This was my first experience at a dominican hair salon and it was great. The salon was clean, inviting and the hair stylists were friendly. They really listen to you when it comes to how you care for your hair and give good hair care suggestions. I loved my hair and my curls reverted back to its normal natural state after a wash. 10/10 recommend!

What a great experience I had at Licet! I haven't been to a hair salon in so long, and I decided to treat myself. I had my hair washed with a blowout, and I am loving it! It's been 10 years but now that I've gone to Licet, I'll definitely come more often. She was very sweet and her staff were very welcoming. If you haven't gone yet. I highly recommend you get your hair done by Licet. I'll be back 😊

Amazing experience from start to finish. This was my second visit and I've been so pleased each time. I have very long afro-mixed hair (3b/c) and they style it with ease. My curls bounce back effortlessly on the first wash after. Licet and her team are extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I just call ahead to see how busy they are and they always take me back right away. No crazy 4-5+ hrs just getting a style done, I'm in and out within 2hrs. I've had so many terrible salon experiences as a Black woman, coming here is a breath of fresh air!

I visited this salon based off a Tik Tok video and I am new to the area so I was looking to find a new salon home. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I would definitely come back, i’m very happy with my hair. The stylists worked quickly, salon was clean and they even offered coffee or water. Great experience!

I decided on a whim this morning to get my hair done. I called the salon and Licet very graciously took me as a walk-in. From the young lady who washed and conditioned my hair to the final result I was completely satisfied. Thank you Licet! My hair feels, smells and looks amazing!

I recently posted a review concerning heat damaged hair that occurred at this salon. For some reason, I felt that the owner would have it removed, and sure enough, she did. It makes me feel like people are silenced for being honest in order to protect one's image; however, pictures do not lie, and for that reason, I will upload them here. I was unable to upload them separately and had to combine them into a single picture showing the left and right side of the hair. The pictures show straight strands and destroyed curl pattern and definition after the salon visit when the hair was washed again. It is always good to take pictures as evidence. The natural state of the hair was completely curly, but after the heat damage occurred at this salon, you can see that the hair looks limp, weak and fragile. The ends are also very thin. It is so sad that people would go to the extent of having a review removed based on a real life experience rather than taking accountability. Incredible! Here are the pictures. I went to Licet Salon recently for a blowout service on Aug 6th. I saw positive reviews and felt safe. After my hair was shampooed, what I thought was conditioner was applied before I was put under the dryer. 3 weeks and many many shampoos later, my 4c hair is damaged. I now have straight strands, and a coarse 3c/4a texture all over my head. My hair is falling out in clumps (not regular shedding) and my scalp is tingly. This is 100% not heat damage, something was put in my hair because when it’s wet I can smell it. I never write negative reviews, but I had to write this one as a warning for people with natural hair / type 4 hair to be aware. This is beyond unfair and heartbreaking. Adding any product that isn’t shampoo/conditioner that is capable of changing the structure of anyone’s hair without mentioning it should be illegal. I big chopped a year ago and now I have to big chop all this damaged hair again. Pictures say it all. I contemplated on going back to the salon to see if they can mitigate the damage at least, but how can you trust the same place that damaged your hair the first time? I know for sure I can’t. So painful lesson learned. Update in response to owner’s reply below: I 100% stand on my word so I will NOT be removing or editing my review. Interestingly, I never mentioned “chemicals” in my review above. Everything I stated is factual. One of the products (either in the shampoo/conditioner or something else) that was added to my hair changed the structure of my hair. The current state of my hair is proof of this - my hair still smells when I wet it (like sulphur), I have STRAIGHT strands all over my hair, my curl pattern has changed and my scalp still tingles a little. Again, I never leave negative reviews even if my experience is not great. However, the damage done to my hair after one visit to this salon prompted me to do this. So please go ahead to contact your attorney to sue me like you’ve said. I am very ready to back up everything I have said. I stand by everything 100%. Thank you.

I absolutely love Licet and her entire staff. She has been my stylist for almost ten years, and I would never go to anyone else. Now that my daughter is older, she too is Licet’s client. I recommended her to all my friends and family members, and now they are lifelong clients. Don’t trust anyone else with your hair! This is the best Dominican salon around!

I have been coming to Licet for over 6 years! She has always been caring, consistent, and knowledgeable! I have kinky curly hair and started with ear length hair. I have problematic areas in my hair in the back and Licet has provided me with products that with consistent use have grown my hair to shoulder length! Licet is always looking for ways to improve her salon by providing quality products, additional services, and hair care education! I will travel wherever Licet goes!!! Ps. The ladies that wash your hair will have you in scalp heaven! They do an AMAZING job and I would recommend them to anyone!!

I went here for the first time a few months ago with my two small children. My sitter canceled on me last minute but no worries she was soooo nice & understanding! MY HAIR: PERFECT!!!! The women in her shop are sweet too. They take their time with your hair. Every single inch of my hair was attended to. She doesn’t burn your hair either btw, which is a concern for many of us. The shop is very clean and airy. Not too busy the day I went, loved that also! I had to write a review because I enjoyed being there so much.

What a great place to have a hair cut!!! The hair stylists are wonderful to say the least. They are kind & caring & know how to do the job right. Will come back again & again & tell my friends too. They are reasonably priced as well. So you will not be a loser to give it a try.

I had a wash and set done with low heat blow dry soft curl done after. They did exactly how I asked, even when I have changed my mind a few times. Their service was excellent! The place is nice and clean, renovated and spacious. The price was very reasonable as well! I'm definitely satisfied and will come back for sure! Thank you google. For helping me discover this place !

After spending weeks looking for a dominican salon to get my keratin treatment done in Maryland I finally found Licet. She did an amazing job making me feel cared for and leaving my hair soft and manageable. Would absolutely recommend coming here and drinking some coffee while getting your hair done!

I’m so happy that I found this gem! Nice set up very clean and welcoming environment. I haven’t been to a salon in 5 years and this was the best experience from the hair wash to the styling chair, loved how healthy my hair looked and felt so soft. I definitely recommend!

Licet is the only hairstylist that I go to for my blow outs/wash and sets. She really cares about her clients and takes her time. The women who shampoo your hair are great too, especially Pamela. I haven't colored my hair in a while but Licet has always done my color as well. You will not be disappointed! 😊

This salon is phenomenal!!! It’s very clean, beautiful, and inviting! My mom and I visited this salon and we were very pleased and happy with our hair. Licet is a lovely person and she has Golden Hands! She is very gentle and does an excellent job. Alicia does a fantastic job too and they make you feel very at home and comfortable! Even though there was some confusion over the pricing, Licet was very professional and handled the situation well. I would definitely recommend this salon and I’ll be back again!! Thank you!!

I’ve been going to Licet for about 6 months and I love going to her because she’s talented, kind and just nice and her staff are too. Her salon is huge and always clean. My hair always looks lovely and is healthy. If you’re looking to have a Dominican blowout, Licet is a must try!!!
