I booked an appointment with Ashley. My original appointment time was 4pm. She moved it to 5:30pm . Fine , when I got there she told me a hour or more wait. I needed my hair done so I said give an estimated time to come back. She said she would call or text me when she is ready. She never called or text. This is not the first time it happened. On Nov. 27 I scheduled a 3pm appointment. She didn’t show up until 4:30. I will most definitely will not book with them. They don’t respect people timing. If she couldn’t do it . She could have just told me that earlier in the day and I would have find somewhere to get my hair done.

I highly do not recommend. I had an appointment scheduled today for 3pm. Almost two hours before my appointment, I received a message saying my appointment was rescheduled to tomorrow at 6pm. Who said I was available for tomorrow at 6pm? This wasn’t a mutual rescheduling time. I should’ve known this business was trash by the reviews but I tried to give the benefit of the doubt.

I Enjoy coming here to get my hair done, Ashley is amazing. Ms.Patt was very helpful. They are always willing to accommodate. The salon is always clean. I’m always so satisfied with my hair.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was meant to have a 3:15 appointment for a traditional sew in. I got to the salon on time for my appointment only for Ashley, who I booked with, to tell me she was running behind and that I need to come back in an hour and a half. I said okay even tho i scheduled my whole day around a 3:15pm appointment. I came back an hour and a half later as agreed upon by the so called owner. She told me to sit and wait she would be right with me. The first hour went by and I could see she was doing someone else’s hair so I decided to wait since I should have been next. She finishes with the lady’s sew in and I get up to go next she tells me to sit in the chair. I do and then next the I know she tells me to sit on the couch instead so she could do someone else’s hair. I’m a very understanding person and saw it was a little girl so I decided to wait once again. Now over 2.5 hours later from the already 1.5 hour delayed appointment, she finishes the little girls and you think I would be next considering I had a 3:15 appointment. I get ready to get up and she grabs another person instead. This was THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have ever had in my life. When I looked at the lady who is supposed to be running the show confused she said don’t worry I’ll get to you soon. After me now waiting 4 HOURS after my appointment time. I told her I was leaving because I had a 3:15 appointment and she said she did not care. They are busy on a holiday weekend and I should have know better. She said she texted me to come later which was a flat out lie and then she had the audacity to say it was my fault for booking an appointment on the weekend before a holiday. I said if you knew you were going to be busy then you should have not allowed appointments to made. And she would not argue with me because she had a long day and didn’t need to deal with this. I have NEVER been so disappointed and disgusted with a person who is providing a service before. I was willing to wait. I was willing to come back if she had told me even later than an hour and a half. She expected me to cater my day around her which I did and then was disrespectful on top of everything else. Run as fast as you can away from this business and especially an uncaring unprofessional person like ASHLEY TAYLOR!.

If anything, this so called salon deserves way more less stars. I asked for a small for my braids and the lady doing my hair is telling me, “i can not do small right now.” Um what?! I was confused. It is a salon and I’m paying you so I said whatever I wanted medium because I really needed my hair done that day. I asked for medium BUTT LENGTH. She was like “Oh girl that’s crazy” and not only did she not even do the size I requested for, the length of the braids looked like a semi bob to my shoulders. Not only that but I booked an appointment prior to my visit in person with one of the ladies and the they even chose the time for my sister and I appointment. It was at 10am and they did not start until 1pm because the ladies who apparently were supposed to do our hair says the confirmation did not even show on time. I waited 3 HOURS!! And she still had the audacity to charge us 250 dollars each for boho braids that were nearly to my shoulders. Honestly will not be showing up ever again. Very disappointing! The lady doing my hair kept talking on the phone laughing over the phone & stepping out whenever she could. This should be addressed. Very sad.

Unfortunately you must give at least 1 star to make a review; this place is horrible and they have no regards for other peoples time. Never again, the lame excuses will never get my wasted time back to me. Get rid of the disrespectful receptionist/mother. She is bad for business with her nasty attitude & behavior!

Worst place ever! Do not ever get your hair done again. They told me they can’t do Afro style here when it is a Black beauty salon. They braided my hair for $215 with tip and told me that my hair unraveled with a week because my hair is Afro. I would never ever go back to them. When I did go back to them as they asked me to come back while they were redo my hair, the lady named Debbie tried to fight me in there. Miss Pat is the manager, and she is worse than her coworkers. Very intimidating establishment and I would not go there with a 10 foot pole. I am waiting to put on a court order for them. They refunded me half of my money. They gave me 150 when they request $215. Very sneaky people and I would not trust them ever again .

This place isn’t even worth the one star I gave it! I scheduled my appt for medium knotless braids 05/17/24 for 06/19/24. When I walked in for my appt the lady there Ms. Pat seemed surprised I told her I have an 10:30 appt. She looked my appt up in her scheduling book & verified I indeed had an appt for 10:30. She’s tells me to have a seat. Two more women walk in stating they also have a 10:30 appt. Mind you I’m the first one in the shop, it’s now 11:00 my hair hasn’t been touched I’m annoyed. This employee walks in and offers to do crochet in the back of my hair & braids in the front -_-, I said no I’m here for knotless braids. She ends up saying there’s no one to do my hair a staff member called out, sounds like their issue but whatever. Just don’t waste your time coming here very unprofessional & they have no regards for anyone’s time. Absolutely horrible service!!!! Yes on good olJuneteenth, I was not accommodated for people who walked in AFTER me went in the chair before me! I was told to come back later when my appointment was scheduled wayyyy in advanced! & from the looks of these reviews this horrible service is nothing new! You tell my sister in law to have me come back at 1ish when I was scheduled for 10:30! Like I said no regards for people time! & btw she started box braids on someone else that came in after me! Make it make sense

I went there for a box braids the lady I scheduled my appointment with said how long i wanted the braids I said shoulder length she said ok it's gonna be $160 ,I say ok no prob, my appointment was at 10 AM the hairstylist showed up at 11:45 ok she apologized for being late blah blah, she started doing my hair when she done I didn't like it at all I can count how many braids she did my hair but I didn't tell her I didn't like I said to myself I'll keep them for two weeks,then I went to pay the old lady in front she raised up my price y'all the devil charge me $190 😭 I said no that wasn't the price , she's started talking louder to me,well I just pay her and go home , because I don't like arguing with people but I will never step at this salon again,, they're unprofessional for 15 braids y'all have the audacity charging me $190 unfair

Have brought my Granddaughter to L.I. Glamour several times for my Daughter and each time experienced: lack of basic courtesy, long wait times and very dismissive attitudes by the both the Receptionist and the Braiders. I'm big on Customer service (was a Customer Service Manager at a NY publishing company for many years) and I rarely complain. The Owner is wonderful but her staff doesn't convey her same business acumen: courtesy towards paying customers. Be prepared for long wait times even with an appointment.

Very unprofessional. I called weeks prior and booking appointment for my daughter to get eight cornrows, during this phone call I was told the name of the lady who would be doing my daughters hair. When we got to the salon I was given a name of a different girl who I was told was not used to doing cornrows. 🤯 I was also told a different price in person when I was over the phone. I would NEVER recommend this “salon” to anyone.

This by far has been the worst hair I have purchased. I came in and asked for 2 20” bundles to be custom colored, I of course had to pay prior to picking up the hair . When I came back to pick up the hair it looked like 16”, very short . I asked why it looked so short, dry and shedding , as that’s not how the hair felt when chose the body wave . The woman said I told her one 18” and 1 20”, and the reason the hair was shedding when I ran my hands through the hair , was because it needed to have “oil “ or conditioner put in it after dying . I figured if you’re customizing you don’t half’ do the job. I said that didn’t make sense and I didn’t want it has it looked horrible and dry. She said I had to take it . I took the hair to my hair dresser and couldn’t use it as not only was it too short as we measured and it was indeed 16”’s, but extremely too thin. I had to purchase more hair and didn’t even use this , the shedding and thinning was too bad . Total waste of money .

Got a weave the first time and it was good but went back and they tried to charge me extra for the service they first provided for free! Lady cut my hair and didn’t say anything, had to go to another salon to find out, barely washed it- was still dirty when I got home, I didn’t even get the braids I wanted done! I left after they blow-dryed it out because it was terrible! Not worth going back to.

Very unprofessional. Got a closure done and the girl was over an hour late. Then there was a lump in my closure. When I went back to get it fixed after texting the owner she said she would be there and when I got there she wasn’t there only an older woman who had an attitude as if she didn’t want to do it. Long story short the lump was still there and the closure did not look natural at all. This was sometime ago but I kept forgetting to write a review. So tired of black salons acting like they’re paying you to get your hair done. Treat your customers well and they will come back. That’s it
