GREAT little salon in Old Katy. We just moved here not too long ago and finding a good hair salon has been a pain… I tried so many different salons and I haven’t been happy with neither my results or the price until I found Live Oak. Emily does an amazing job every time! The staff is so welcoming and they are not ridiculously over priced. So glad I found this salon!

I had an appointment scheduled online (salons preferred way to schedule) a couple weeks ago. Arrived to the salon on time, went in to say I was there and was told I was not on the schedule. Contacted the stylist and she said she missed my confirmation. I reviewed my texts and indeed it appeared I should have been on the schedule based on communication but the stylist said she must have missed the other messages. I have wasted an entire day waiting for this late afternoon appointment and have pictures to take tomorrow. At least I could have been told to come a little later in the evening and she make this right for today. Now nothing else is open for me to go get what I need done. So frustrating. Maybe find a better scheduling system.

I’m so glad I did some research and found this little gem, I had some highlights done and a little cut and the hairstylist Shawndee took wonderful care of me. She was super friendly. I love the location. I love the atmosphere. Everybody is very friendly. They are literally master stylist and take the time to listen to your wants needs and desires.

I used to get my haircut here for many years and due to circumstances beyond my control, I stopped. Well, I’m back and the last time I was this happy with my haircut was the last time I got it from here - about 5 years ago.

Super cute and cozy hair salon in Old Katy! Found them on Google Maps and it was very easy to schedule an appointment online. Since I moved in the area 1.5 years ago, I tried many other hair places (weren’t happy with any of them), and now I only wish I knew about Live Oak earlier. Jaymi was amazing and did a great job on my haircut! A couple days later I even brought my mom for haircut as well. 100% coming back here and would recommend it to all ladies in Katy 😊

Cutest little salon in Old Katy! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I love how easy it is to make an appointment as well. I'm low maintenance when it comes to my hair. I love how here they have never pressured me to color my hair or purchase additional products. I feel comfortable coming here. Emily did a great job on my haircut!

I needed to find a new hair stylist in the Katy area. Live Oak Salon was referred to me from a Katy Facebook group. Decided to give them a try. Small, cute place with a quiet atmosphere. Crystal did a fantastic job. She really listened to what I wanted, and kept asking me for my feedback as she cut my hair. I will definitely be back and have booked my next appointment already. Thank you, Crystal, for caring as you did. It was a great experience. Look forward to many more. :-)

Caroline has been cutting my girls hair for years. They have VERY thick hair and it’s very hard to manage at times and she thins it well and is precise with how much hair they want to cut everytime. She really takes her time through the appointment and does a great job everytime! I highly recommend Live Oak Salon to all of my friends.

Had an appointment at 11 at 11:25 I still hadn’t been taken back for a haircut and style. Was not told a timeframe or anything on why they were late. Might’ve given great haircuts but not a good salon if you’re busy and have full day. Edit: The above is all still true, however, the owner reached out to me and offered a re-do for no charge. I have already found someone else I like, but if they are willing to make it right it's probably a pretty good place. If I didn't like my current stylist I would probably try again with Caroline.

I have lived in Katy my entire life and out of the almost 40 years. I have had my hair done more times than I can count at numerous high end salons and never have I been so happy about my results as I have had here. These past few years of going to see both Caroline and Emily have been nothing but a positive experience. I 110% highly recommend both of these wonderful ladies. They take their time to make sure you leave with the results you went in looking for. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

The quality of cut is outstanding and we love the cozy location in the middle of Old Katy. There’s even a spot for the littles to play while you get your services.
