Marisa is a miracle! She fixed my hack job haircut that I received the week before - I wish I went to her first before experiencing horrible hair stylists. She is truly caring, listens to your needs and repeats back. You can tell that she's skillful and technical, not all "sizzle without the steak." It's so refreshing to find an OG hairstylist, and bonus that we got along SO well. Thank you Marisa 💕

Roy is the last of the true scissor over comb magicians. He is extremely proficient and detail oriented. I have not found a better stylist for myself or my family than Roy. Very nice people, cute dogs, great location. Parking can be challenging but it's worth it. Beverly Hills quality with Culver city value. But yes it's in Mar Vista

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair cut at Lighten Up Hair & Beauty. After months and months of not having anything done to my hair due to Covid, this was just the experience that I needed. Amanda was so warm and welcoming and made me feel like a long time friend. She did EXACTLY what I wanted with my hair and met all of the requests that I made in terms of cut and style. The salon was super clean and safe. With only one other customer and hair dresser in the salon at the same time as us social distancing was never an issue. I'm so happy I found this salon and look forward to my next cut with Amanda.

I have been to this salon twice. The first time was for my own hair cut. Marissa was amazing! The second time I had my 8 year old daughter hair cut by Beth. Beth was also fantastic. About a month after my daughters cut, I ran into Beth at the grocery store and she remembered both my name and my daughter's name only after meeting us once before. I highly recommend this salon. Everyone is so kind and really appreciative of your business. Definitely will continue to visit this salon!

Marisa is a miracle worker! Not only is she one of the nicest human being you will ever meet, she is the most talented hair dresser I’ve ever had work with my difficult hair. I have curly, fine, massive amounts of hair and Marisa can tame my frizz. She recently fixed a highlighting disaster to perfection. Marisa’s hair cuts, highlighting and blowouts are perfection!!! I have been going to her for almost three years. Bonus, the hair salon has the nicest vibe, you feel like family the minute you walk in the door. I also recommend Diane and Beth...everyone is amazing!

The ambience is chill and the hairstylist's are all amazing. i see Dianne Zarate and she is wonderful with my hair and one of the best humans I know. I highly recommend this company. A welcoming and friendly environment.
