First, let me start off by saying that I'll definitely be coming back. Anica has my hair laid. I mean SLAYED. My appointment was started at the time it was set (in fact, a few minutes earlier) and was finished in a timely manner. She was very attentive, courteous and professional. Anica is surely a VIBE. I used to love this salon, they started my first set of locs. Came back to them for the first time and booked an appointment more than a week in advance for them to call me 20 minutes before a 9:00 appt to say the person I booked (I booked first available) is no longer with the shop and if I could come in later. I was getting my hair done for my sister’s graduation later today, and now I dont know what to do. The woman that called tried to say she called the day before and didnt get an answer, but I called yesterday morning to see about if I could move my appointment up, and she left no voicemail to tell give me a heads up before I got out of my bed to come halfway up here. Terrible.

I just had the absolutely most amazing experience ever..Terry my loc stylist was the most precious person ever..just absolutely lovely .sweet, kind, soft handed and she made me look like a beauty queen. The shop was so inviting, lovely ambiance. I have been to many loc hair salons, this one takes the cake. Great ladies, wonderful stylists, an all around fantastic experience..great job to the owner for creating an environment where ur stylists r happy and it transfers to the experience they creat for your clients kudos to u for a job well done...🤗🤗🥰🥰🦋🦋

I'm disappointed with how my inquiry was handled. I've followed them on IG for a while and had hoped to get my locs done by them. When I reached out about walk-ins, the line disconnected. Upon calling back, the person I spoke to seemed unaware of the disconnect. Despite this, I asked about walk-ins again, but was met with laughter and a comment about scheduling reties. It left a sour impression, and it's important to be mindful of how people are treated, especially considering the impact of social media on businesses. The laughter following the disconnected call made me suspect that it might have been intentional, adding to my disappointment with the situation.

I've followed Michele on social media for quite some time. I sent her pics of my hair to see if she could interloc them because I have small locs. I told her I have 174 locs. She said she could do them and invited me to her website. Some months went by before I decided to make an appointment. I showed up to my appointment before time however she was over an hr late starting on my hair. Then she says " are those sisterlocs, cause if they are, I dont do those". As a professional, I would think she would know the difference between the two. I paid for interlocking service on the website, when she was almost finished with my hair she said it would be an additional $25 b/c of the size of my locs. I was kool with that because I believe in paying ppl for their service. When I left my hair looked great. She interlocked them then twist them to smooth out the stray hairs. I have to wash my hair often, the reason I interloc instead of palm roll. I did not realize at the time I left the salon, she didn't interloc my hair at all in the front. She did a rush through to get to her other client she had waiting. She palmed rolled my hair but charged me full price for an interloc. She faked me out and ripped me off. Update: the newsletter that was sent to your clients/formal clients about Tien McCombswas was tacky and distasteful. How many people have you stolen money from??? I'm one of them. What goes around comes around.

First let me begin by saying the atmosphere is serene my sister are serene and I nor the many friends and family I recommended never left disappointed. I would tell my stylist name but I won’t because I already have to book way in advance. But everyone of them are great! Love my sister

I came to have my hair colored on June 15th. When I left, my hair felt dry and I was told that if I didn't like the color that I should go to a beauty shop to get a different one (as though I'm a professional) to put it in myself. I've sent emails and called to have the breakage and dryness address in some way. I also requested to have 3 locs reattached and was told that my hair was too short to do so but "we can color them for later" and was charged in full for the color and reattachments that I didn't receive. I have not received any response to my requests for assistance and my hair is still hard and breaking heavily. I would appreciate if someone could reach out so that we can figure out some resolution to save my hair.

I had the worse initial experience. I have been to oh my nappy hair, taliah, royal crown… whoever Tien is… she is the worse, personality wise. I started to book an appointment online. Something told me to call first. I called and was told there are no available appointments for this month. So I checked on line anyway. There were actually available appointments. I called back to ascertain and in-depth understanding. The phone was given to Tien. Everything from her customer service, intonation, actual knowledge of the calendar and what was reflected on the internet was completely off. She is argumentative, operates on a low frequency and has negative vibes. I would not want those hands in my hair. I have been following them for months before deciding to give them a chance. I am terribly disappointed but not surprised at all. Tien said she is the manager. Not a good look at all… when you want to support us but can’t because of us…. Got to be more careful.

I'm surprised I haven't left a review for LocMamas already... I started with Mz. Michelle when my locs were toddlers at Deeply Rooted. When she transitioned to her own shop near the Stn Mtn/Decatur area, I followed suit because she's very experienced, talented, & all and all a genuine/good person. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep up with the commute and found a shop that was near my job with an equally experience loctician. However, not the same level of Customer Service as LocMamas. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this salon based off my own experience. However, you may wanna research the different locticians and/or schedule a consultation. Peace & Blessings, Za

Let me first start off by saying great Saying the girl who did my hair was very nice and she did serveral clients back to back. BUTTTT… This was the worst someone has ever done my hair. Okay so I came in this morning for an appointment that I thought was for microlocs RETIGHTEN. After washing and all that, she pulled out a comb to retighten my hair, I asked her if she has the equipment that the use for micro locs and sisters locs, I don’t think she had it so she started using a crochet hook. I wish she had said she’s never done this before, but a few of my locs were merged, a few were twisted in two strand twist( because they were coming out) and I have a lot of, WHEN I SAY ALOT, I mean a lot of GAPS, this was not worth 235$. I paid for her time not for her experience. Please don’t take clients that you know you can’t service them well. I am absolutely angry. Not worth my money

This reminded me why I don't do hair salons. I asked Tien to combine some of my locs, a service they claim to offer. She told me no. No explanation, just a blunt and rude refusal. She ended up combining two of my locs but she made smart remarks the whole appointment and laughed with the other stylist about her "abusing" and "yelling at" her customer. I've tried explaining to her the issue I had with the front of my hair two times before. Each time she was unhelpful and condescending. I asked for my next appointment to be booked with another stylist, V. She pretended to book it but didn't. Probably for the best, since V was always late to my appointments, which was how I ended up with Tien. I went one street over and found a loctician who fixed the front of my head with one appointment.

This was my first time going to a salon since being locced (1y10m) and it was a great experience! All the ladies in there were very friendly and helped one another out when needed. I got my hair washed, retwisted, and styled for my maternity shoot. Taylor was very gentle with my hair, my hair does not feel too tight which I’m very thankful for. First time with this style and I love it! She got me right for me shoot 😊 Will be returning!

All I can say is Awesome.. They took me in same day, explained different options and she did awesome job. And I was comfortable in salon. Recommend anybody visiting the ATL and need their locs done this is the place to go
