I’m from New York and been going to the Dominicans for forever. Since being in Atlanta all the girls been telling me that the salons down here put texturizes or curl loosening chemicals in your hair when it’s too thick and this salons definitely did that to me. I got my hair done around 12/20/2024 and strangely to me it stayed straight until I washed my hair again on 1/20/2025. I am a 4c natural girl who works out so that was odd to me but I just took it as they gave me a good press. When I washed my hair my hair was coming out in clumps, my curls are definitely looser and I know my hair and it’s not the same thickness as before. I gave it as my hair was pressed for a while maybe it needs time but now it 1/41/2025 and I am still having the same issues with my hair. I have had a texturizer / curl loosening treatment before in like 2010 and this is exactly that. I think it is wrong to deceive your black clients. At least give them the option to want this because some will opt into it. Now I am on the verge of having to cut my bra strap length hair because it is so severely damaged. I am hurt and in disbelief. Doing this is a disgrace to the nice Dominican hair salons that use only heat to blow out the hair …

I come to the salon every now and then, but today will be my LAST time. I have never experienced such rudeness from several of the staff. I asked for color and because of the language barrier they were unable to understand what I was asking for. So after several of them continued to ask and go back and forth, I was reluctant to get color and decided it was best not to get any. I asked for just a wash. The ladies at that point laughed back and forth with each other and made it a joke. This went on for quite some time. It was very unprofessional and I was embarrassed by their behavior. I think there are rules for doing business. Number one be respectful to your customers. Have at least one person that speaks the English language and is able to comprehend. Nevertheless, it was a lesson for me. Spend your money where you can be understood and the people aren’t rude. Where your business is appreciated and not to be taken as a joke.

Wendy has been doing my hair for years and has always maintained and kept my hair healthy!! Veronica is the best assistant ever... always has a positive attitude!! I even got my whole family and some friends to start going there!! Love them!!!

I’ve been coming here often and it’s touch and go. One visit they can be super packed but moving quickly and the next visit it can be completely empty and it takes 3+ hours to get in and out due to all the side chatter. Today was not fairly busy, however I needed to be out in less than 2.5 hours so I opted to get the blow dry. Well the older, short, petite lady in the middle may not had been in the mood to blow dry my thick, well manageable hair. She was burning my scalp and pulling my head with that comb. I gave her a look and even asked her to be gentle a couple times to redirect her. Soon as she is done blow drying my hair bone straight, she asks me to step out the seat so she can do someone’s hair who was finished under the dryer and then she would curl me afterwards. I may be wrong but I was baffled. You want me to wait an hour plus for you to blow dry and style another head when I’m 20 minutes from completion? I will just have to manage my time better and drive to Austell to return to Evette’s. She uses great products however the traffic can be miserable coming from camp creek area to Austell.

Horrible operation!! Only have one person for each service! One person flat ironing, one person washing, and 20 clients under the dryer. You’ll be in this shop ALL DAY, do NOT come if you have something to do!!

I’ve been coming here off and on for a few years now and I never see them clean their combs it brushes with barbicide or any other cleanser. They stop combs on floor and pick up and keep using in clients hair! You should never ever perm someone’s hair without permission. Not sure if it’s cultural or they just don’t give af. Not nice! Over cgarge for services they provide and just not clean.

Awful they put a perm in my hair. My hair is falling out in clumps I'm so upset. This is the worst place ever this is not right. I'm so upset. That is very evil the girl was so rough with my hair purely evil people. Had some heat damage but this is awful.

Worst salon I’ve been to they don’t greet you , long wait times , very tough with your hair . If u are like me and this is the only place opened in Sunday save your money wait till Monday worst experience I’ve had in a long time !!!! Save yours coins and go else where !!!

Not my normal salon but convenient and each time I go the vibe gets worse. Some of the stylist are ok but none are consistent and they don't seem to really like their clients. I'm over it

I just had to ask the salon could I bring my own shampoo and conditioner after no liking how my hair sheds so bad and doesn't go back to its natural curl pattern after using there shampoo and conditioner, and they said yeah I could bring my own so that's good from now on...

Clean salon. No prices. I was quoted $80 on the phone, but when I got there, she told me $95. A bit stronghanded, so I asked her to please be gentler, and she obliged Loved my hair but I don't like the 'prices as you go' method.

Do not come to this shop. I went here 4 weeks ago and got a silk press. I finally wash my hair and long behold my hair is falling out and smells like perm. My curl pattern is also gone and my hair is straight. You will be hearing from my lawyers!

This is a pretty good salon, if you want your hair blow dryed to death , but I guess that’s apart of the process . Beware of Mary’s Blow Dryer , I think she has an unknown setting on it that feels like Hell’s Fire.. it is going to be straight thou. I would not recommend going all the time maybe for last min appointments because this is a walk in Salon they have great prices and they offer many other hair services. I don’t like that the products are in different other products bottles , so you really don’t know what’s being used on your hair and I don’t like when they have the smaller kids they’re helping to wash your hair. Elise I think is another stylist their she is great and soft spoken always smiling she does a great job to without so much of harsh blow drying.

I went to really just get my ends trimmed after yearsssss! I called before hand just to be sure of prices and to see if they accepted walk ins. Fast forward.. I sat down at the wash bowl, the lady washing was really rough. Towards the end of my wash, she put this horrible smelling shampoo or conditioner in my hair and I’m just praying it wasn’t relaxer chemicals or anything.. sat under the dryer with the roller set in.. blow drying was intense (kept burning me) .. not sure if my ends were trimmed properly but after the lady finished flat ironing my hair, I paid $62 for a wash & set, trim, flat iron and wrap.. (thought I’d only pay $50 because of what I was told on the phone but a trim is an extra $10 and wrapping is an extra $2) Here it is hours later, head hurting because of the smell of burnt flat ironed hair. 😩 I really hope this experience did not damage my hair but here’s to my first and last time here. My hair smells horrible.

Came in @9am soon as they open. All I needed was a blow and press out. They service others before and after me. Waiting 3 hrs before I could sit in a chair. Seems like if you don’t get a wash from them they over look you. Until they feel like they’re ready for you. The crazy thing is it wasn’t even busy. That’s the mind blowing part.

Coming here made me realize that some Dominican women are really racist towards black women. I’m not sure why they’re so rude and hateful towards us when we are the way they make money to feed their families. We should stop supporting people who hates us. I will never return to this place again the rudeness , the laughing at you when you enter. They don’t even greet you they just tell u to sit in a chair. 2/10 will never recommend.

I always come here and most time it's pack. This particular time it wasn't nobody in here. Have to be a new girl she wanna scratch my head before she wash it they all talking in there language laughing saying I have a lot of dandruff. I ask her was it a problem cause I was about to walk out didn't like that at all just wash it. Then talking about she don't speak English just a little but you understand if this water is hot. She even wash my hair last time don't know what the problem is but Mary is the best. Don't know if I'll come back.

I don’t recommend anyway to go here, especially if you’re perming your hair! My service was horrible!!!! I asked for a perm and my scalp starting burning the moment she applied the chemicals to my head. My scalp was on FIRE. I asked the lady can she rinse it out immediately and the stylist had the nerve to scratch my scalp when it was time for her to wash my hair. She sat me down in her chair to style my hair and everything she used was burning my scalp. Hair spray and a flat iron. I was so displeased with my service. I was still charged the amount for my service even though I didn't get proper hair care. The staff in the salon had the nerve to start laughing and mocked my pain. I was sooooo livid, but I knew the best thing to do was walk away and keep my peace. There was NO remorse, discounts, apologies or anything in that nature. The fact that their customer service was unprofessional .. I don’t recommended anyone to go to this location. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Very nice ladies. Clean environment. Get in and get out quickly. Hair looks great. I would ask for not too much heat if your natural hair can't take it bc it can thin and take your hair out. Prices are affordable for people who are on a budget. 😊
