Although the amenities and service were pleasant, I was very disappointed in their lack of transparency with pricing. My daughter was told that the price she was given was our total but upon leaving we were told that was per person. An add on was charged during a facial that wasn’t asked for. Also an additional 92$ service charge because we went during peak hours. When I reached out about billing I was spoken to like I was the problem. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism.

One of my favorite experiences in 2024. We went on a weekday for the lower prices and reduced foot traffic thanks to a generous gift. There was a golf tournament or something the same day as our reservation so ALL of the parking was taken. We had to park in a section that was farther off but they validated our parking fees. Once checked in they guide you through the facility. There are separate male and female relaxation areas because clothing is optional. I requested the long plush robe with my locker. You’ll get an electronic key to your locker that is in the changing area. They recommend swimming attire so a basic swimsuit will do. They also provide shoes. There are hot water features, cold water areas, the infinity pool, the hot dry salt spa, the herbal steam shower, and a salt scrub. Plenty of soft towels everywhere. Lots of space to relax. We did a 90 minute couples massage. It was WONDERFUL! The team was professional and helpful and personalized the massage for me. Downstairs is a workout area and snack bar. We ordered some light food and a smoothie to eat by the pool. I included a photo of the receipt for your reference. Hope it helps.

First experience! First Swedish massage! The experience was absolutely amazing! Shout out hands down to STEPHANIE!!! She made me feel so comfortable, and was very thorough with how everything goes- she even didn’t get annoyed with me talking almost the entire time! Amazing experience, I thank her so much! The couple’s massage advertised on the website for this spa is the definition of false advertising. My husband booked a couple’s massage for our anniversary complete with an outdoor bath infused with CBD salts, amazing right? Well I can’t lie, the service, the experience, and the amenities were INCREDIBLE but when we got up to the register it was clear we were paying the price. Though advertised on their website as a couples massage at $475, we were shocked to find that this price only covered one of us, ie: half the couple. This meant that we were each charged individually for a total of $950 (the price of two couple’s massages) even though combined we only make up one couple. If we’d known we would be charged in this way we could’ve booked two Swedish massages individually for half the price we paid today. To make matters worse they charge a mandatory 20% tip for the masseuse, resulting in a total of over $1000 for this service. We will not be back.

What a lovely day! I had a detox mud wrap with Haley, enjoyed relaxing, then lunch by the pool. I'm planning to gift mud wraps to my family for Christmas!

The massage was okay. I’ve had a lot better. The facial was minimal to say the least. Definitely not worth the money. For what you pay I expected a lot more. I’ve had a lot of massages and this was a 4 out of 10.

Deceptive up charge. I wanted to treat a visiting family member to a day pass and just relax the day away (2x $100 passes) The front desk recommended getting a service at the same value because it was no extra cost. Me being an inexperienced guest saying “sure why not!”. I was already charged for the $200 and thought nothing of it. By the time we were rushing to check out, the front desk notified me that I was actually refunded and needed to pay for the service and automatic gratuity which cost almost half of another guest pass. They really shouldn’t be claiming it’s the same price. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since I’m a member at the golf course and love La Cantera. The amenities are great, but don’t deceive guests who knew what they already wanted.

First day came in just to checkout in our evening arrivals, the person that great us was one of the best customers service I experienced made me feel like I was so welcome and I was so excited for the coming days. The next day it got worst, the girl in the front desk have no clue how to great a guest. Made me feel like a was a second citizen, told me I needed to wait for guests that came in after me to get a locker. had to wait 1h to get my locker with other group. Why pay so much for this type of service! The resort is one of the best in Texas maybe they can away with bad service.

The deep tissue massage was exactly what I needed to unwind and relax. This açaí bowl was delicious and fresh, enjoyed poolside after the service. All the amenities are available before and after the massage so I hung out for the afternoon and melted in the hillside sun with beautiful scenery.

Their billing department is terrible. I was charged for a massage and talked to front desk person. She was supposed to cancel the charge and credit back to my card and was not. Trying to get a hold of someone to correct this has been a lost cause of endless transfers to different departments.

AMAZING!! EVERYONE WE ENCOUNTERED YESTERDAY FROM OUR THERAPIST AYA AND YANI TO CONCIERGES KAM AND CAYDEN SO NICE, PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. SO IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK. AFTER OUR COUPLE SPA WE USED ALL THE AMENITIES FROM THE POOL, SALT SAUNA ROOM, HOT TUB AND JUST RELAXED AND WATCHED THE VIEW. VERY PEACEFUL HERE.

Everything and everyone was truly exceptional at the spa. They were very attentive to every detail and wanted to do anything they could to make my time there enjoyable. They even arranged for transportation to Signature restaurant for Brunch, which was amazing! As a local, I can’t believe I have not previously enjoyed this local gem, but can’t wait to return!

Myself and 2 friends came here to celebrate a birthday and we did not leave disappointed. This spa has fantastic amenities, was very clean, and I can’t recommend it enough! There is an outdoor spa pool with lounging areas (beautiful views as well), a dry and steam sauna and an indoor soaking pool with fresh chilled wash cloths (my personal favorite part). My friends both got facials but I got a deep tissue massage from Marylee. She was great, communicated well prior, during and after my service. I told her I wanted deep firm pressure and she worked knots out of my shoulders and neck that have surely been there for 17 years at minimum. I left feeling like a brand new woman! I will mention the cost, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Personally, for me, this spa is worth every penny. I arrived around 9:00 am and planned to take full advantage of my day since my treatment wasn’t until 1:45 pm. The amenities are fantastic and the customer service at every point during our spa day was incredible. Check in was smooth, the pool attendants came by frequently to check on us and ask if we needed drinks or food, there were always people cleaning up and picking linens in the locker room area which was nice as well.

Ashely did an amazing job on my classic facial! my skin was glowing and hydrated after. She wasn’t pushy about the products she was recommending and the extraction part was quick and painless for me. It’s my third time going to this spa with my partner and every time I went it has been relaxing. I love how they add in little mix nuts snacks now. It does get crowded sometimes so I recommend booking weekday mornings for the ultimate relaxing experience.

I recently visited Loma Spa and had a mixed experience. The amenities were fantastic, offering a serene environment and excellent facilities. The massage I received was top-notch, truly relaxing and professional. However, I was a bit disappointed with the pedicure service. It didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of thoroughness and attention to detail. Overall, Loma provides a lovely atmosphere with great amenities and skilled massage therapists. Just be mindful if you're expecting the same level of excellence across all services.

Had a lovely experience here. All staff members were kind and attentive. There was an issue with my friend’s cancellation and the manager handled the situation so I did not have to worry about it. Highly recommend and I will be returning.

I have stayed at the Villas of La Cantera several times, but never visited the spa. I was so excited to finally book a massage. I have had numerous massages at JW, Westin, Mokara and even in Breckenridge, CO, etc.. This by far was the worst and most awkward massage I have ever had. She was constantly talking to me about relaxing and that my muscles were not relaxed. It was like I was irritating her which actually increased my anxiety and made me more tense. Unfortunately, I paid over $200 for this experience! Overall everyone else at the spa were very welcoming, but not sure I will be returning unless I can request someone more accommodating and less judgmental.

I just moved to San Antonio and had heard many great things about this spa and wellness center. Since I was in search of a new hair salon, I thought, why not give Loma de Vida a try. After my appointment was booked, I was eager to tour the facility and enjoy the amenities while I waited for my hair appointment. I showed the hair stylist several pictures, and after some discussion, she assured me she could get my hair to look like the picture. It came out orange in some places, and it definitely wasn't a balayage. Now I know there will be variation, but my hair came out nothing like the picture. Mind you, I had virgin hair, and it hadn't been colored. I expressed my concerns, and her response was, "she didn't want to shock me," and that's why it didn't look anything like the picture. She charged me an extra $100 for "balayage" for a grand total of $520(includes a mandatory20% gratuity). I tried speaking with the manager, and she was in a meeting. They took my info and assured me that she would call me back. I understand that sometimes you get busy and sometimes forget. I called back two days later, same thing...she was unavailable, took my info and assured me again that she would call me back. Never got a call back. I tried once more the following day, and she was out to lunch. This time, I actually got a call back. She apologized and said she would make it right. She offered to refund my money and have my hair fixed. Unfortunately, they only have one hair stylist, so I would have to trust the same person to try and fix my hair. Reluctantly, I agreed, and she said she would confirm with the stylist and call me back. This was 3 weeks ago... After calling for a follow-up, I have yet to hear back. I am truly disappointed in the service provided, from the hair stylist to management. I expected more from such a reputable establishment and at a steep price. Although very beautiful and tranquil, I sadly can not recommend this business. Pics included for reference, my hair the following day, and the picture we agreed on that she was confident she could do.
