Alison tames my curly/wavy dude hair better than any other stylist I’ve ever visited. 10/10! Also the pricing is very fair, especially compared to other salons in the city

I got my hair cut by Marisol today and the experience was fantastic! It was my first real curly cut and no one else had cut my hair in a way that I liked that accentuated my curls/waves. Marisol listened and asked questions in our consultation, then gave me a fantastic cut/wash/style/touch up that was exactly catered to what I was looking for. She also left length and didn’t pressure me to take off more, and my hair has never looked so healthy and my curls accentuated! Plus she was so fun to chat with! Awesome experience, absolutely will come back! (and much sooner than a year like my last cut 😂)

Been coming here once every 12-18months for a hair cut for around 5yrs now and absolutely love it!! Great vibes and great people. My curly haired people come see them! Lauren did amazing on my curly cut!

ALISON. My dream stylist, highlight-ist, EVERYTHING-IST come true. I have been in Austin for two years, and have been to more than four different hair salons before finding my home here at Little Sister. None of the previous hair dressers got close to anything I had desired...and this is after having highlights for 8 years (no issue!) before moving here! Thanks to Alison, for the first time probably since COVID, my hair feels like *my* *hair* again. No wonder my most fashionable and beautiful friends go here...not to let the secret out of the bag. Amy is so sweet and knowledgeable- she took so much time to give me a cut that would both fit my curly pattern and my goals while also making sure I had the right skills to recreate my style at home. I can really appreciate a skilled stylist who knows how to work with a wide range of textures and is also caring enough to make sure their clients are happy with their results. I definitely found that with Amy at Little Sister!

I have been going to Little Sister Salon for over 10 years now! As a curly girl, I know it can be difficult to find someone that is skilled at cutting curly hair. Little Sister Salon has several curly hair specialists. Marisol is my hairstylist and she is wonderful! So sweet and highly skilled at what she does. All of the other staff are friendly and the place has a chill vibe. I love the decor and the beautiful fiddle leaf fig named Hector. Highly recommend!

I’ve been seeing Alison Rea for 3 years now. She has given me the absolute best haircuts of my life. She listens to what I want and is the first person who has managed to strike the perfect balance between an edgy and feminine cut since my early 20s…I feel so confident and good about my hair after I see her and the cuts grow in beautifully. After my last haircut SO many people came up to me and asked me where i got it done and when I walked into work a colleague screamed ‘OMG, you look 10 years younger, that is super hot on you!’ Plus she’s a delightful person to spend 2 hours with!

Got a men's longhair cut and style with Lauren! She's amazing and had a great vision of what my hair should be from the second I walked in the door. One of the best, if not the best, styles I've ever had. And, she removed all stress from the cut/styling experience!

I had my first appointment at the salon to see Amy for a haircut. I waited fifteen minutes past my appointment time to be seen, which isn’t an extensive amount of time, but it made me realize it was the first time I’ve ever had to wait for a hairstylist with an appointment. The guy at the front was very sweet and asked if he could get me anything during my wait. Once I got seated with Amy, we went over my hair goals and I showed her pictures of my last hair cut in New Orleans which I loved so much. Amy told me she didn’t like it. I appreciate when a stylist gives their professional input, but what she didn’t like about the look was that it wasn’t polished. My hair is very, very fine with sort of wavy, wiry texture. I like to get it cut with respect to that. I rarely style my hair in a sleek way. I wanted curtain bangs with a lot of face framing and layering throughout. I like long hair but I told her that I was okay with going shorter if it worked best for the layering I wanted. Amy told me she preferred to keep it long. She kept referring to what I wanted as messy. When she got to cutting my hair, this is the first time I’ve ever had my hair cut dry. It wasn’t washed or wetted in the salon. I’ve have my hair trimmed wet and then trimmed more once blow-dried, but this sort of dry cut doesn’t work with hair texture like mine. Needless to say, she barely cut anything off and it looks the same as when I walked in. My ends aren’t even what little she did trim around my face isn’t balanced. I part my hair right down the middle. It definitely wasn’t worth the $80.

All of the stylists are exceptionally talented and it doesn't matter who you come to see because they'll all great you with a big smile. The great Tisa Watson is my favorite lady and I'll never go anywhere else again.

It is beyond any salon experience I have had, and I have had a lot. I just moved to Austin and one of the most important things was finding a great stylist. The salon is amazing from start to finish. When you walk in you feel like you are being taken care of. Rachel was at the front desk when we arrived and she is a breath of fresh air. So professional, efficient, kind, warm, and gives a great shampoo. The vibe and atmosphere of the salon are just cool. Lauren did my hair and she is outstanding. She not only has such a wonderful personality and demeanor but she knows her hair. She took one look at my face and energy and knew just what I needed. I would highly recommend going to Little Sister Salon!!

I have been a client of Allison for years now and love her craft of men hair cuts. It’s an art for her and I always leave her chair feeling 💯! When she gives me a hair cut, she takes into account the shape of my head in a way unlike any previous hair stylist I have gone to before and each time my hair cut looks fine AF. My husband and I love her and her work so much that we could not have our wedding day with out her somehow in it. We had Little Sisters Salon do the hair and make up for our wedding party and everyone looked amazing! The salon was super professional in getting everything set up, it was the BEST experience! I highly recommend Allison for her exceptional craft!
