Getting a hair cut can be stressful but at honey salon it is so relaxing!! I went and got a haircut from Hollie and I loved the result! She talked to me about what I wanted and also made some suggestions. She got to know me and took good care of my hair. I am very happy with how my hair turned out!

Holly did an amazing job! She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and offered expert advice on what would suit my hair type and face shape. The attention to detail was incredible, and the results exceeded my expectations. My hair has never looked or felt better!

I have been going to Local Honey for over a decade and my wife for over two decades (client of the Master himself even prior to Local Honey). The shop is clean, aesthetically pleasing, good variety of products, and friendly service.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I needed to leave one for Alexis!! I came here to get a blow dry as I was in town for a wedding. The salon is super clean, welcoming, and has amazing products. Alexis was the best and is super talented and my hair has never looked better. Definitely recommend coming to this salon and definitely recommend Alexis!! Such a great experience :)

Had an amazing experience with Jessica at Local Honey Salon! From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome and listened carefully to what I wanted. Her skill and attention to detail were clear from the start. She was thoughtful in every step of the process, and the result was even better than I’d imagined. Jessica has a natural talent and really knows how to make her clients feel special. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a phenomenal stylist!

I love my new haircut. Alexis gave me exactly what I wanted. She has a great personality and I enjoyed spending my time with her. Not only does the cut look great but the scalp massage during shampooing and the styling afterwards was wonderful. Glad I found my new hair stylist!

Blonde Highlights!! (on dark brown hair) This was my 2nd time having Torrie hairlight my hair (thick, brown hair) and it turned out AMAZING!! It's always nerve-wracking booking a new hair stylist for bright blonde highlights (I just recently moved to Greensboro) and researched relentlessly where to go before booking at Local Honey. Torrie is very professional, she doesn't talk too much but isn't quiet either, she has a great, friendly personality. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her especially if you're nervous about highlights or first time coloring. I was not disappointed with the location and will definitely keep booking with Torrie!

First 2 times were great with same stylist. Third time, I booked an appointment 2 weeks ahead for certain event, then they call me 50 minutes ahead to cancel, they offer another appointment next day with another stylist which is not ok. If I call to cancel they would have charge me full appointment cost, complete double standard which isn’t appreciated or acceptable. Never back there.

Great service and products! Super attentive, kind staff, fair pricing, and awesome location. I chose a stylist at random (Craigan) and she is awesome- I’ve been a repeat customer since moving here! Love their retail selection- large inventory of products from R&Co currently that I’m loving.

Made an appointment with this salon they told me on the phone it was 3 .. then sent an email which I didn’t see after the fact stating .. I had an appointment at 2 and a consultation at 3.. does this make sense to anyone.. Then they had the Nerve to charge me $73 for a cancellation appointment because they couldn’t wait for me to try and get there.. It was like 10 after 2 .. not good customer service or understanding considering it was there fault… never again!

Came in for a consultation in March wanting to go from dark hair to blonde. I requested balayage with teasy lights. My stylist recommended balayage and paining my hair, when I asked if there was a difference and that I was concerned that it would not be blended she assured me it would be blended. She took a hair sample and said she will let me know how well it lifts. Two days before my appointment I reached out to ask about the hair sample since I had not heard anything and a follow up question about the balayage, I wanted to know if she would be using foils. She said no to the foils and that my hair lifted to a 7-8 blonde. After a quick google search I found this to be a nice blonde so I went forward with the appointment. Once completed I was pretty disappointed to find I was still a brunette. The color was also pretty warm/orange and spotty. My stylist told me to go home and see how I felt about it but right away I reached out and said I didn’t like it, I asked what my options were and if I could do foils and cover the difference she said to come in and she would lighten and paint some more and we could do full foils on our next appointment. Once completed I still don’t feel I’m near where I want to be, I don’t expect to be platinum blonde after one appointment but I feel like I should be further along. I’ve included photos for reference. Black shirt is a photo of me after my first appointment at LH, pink shirt is currently after my second appointment at LH, and blue shirt is an old photo of me after one appointment going blonde six years ago when I lived in another town. Personally I feel like it was a waste of time and a waste of $200.

The stylists don’t know how to do afro textured hair. Came here about 1.5 years ago to get my hair dyed. It may be better now, but I called to see if they knew how to do afro textured hair and the woman said yes they have someone who specialized in afro hair. I got there for her to dye it and the color didn’t come out as I wanted so I was able to come get it redone for free. Both times I left with partially blow dried hair and even after I returned home I noticed patched behind my ears that weren’t dyed. I looked like Frederick Douglas because she decided to give me a side part on wet hair, which anyone who know natural hair knows the shrinkage is brutal to style hair that will be worn out it should be completely dry. I was humiliated leaving the salon, especially because I had a friend who would go there and her hair always looked great, but she doesn’t have afro textured hair. I even went with my friend once and she got a haircut and the stylist gave her a style before leaving so I expected something similar for myself. While talking to the stylist who did my hair it came out that her experience with natural hair was practicing on her black boyfriend. If you are a natural girl definitely ask to see some of their work first, I regret it often.

I had a nice experience. I wish that they gave you instructions in your appointment reminder email especially as a new client. You need to take a picture of your license plate for them to validate and they only take cash tips. As a person who doesn’t ever carry around cash I really wish I would’ve known that so I was prepared. Everyone was really friendly though, nice place, and I liked my haircut.

I stumbled upon this very cool salon and got my haircut from Marianne who was fantastic. Super friendly and very professional. I think I found my new hair stylist… not going anywhere else from now on. Best stylist in town

I was new to the area and had my prior stylist for almost 10 years. I have had a lot of hair history and prior damages and have been trying to keep it healthy to be able to go back to blonde. Although there for a hair cut, Gabby took the time to review my history and hear my ultimate goals for my hair. I don’t know anything about hair (apparently only how to screw it up) so I felt super comfortable with her expertise and knowledge. I had been to another salon and it was not a good fit. Also, I had just lost my 9 year old Vizsla so being able to snuggle Vivian WAS THE BEST.

If you have curly hair definitely come here and have your hair done by Tori. She did AMAZING with my curly hair. She listened to what I wanted, and delivered exactly what I asked for. I had a balayage done on my curly hair, and she tended to every curl. My curls still feel healthy and bouncy. She also cut my hair dry to shape my curls in its natural state which I really enjoyed. Overall, a great experience.

DO NOT ENTER THIS BUILDING. I walked into this building and the moment I did their brown dog ran at me and bit me on the stomach. They have a wild animal in the building that they have no control over. Do not enter this establishment.

I’ve been to Local Honey twice now and they can’t be beat. Artists who truly listen and care. I am a recent burn victim and a lot of my hair had to go, but the staff at Local Honey treated me with respect and compassion throughout this painful process, in a way that I will never forget. Shoutout to Tori!
