I had such hope when I booked my appointment!! Crushing disappointment. I took a very clear picture of the style and color I wanted. My hair ended up a yellowish gray with maroon roots and she didn’t bother to cut my hair at all. $120. I asked for a refund, with no response. Makayla was the stylist

So I'm 53 and fewer than 20 people have ever cut my hair it's really a difficult thing for me to allow someone I don't know to touch my head and hair. Also at least up until this year when my self-reception started to get better, sitting in front of a mirror for that length of time was difficult. A good friend recommended Brian Manley, and his friendly hilarious chatter and efficient knowledgeable and experienced scissor scales made quick work of the hot mess that was my hair, and quite affordably at that. I left with a smile and will be back.

I just had my first hair appointment with Sarah and I couldn’t be more pleased. Sarah is warm, professional, and really knows her craft. She listened as I explained what I wanted and then she patiently explained the options. She colored my roots and expertly addressed the unflattering results of my box dye experiments. I’m also especially appreciative of her skills regarding curly hair!

I come here about 2-3 times a year for the last maybe 10 years. In the past year or two I’ve been going to Madeline for hair cuts and she’s absolutely wonderful! I have curly hair (between 2b-3a hair) and it’s very thick. Every time she gives me a great quality hair cut! I come in and describe what I want, bring a few pictures and we reassess along the way. I’ve tried a few other salons in the area just to shop around, Madeline gives me a better haircut consistently than “high-end” salons that charge 100+.

I have been going to Madeleine for a few years now and have never left unhappy. She is absolutely amazing! Madeleine is very professional and knowledgeable about what she is doing. I saw Madeline to color correct & freshen up my extremely nasty home made attempt at cute hair. She made me feel really relaxed and explained what she was doing through our appointment. She also did an absolutely amazing job working with the rats nest I handed her. Definitely coming back!!!

I've spent most of my life not proud of my hair and/or just not really caring about it at all. That has all changed since I've started going to Leon's. Madeleine is the absolute best hair stylist in the south-eastern US of A! Every appointment leaves me happier than the previous. I've never felt more confident about my hair in my life! She's trustworthy, honest, and an absolute hoot! I find myself looking forward to my appointments with her every other month and end up having an absolute blast! Since Madeleine has been doing my hair, I get complimented on it more than I ever have in my life! I highly recommend Madeleine and will probably never get my hair cut/dyed by anyone else.

If you've ever had a haircut you know how important they are. A great cut or color can drastically boost your confidence, a poor one can ruin it. A great stylist is a dream come true, a bad one is a nightmare. I've lived in Greensboro for 15 years and that's how long I've been coming to Leon's. My first stylist, Adam, and I worked together for years before he passed away. He was so encouraging and made me feel like I could take risks and pull off certain styles I never would have tried. We had a lot in common and the "chair talk" was comfortable and easy. I wasn't sure who could replace him but I knew I would find them at Leon's. After trying out a few others, like Goldilocks, I found Madeleine. I am notoriously indecisive and she's always been patient with me, making helpful suggestions and making conservative cuts until I feel comfortable with the length and shape. She's very easygoing and easy to talk to, so the "chair talk" is once again comfortable and easy. During the height of the pandemic I went quite a while without a cut. My first time back we cut over 6" and I felt like a new person. The layers and length were perfect. It dramatically improved my self image and mood after so long in seclusion. (On a side note: I have also been very impressed with Leon's COVID protocols including face coverings, fewer chairs and overlapping appointments, disinfecting pens and surfaces between clients, etc.) My wife has gone to Barry for over 10 years as well, so we are both huge fans. I'm gearing up to do some dramatic color in the near future and I'm excited to see what Madeleine will create with me. I trust her, and that's huge in any relationship. You can walk into Great Clips and get a "haircut" in any random chair. When I sit in Madeleine's chair I feel safe to speak up and explore, whether I have just a shape-up or a more transformative experience. I know what to expect: patience, skill, and flair.

Madeleine left my hair wet, not very good quality. And she left my hair very purple. and she left yellow parts on top, I think she doesn't know how to paint hair... I honestly do not leave my hair the way I wanted it, I am not happy with madeleine's work, I think that if she knew that I would not reach the color I wanted, the best thing was to say I cannot do it, she was not honest and too expensive. my hair looks absolutely nothing like the photo that shows her how I wanted my hair color. I said I didn't like it, and she didn't bother to say I can fix it. I am very disappointed and very sad.

They do a great job! I have very thin, frizzy, and curly hair. It's hard to manage. They cut and styled my hair great, while also working quickly. I was so engrossed in conversation that I couldn't believe she was already finished. They are also taking distancing precautions and wearing face masks.
