Second time with Marina this year for perm and root treatment, and so impressed with results. I have naturally curly hair and have struggled to find a stylists that can get to this result without burning or damaging my hair! Super knowledge and precise!! So grateful to Marina for such good care and taking her time to get to results! Also super responsive for appointments. Hair salon is nice ambience, Japanese treatments and experts.

Ken is so amazing!! I called a million places looking for someone that could do Japanese straightening on my previously bleached hair. Ken was the only person who said he could do it and it came out amazingly! He also walked me through the best techniques to care for it which I really appreciated. It was a bit pricey but if you struggle with frizzy or curly hair you know that having the hours you have to spend on it back is priceless!!

The staff at this salon are very kind but it’s kind of hit and miss with results, sometimes they do well, and sometimes they don’t. Unfortunately, the last time I visited with Kyoko there was a major communication issue which resulted in a nightmare hair cut that I’m still trying to figure out 4 months later. I understand that was a risk I took on when I visited which is why I have selected the star ranking I have. If you are not good with the Japanese language (like me) I would not recommend coming here.

Careless haircut by Ken. It was so rushed and did not clearly communicate what he was doing. Such haste with his work and I can honestly say this was the worst haircut I’ve gotten in 15 years.

I went in for color and cut and was amazed at the results! The color was great, Kyoko was very careful and patient. The cut was also great, she thinned my hair at the bottom without making it really rough and layered. It came out looking super smooth and light, thank you Kyoko!

I’ve been going to Marina for 3(?) years (!!!), she is always doing top-notch haircuts for my thin hair. I often receive compliments from strangers on my hairstyle even after 2-3 months. Also, I notice that she likes experimenting with her own haircut and color techniques, and this is really encouraging and shows that she loves doing her job and making people stylish and happy.

I took my 2 daughter's to Loops Hair Studio yesterday for the Japanese hair straightening and Keratin treatment. Marina was our stylist and from the consultation to the actual hair process, she was wonderful. My daughter's love their hair, so beautiful. Thank you Marina for your kind amazing service. Noriko is amazing! My friends have been going to her for years and I’m glad I finally did. I have a lot of thick hair that’s a little wavy and decided to get a cut and digital perm. She thinned out my heavy thick hair and gave me nice long layers. She worked with what I wanted and explained what would work for the perm. Highly recommend! Parking lot has free parking if you show them the receipt or just tell the parking attendant where you’re going when you arrive and he’ll let you park for free.

I have been going to see Noriko for more than seven years, possibly longer. Her skills are on point, she definitely knows what she is talking about. But more importantly, her customer service is unparalleled. She is the kindest and most professional person. Loops is always very clean and contemporary looking in design. I have recommended her and her salon to several people.

Kyoko is the WORST stylist I've ever met, she has no sense for women short hair, she destroyed my hair. it's my first time to LOOPs, when I see Kyoko, her facial expression told me that she was too tired to work on the next customer, obviously, she is too old to continue her job. she didn't even ask what kind of haircut I need, I showed her a picture and she said she can make it, then she spent 10 mins finished my haircut, and during the whole process, she just simply pressed my hair and see if there is anything she can trim, which is super weird. I had to keep asking her to make my hair thinner , but I think her English is too limited to understand...The process of hair cut is only 15mins and she charged almost $80 for this, it's like a robbery! Shame on Kyoko

Fairly new, clean, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing hair salon located above Nijiya and next door to H.I.S Travel and Curry House. There are 4 hair stylists here who are their own bosses having their own stations, and setting their own schedules and fees, which means they are happy. Happy hair stylists give better haircuts! I highly recommend Ken. Over the years, I have had innumerable haircuts and 2 Japanese hair straightenings done by Ken. His prices are reasonable, his services are consistent over the years, he takes care to understand your style while also providing professional feedback, and overall a genuinely nice guy. Plus, his work station is by the window so you get lots of natural light. There is a small waiting area in the middle of the salon, self-serve tea station. Free underground parking downstairs - just show your receipt to the gatekeeper when you drive out. Nijiya, Kula, Beard Papa, Daiso and Curry House are in the same building, so bonus convenience to run multiple errands without having to move your car. I haven't tried this but if you were to stay a while for a coloring or straightening job, maybe Curry House would deliver... Anyway, look for the bright orange logo on the second floor above Nijiya.
