First time ever visiting this shop. Valeka does not like to answer calls or emails. Had to reschedule twice. The ends of my locs did not come out right. Extension loc came out the next day. I took a picture of it showed the owner/mother and Valeka. Please refund me so i can go somewhere else. No response

I went to their stylist Valeka and her work is good but the downfall is you will be there for HOURS. Schedule a appointment at 1pm just plan on leaving there earliest 9pm. She schedules people at the same time and just have clients waiting. She don’t care about your time and will even eat while doing hair. Not convenient at all. Won’t go back.

Miss. Empress is the best!! My first experience with her is 5 star! I Google "loctician near me" , as I am big on ratings and reviews. I completed my search when I noticed her rating, which was at the time of my search 4.9...I was like wow! So I begin to read the reviews. A lot of customers were speaking on the "wash" which was an AMAZING experience!! My scalp felt so good afterwards it felt clean and refreshed!! Some reviews I read, was speaking on her hospitality! An A+Miss Empress treated me like family! Lastly, she took time with my hair during the retwist... another loctician doubled my locs, Miss Empress took her time to separate them and retwist my locs...I can say now that my hair, my locs are off to a good start! Let the growing begin!!! Highly recommend The Lioness Den

She set my appointment, and then didn't show up. It took me forever to even get an answer from her after days of calling. She finally answers to set my appointment for me to show up to an empty shop. I had to go to Da Notty Roots to get my hair done last minute and thank goodness they could take me cause I had something job related to do that morning. This was before COVID before you try that reply 😊

The Lioness Den is the place to be for all retwists starter loc styles! A black owned mother and daughter buisness put the comfort in Den. It was clean and very well organized for the amount of clients they bring in. The price is equal to the experience and more. I will most def be back for my next retwist!❤️

Valeka Jones is the best! She told me she treats her clients like her own children and she made good on that promise! She washed my hair super good, and told me what shampoos and oils work best for me. She even gave me a skin care routine. She has great communication and she is very kind and affordable. I love the way my hair turned out. 10/10 experience, I will definitely return.

First I would like to say Empress is the sweetest ever! I heard about her through a coworker and decided to check her out to do my starter locs and I have to say she has a very warm funny and inviting personality she makes you feel right at home and her work is awesome and she makes you feel confident in your style, she is also very professional. If you want to start locs, get a retwist or whatever she’s your girl❤️ I will return

I had my first appointment with Empress yesterday and I must say I was impressed. Just as the other reviews said her wash of my locs was amazing! I truly felt a difference. She took the time to explain everything she was going to do and all of the products she was using on my hair. I was feeling a little discouraged about my locs, but she helped turn that around for me with her energy. I will be returning! 😁
