I’m from New York and been going to the Dominicans for forever. Since being in Atlanta all the girls been telling me that the salons down here put texturizes or curl loosening chemicals in your hair when it’s too thick and this salons definitely did that to me. I got my hair done around 12/20/2024 and strangely to me it stayed straight until I washed my hair again on 1/20/2025. I am a 4c natural girl who works out so that was odd to me but I just took it as they gave me a good press. When I washed my hair my hair was coming out in clumps, my curls are definitely looser and I know my hair and it’s not the same thickness as before. I gave it as my hair was pressed for a while maybe it needs time but now it 1/41/2025 and I am still having the same issues with my hair. I have had a texturizer / curl loosening treatment before in like 2010 and this is exactly that. I think it is wrong to deceive your black clients. At least give them the option to want this because some will opt into it. Now I am on the verge of having to cut my bra strap length hair because it is so severely damaged. I am hurt and in disbelief. Doing this is a disgrace to the nice Dominican hair salons that use only heat to blow out the hair …

STAY AWAY !!! Better prices and customer service elsewhere . To start the customer service has fallen to ground zero . The salon is was full because the stylist were doing each others hair 🚩(2nd and 3rd chair )the shampoo was not thorough . To top it off they have went up on the prices again for this terrible experience I will NEVER come back and I will tell all my friends and family that were planning to come DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ‼️Take your time and search there Dominican salons that have better costumer service and services . Have a great one guys these reviews are really to help consumers not waste their time or money !and they do talk about you in their language .. translate you’d be amazed

I’m giving a 2 star for the young lady who shampooed my hair. She did a great job! My stylist, the 3 chair in was an absolute mess! I really miss my Boston Dominican stylist cause my hair wouldn’t smell like burn wood! She literally burned me throughout my blow dry. My 2nd time here and I’ll never go back, went in with my own products, requested a deep conditioning and I walked out with my hair so heat damaged I had to do a hot oil treatment and protein treatment at home. After spending $80, cause I tipped the young lady who washed my hair, No reason at all for anyone to have that much heat damage from a blow dryer, plus I refused the flat iron.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Walked in with my babygirl to get her hair washed and set. These ladies just stare at you don't greet you and very rude. These ladies have a nasty spirit and I would not allow them to touch my child hair.

This salon has really fallen off I've been coming here for about 7yrs and it's been downhill since I guess they've changed management and staff maybe 3 times and they literally have no regard for your time. Go someplace please oh and they keep going up on their prices but service is awful.

They are very rude at this place it also has bugs and they are very unprofessional they sit and talk about you in there language but little do they know i really am a geechie i have Spanish jamaican cuban in my blood so ive been taken my business elsewhere and they do not know how to do hair

I will never go back to this hair salon. I told the lady to just trim my ends but she ended up cutting my hair too short. I’ve been growing my hair out for 8 months now and now i have to start over.

Update .. Still the only salon I’ve gone to and I’ve lived over an hour away from this salon. Raquel is gone but Cecilia is amazing and has been here just as long! Absolutely love this place Raquel is an absolute god when it comes to hair care and styling. When i moved from jersey to Atlanta i went to a hair salon who basically cut my hair off and called it a trim. I was skeptical going to another salon so i started getting braids and other protective styles until my hair grew back to the length i had before the “chop”. I found Raquel and i haven’t been anywhere else my hair has grown so much it’s healthy soft and she really knows exactly what you are asking for. Loveeeeeee her!!

Okay early the lady was rude on the phone but when I got there she washed my hair and wash the hell out of it because I just took down the braids Ogla had done my hair and I recommend her cause my hair is laid I was very skeptical of people trimming my hair but she cut it and it’s very nice I took one star off because I didn’t like how the lady at the desk just threw my card

RUN FROM THIS PLACE This may be the worst salon in Atlanta If you have a ATTITUDE to do HAIR then I think you shouldn’t be working in a SALON. You all do not greet your clients (which are the ones that’s keeping you open) if I say my hair is wash and I want a flat iron don’t catch a attitude and don’t say anything. Y’all swear y’all don’t know English but when it’s time to say price yall quick to say $$$ My queens please find y’all another salon, I know y’all see they’re messing up your curl pattern and burn you majority of the time. BEWARE!!!! Black women please spend your money elsewhere. After being a patron for many years my most recent experience was horrifying.I noticed my hair felt and looked a little different after getting it washed and conditioned,the days following I continued to loss hair.I began to remember a recent review I had seen of theirs stating they had used perm during her visit that resulted in hair loss.I am so sad that after all the work did to protect and grow my hair they managed to damage it so quickly and carelessly. Please listen to the reviews because I didn’t.

I AGREE WITH THEM ADDING PERM..My hair is natural and 5 days after getting it done I got wet and it start to smell perm in my hair and my texture changed to course after 2 weeks its usually soft and now getting tangled.. I had my 3yo hair done as well and her hair smell like perm and she never had one and her edges are breaking off just from wash and ponytail. That proves to me they are using perm in shampoo cause that's what my child got and never had perm...PEOPLE ARE BEING SUED FOR PUTTING CHEMICAL IN PEOPLE HAIR CAUSING CANCER.....

I’ve been coming to this salon for the last 14yrs. Today was the most unprofessional/unwelcoming experience I’ve had with them. I overlooked my prior experience because I had never had a bad experience and thought maybe that day just wasn’t a good day. THE SERVICE HAS DRASTICALLY DECLINED From every angle!!!!!! I live in henry county and drive to ATL to get my hair blowed out every few months. Today was THE LAST DAY that I can except this unprofessionalism, and putting up with women talking about us (clients) in Spanish while they do our hair. I never thought I’d say this (especially after sending so many clients to them over the years ) DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!! Please spend you little $50 somewhere else!!!! Also, this homeless man was walking in and out of the shop, sitting as he pleases until I mentioned calling the police. Unfortunately I’ll never be back again, really broke my heart to make this decision but I just can’t do it

The stylists are so rough and rude when servicing you. They don’t greet you once you come inside the salon. The vibe isn’t welcoming at all. My lady washing my hair dang near washed my whole shirt the way she handled my hair. I dreaded getting the rollers put in my head my neck hurt so bad! The lady rushed me once she finally got done with my hair. Now mind you I got there around 2pm and I was finally finished at 6:30pm. Once she was done I noticed the trim she gave me was uneven! I want to add that I have been coming here since I 2012 and the service and quality has declined tremendously. She did 4 passes on my hair with the flat iron and I sat under 2 different dryers for over a hour. The heat under the hood was so high and she knew it. The other stylist came and wrapped a towel under the dryer. This is the first time I’ve had that experience with the dryer and the heat. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values themselves and their hair.

This place does not deserve to be open for business. PLEASE BE AWARE. My daughter went there for a Dominican blowout. She has been having her natural hair for a long time. What they do at this salon is unacceptable. They put a relaxing cream in the shampoo or conditioner that destroys natural hair. Now my daughters hair is falling off. When we called to speak to the owner, they stated that the owner lives in Dominican Republic. They are very unprofessional. No one should be subjected to this type of unprofessionalism. They are in the business of damaging hair. I am going to do everything I can so no one has to go through this again.
