I got my haircut here twice and the first time was a wonderful experience. Perfect haircut. The second time i had shown reference pictures for some layers and bangs. She thinned out my hair a bunch and gave me more of a wolf cut which is not what I wanted. I wasn’t in love with it and thought i’d just adjust to it but it was just not working so I asked if she could fix it and she tried which I appreciate. She also told me maybe the cut didn’t come out the way I hoped because I didnt mention I don’t use products in my hair. That was one of the first things I mentioned to her when I got it cut.This is the first time a haircut has truely made me sad to look in the mirror everyday. it’s been almost 2 months and I have yet to like it and have had people say it looks kinda like a mullet which is not what I wanted at all. I’m also just sad that my hair was thinned out so much, i’ve never had to have it thinned out when wanting layers and now I just have to wait for it to grow out unfortunately. Just wanted to share my experience, lilybeth is a talented hairstylist I’m just not sure what happened when it came to this situation. Attached are my reference photos and then my haircut

Lilybeth was an extremely thoughtful, precise, and considerate hair stylist. For some context that I hope can be helpful to others, I’m an asian woman who had a traumatic experience with a previous professional hair stylist I went to. That experience left me cutting and dying my own hair for 7+ years out of fear of being discriminated and feeling like that again. I had wished I was one of those girls who got their hair done regularly, who wasn’t scared of such a normal irrational thing. And after years of admiring from afar, I finally got the courage and confidence to try again. Regardless if I would get a busy/indifferent stylist or not, I just wanted to overcome that old fear and replace it with any kind of okayish experience. So I was surprised in the best way from my hair cutting appt with Lilybeth! She genuinely wanted to make my vision happen, and patiently listened to what I wanted/didn’t want during my consultation. I didn’t feel rushed or even slightly nervous. She’s a genuine soul who wants the best for her clients and makes sure you’ll feel comfortable and heard. That safe/no judgement zone really made it feel so easy for me to be chat and be honest about an adjustment I wanted, and the more she cut, the more I fell in love with my hair! I actually loved her face framing layer technique so much that I wanted to change up my initial plans, but she actually gently reminded me that decision would make me unable to style it how I normally wore my hair (which I immediately was so thankful for when I got home lol!!). She remembered exactly what I said during the consultation and knew I would probably end up regretting that sudden change (which she was so so right about lol). I love my hairstyle, and more than that, I really love how it feels! The confidence boost she gave me is something no amount of money can buy, it’s really just luck and good fortune that I happened to come across her tiktok page and saw her other woc clients ❤️ Her space is stunning, very comfortable and relaxing (I was there for 3 hrs), and bright (the natural light let me see how my hair would really look vs being under harsh artificial lights/shadows at a salon). Lol it’s super specific, but she didn’t get water on my face at all while washing my hair lol. It’s so interesting how getting your hair cut can change up your self image and improve your self confidence. I’m so happy and touched by this experience, and can’t wait to style my hair now. I have gotten 2 haircuts from Lilybeth and I am always satisfied with the results. She does a great job with consulting, cutting, and styling. I always feel confident and happy with my new hairstyles.

I loved coming to get my hair cut by Lilybeth, her studio is super cute and smelled great! I’ve had trouble finding someone who knows how to cut my short hair but she did exactly what I wanted. She inquires about your vision and knows what she’s doing! Love it <3
