not a professional stylist. After her work I have extremely damaged and poor looking hair. If you don’t care about yours hairs health than visit her Do not recommend NEVER AGAIN I regret so so million times so much

The color I asked vs color I got. Also Nika said it would cost 270 but she charged me 350 on top I expressed myself it wasn’t color I wanted. Wouldn’t recommend the place.

Nika at L’Envie did a fantastic job on my dark brown turning gray hair. It is now a lovely soft blonde and I love it! I look so much better. Great scalp massage too. Highly recommend!
