I’ve been here total of 3 times. Since 2023, I’ve gotten a silk press from Danni every fall. I go back to Danni because she is very gentle during washing, gets deep in the scalp, and my hair always reverts natural after my press. My birthday was beginning of 2025 so I decided to try something new. I picked up work, got a job and all to get a sew in by Arielle for my birthday. I have no problems with Arielle, she is very nice and accommodating. I thought hair included in her policies also meant bundle hair, my mom thought her prices were expensive so I figured that meant it provided everything… I would’ve brought my own hair if I knew. I feel it should be clarified only braiding hair is included. I’m slightly dissatisfied because I don’t look how I envisioned. Pretty sure I overpaid because I paid a $25 deposit, $75 for the silk press, and tipped $10. At least she was compensated but I paid a total of $110 for hair I don’t love since I settled on it. I wanted protective styles all 2025 so hopefully my hair wasn’t affected as much by the heat. I love the environment; the R&B, the conversations are interesting too. The work is quality but this particular mix up was discouraging. Just warning, don’t be me, ask questions.

Danni did it again. I am still growing into my hair acceptance and am learning how to care for the natural state of my hair. Danni took the time at my 2/11/23 appointment to educate and demonstrate how I, even I can have a wash and go - and I did not sit under the dryer. I do have my own curls (previously called myself 4b/4c with a zig). For me that is wow! I am so happy with the hair cut/shaping, maintenance, and a new opportunity to enjoy MY hair journey. Thank you Danni💖 10/1/2022 - So satisfied and impressed. Had the Silk Press Jawn and Cut services for my Afro (I was ready for a new look and haircut that would compliment my face/head and could be worn natural as a super-cute cut), and Danni delivered. Thank you. 7/30/2022 - Great customer service, and a clean and welcoming environment. I was very satisfied with my hair cut (Afro).

Each and every time I have an appointment with Danni I am pleased with the results. Not only does my hair look beautiful and healthy when I leave the shop, it remains that way for the 6-7 weeks in between my appointments. I am grateful for the time and care Danni takes with my hair and I also enjoy the vibe of her shop.

In my opinion, The way the treated my friend was beyond disrespectful. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and unreasonable. They locked my friend inside the store because Ariel Stewart ( braid stylist) took her deposit and did not deduct it from the total cost, and she also called her derogatory names, Broke , and Insane . For being a black women hair salon they don’t honor black women they only honor money . PLEASE BE CAREFUL & BEWARE.

I wear my hair cut short and I have discoid lupus which means I have many bald spots on my scalp. Danni is the first technician that took the time to check my scalp to ensure my bald spots would not be noticeable. I also love the lemongrass leave in conditioner and oil they sell so I always smell as good as I look! Fabulous place! Thanks for the quality service!😍💯

I went to this salon recently for the first time. I had my hair washed, a protein treatment, blow-dry, trim and hair styled in curls. I have very thick and long hair. People are usually very intimated and overwhelmed by my hair. Danni was my stylist and did a wonderful job. I was very impressed. She was personable, respectful, professional and attentive. I had some concerns about my hair and she took the time to address my concerns and made suggestions. She also provided education which I found to be very helpful. She is very genuine and truly cares about the integrity of your hair and in running her business. She did a Great job with my hair! I love it!! She was gentle and my hair came out beautifully!! I look forward to returning in the future!

My color came out gorgeous 😍. Literally strangers stopping me in the streets to compliment me. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the process wasn't relaxing 😔 the yanking and pulling on my head gave me a headache 😩. I have thick hair which absolutely cannot be combed from the roots. At one point I literally asked her to switch combs because my hair is not built for a small comb 🤣🤣. The price was good and I would recommend their services but take a Tylenol first. Also I asked for my part to not be in the middle and it was which is disappointing but not tragic 😂

Danni is amazing at what she do! Her hands are magical. I scheduled my appointment online and it was my first visit. I got a silk press Jawn and wow it was all worth it. Danni have good conversation the salon is beautiful and you just feel comfortable. My hair looked amazing and I will definitely be returning. Thanks danni for your service. You are great at what you do!

I had the silk press titled "silk press jawn". I found Danni online doing research on where I could get a good silk press like I see in videos on youtube (where your hair is wrapped as well). I'll start with the things I did not like and end with the things I did. I read that Danni was well versed in natural hair including 4c types. But when combing my hair she started from the roots instead of the ends and working her way up. That isnt the proper way to comb 4c hair. It left my scalp a bit sore and I could feel my hair ripping out (I did not say anything to her because I wanted to get the full experience of how she does hair). The silk press also wasn't what I expected. It was just a simple blow out and straighten and not wrap was used. And the products used didn't actually help silk my hair down like I see other stylist have done. I know it can't be because of my hair type because I have seen other stylist do 4c hair and get the silk down look. Next, I did not appreciate how much was trimmed off when I asked to only cut a little. She is the professional so I did not argue much afterwards. I must have needed a lot cut off so she did. But usually when I get my hair trimmed the stylist listened to me. I think that is important because it's the clients head. The customer is always right, right? The last thing I didn't like is that she used the wrong kind of gel on my edges. By the time I left the salon and got home they were white and flaky. Now for what I did like. She seemed very friendly and talked to me which created a comfortable atmosphere. I was afraid that the service would take long but it didn't. It was around the 2 hours she estimated. The last thing I enjoyed is that the appointment felt like it was for me. I arrived on time for my appointment at 10am and started shortly after. I did not have to wait too long to get started and I appreciated at. Unfortunately I wont be back mostly because I don't feel it was a silk press. Or at least not what I am use to seeing on Instagram and Youtube. But she is a friendly stylist and may have other wonderful services.

I’ll start off by saying that my hair did come out nice, and she did give me some pointers on how to keep my hair from being heat damaged. But I went online to book an appointment after a recommendation from my friend. My scheduled time was 12 PM. I arrive for my appointment and she I see she has someone in her chair, and someone else waiting on her. Little did I know that I was going to be waiting almost 2 hours, and I got out of their around 3:30. I was sitting in a chair hair dripping wet for 2 hours after she washed my hair. I had an event yesterday, I had to cancel all my other appointments because she doesn’t know how to manage her time. I don’t understand if you’re going to have a set appointment time that’s the time you should be ready for your client. She should just do walk in appointments. She didn’t apologize for going over time or anything. I almost wish I didn’t tip her, but my hair did look nice.

The hair came out nice and I absolutely love her personality. The huge problem was after you consult with someone how much you're going to trim the hair you should stick with that. Not go over there and do what you think should be cut off. After about a day I can't help but look past my beautiful hair and notice how much was cut off.

Best silk press EVER! I have 4c hair. My last trim and press was in Nov 2019. Typically, my hair puffs back up within two days of a press. I saw Dani for the first time for a press and style. My straight hair is going on week three. I'm an active person to workout and sweat. The straightness of my hair has not puffed up or turned curly as of yet. It's amazing in my opinion. It's never happened in my life since getting a silk press or press with natural hair. So, I'm definitely returning! She's really pleasant, personable and the conversation was great. The shop is so clean. Really nice place to go in Philly for quality and professional service.

Dani was amazing! She gave me my first ever hair cut (if we don’t count trims) and styled my hair perfectly. She was so sweet and chatted with me the whole duration of my appointment. And most importantly, my hair looked better than it ever had before. I will definitely come back and recommend everyone to see Dani for all of your hair care needs.
