I enjoyed every minute being at this salon! Friendly welcome, offered coffee or water, the wait was not long at all, my stylist was amazing and did not pressure me to buy products. I was happy that they carry Aveda products. I did purchase a product I had been out of and a new one to try also. The location was good, the building itself is a historical charm. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful spa in Reno away from the casinos. I like that the services take place in private rooms upstairs away from any noise. Very relaxing. I had a 90 min facial with Rachelle that was thorough but very relaxing. My skin was totally renewed and neck and shoulders relaxed from mini massages.. I am looking forward to returning.

I haven’t been to a salon for years. Luie made my first experience back absolutely amazing! My hair couldn’t have came out better. Highly recommend!!!

Greta has been doing my hair & my adult kids’ hair for 1-2 years & she is SO professional, knowledgeable & easy going “go with the flow” person. The staff is ALL nice, friendly & very clean house/establishment, highly recommended. Prices are competitive & 💯 fair. The “Aveda” experience is awesome 🤩

I booked a keratin treatment and hair cut. I have been getting blow outs for many years and have had great success with it being straight, smooth and silky. THIS was not. My hair was still curly and frizzy and the cut had to be redone because the cut had very hard / blunt edges. The redo on the cut was wonderful but the manager said the Keratin treatment worked. My curly frizzy hair says otherwise. They were not willing to redo my hair (I wasn't asking for a refund of the VERY expensive treatment) . I would not recommend this salon.

I went to Emily on Saturday, 9/7/24. I had spoken to her previously and sent her my inspo pictures. She said it was definitely doable but was clear that she may not be able to get me EXACTLY to the inspo, but she would do her best. She spent a soliddddd 6 hours with me doing highlights and extensions. She was very diligent and was very detailed. We chatted and laughed the whole appointment. She is genuinely the sweetest person! I am obsessed with my hair, I think it turned out better than the inspo pic. Highly highly recommend Emily!!

Went to this salon for a couple years, did not like the color I got and expressed that, instead of having an adult conversation, I was told “I’m not a good fit for you” from Emily. I am super upset over the customer service. I tipped for the 6 hours to not get to the desired color. She didn’t style my hair. Did not time how long the appointment was going to be so her assistant came over and brushed my hair, and blew it out. The picture was a super bright blonde with a small amount of roots showing, my hair is more ombré than anything. Apparently expressing your feelings is a no go, also why is an elderly woman working the front desk? She does not know how to use the POS system and double charged me. I gave my time and energy and had patience but trust me they are not worth your time.

We had such a great experience with everyone that did our hair and makeup for my wedding! We had 4 people in my wedding party that got their hair and makeup done and the customer service was great as well as everyone loved their hair and makeup!

The salon was in a very cute old manor type home with lots of natural light. I came in with previous box-brown colored hair and Abby managed to get me to a full blonde. It was a long process but she took good care of me and let me drink my white claw 😅. I will be back!

Terrible customer service to repeat customers. My family and I have been going to this salon for the last 5 years. Called to reschedule my haircut appointment and they charged my card for rescheduling. Explain to them I been working around my hair stylist schedule. The manager refused to listen and said your card has been charged, call us back if you want to schedule another appointment.

The entire staff at L’essence is incredible! Such a welcoming and awesome environment. Kelsey did a full highlight today with a cut and I am absolutely floored with the results! She took the time to make sure we were on the same page and she really listened to what I was looking for :) She took me from my drab natural to a beautiful, healthy, and bright blonde! Safe to say I found my new salon in town (and it’s adorable with all the good vibes) They also focus on using all natural products which I absolutely love. If you’re looking for a blonde specialist Kelsey is your girl. I’m now ready for summer! Thank you so much, Kelsey and all the amazing ladies at L’ essence!! 🩷 20/10 would recommend ☺️

At L'essence Day Spa and Salon, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the place itself was adorable and bright. I'm a bit apprehensive about haircuts after experiences where the final result was nothing like what I've asked for—often ending up way shorter and different than I preferred. But my appointment with Kimberly Lawrence was amazing! She was not only kind and and easy to talk to but took genuine care to understand precisely what I was aiming for, asking follow up questions to make sure we were on the same page. I left loving my hair and will definitely be going back to her for my next hair appointment. I can't recommend her enough!

The salon is beautiful and comfortable. The receptionist was friendly, welcoming and helpful. My stylist, Amber, was exceptional. She listened and provided input regarding what would be best for my hair. Amber's confidence and professionalism put me at ease, while her friendly nature made my time with her very enjoyable. Overall, the best experience I have had at a salon. I will absolutely be back and will not hesitate to refer friends and family.
