Tessa is the best. we recently moved but still travel across town for Tessa. She rocks a clean men's cut and knows how to work with curly hair. Couldn't ask for anything better. Still crossing the Buckman to get her top notch service.

Just got an amazing haircut from Miss Nam. She was quick, attentive and I walked out 15 minutes later with the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. I’ll be sure to come back again!

Mrs Nam and Ken the Barber are fantastic. Mrs Nam cuts a quality mohawk when I want one, and Ken the Barber does a great job on my teenager's hair. The price is right, and they are both FAST! However- I popped in today (10/12/24) for a cut. Nam and I were having a conversation about taxes, politics, etc. Definitely not a spirited conversation, just talking about what we thought would be best. Out of nowhere, another employee (long hair, towards the back of the shop) loudly told me that my views meant that I must want people to be poor and die, and I must want socialism... My response was "uh, sure, that must be what I want." She said some something about Trump, and I gently mentioned she shouldn't believe everything on social media. She then says loudly, "You democrats are the ones using social media. All of you lying, and cheating!" First, I never mentioned my preference for political parties. Second, this conversation never involved her to start with. Third, her attitude was nothing short of hostile. I apologized to Mrs Nam and informed her I probably won't be back, even though this was in no way her fault. I don't care to deal with this while just trying to get a trim. More importantly than that, I don't want my teen in such an atmosphere. I was genuinely upset when I left. I am just thankful my kid wasn't with me today.

Went today for the first time and got a decent haircut from Nicky. However, I was also treated to some of the most unwelcome and uninvited conversation I’ve ever had at a barber shop. I asked for her advice on how I could get my haircut , because I’m trying to learn what works for me and how to explain it to a barber. She just said “most people who come in here don’t even speak English, so it doesn’t matter” She then went on to nonstop tell me about dumb conspiracy theories that she is familiar with, since apparently she spends most of her time reading about them on her phone when she doesn’t have any hair to cut. I genuinely couldn’t care less about the general opinions and political stances of whoever cuts my hair, but I also don’t want to hear about it unless I ask. The worst part about this though is that she had some really insulting and stupid things to say. This included some silly and downright incorrect assertions about the recent natural disaster in my hometown back in Appalachia, along with telling me the hidden history of my specific specialty in the military. Mind you that I have a very specific specialty in the military that required me to have a PhD to even get in — but apparently she knows more about it than me. I can assure you, as a specialist in my field, she said some of the absolute dumbest things I’ve heard in recent memory while telling me about my own job. I didn’t spend any time arguing, as like I said I really don't concern myself with my barber’s opinions on any of this. I just wanted a Sunday morning haircut without any hassle. Like I said, Nicky did give me a decent haircut, so if this is your kind of thing then it should be comfortable. For me, I would’ve preferred to hear none of the nonsense that I listened to this morning, and I definitely won’t be returning.

Ken is wonderful. I loved how cute this barbershop is and how friendly everyone is. I am sure all the barbers are great but my kids have built a relationship with Ken and he does such great work!

Ken is usually my preferred but sometimes there’s a wait so Nam has cut my hair twice & both times she’s awesome also especially since today I grew my hair out for 8 months and went to a short fade . Nam todays haircut was awesome thanks 👏

My son and husband both see Nam for hair cuts. We go every 2 weeks like clockwork and Nam is phenomenal with my little boy who started seeing her around the age of 5. He was petrified of the clippers. She goes so fast and that helps so much for my kid! Efficiency A+ for her!

Nam is who my family and I go to. She has been cutting hair for many years & it shows. Her haircuts are phenomenal & she is so kind. If you need haircuts for your kids she's amazing with them. Love this place, thank you Nam for being amazing always!

I have been coming to get my haircut here for a couple of months now. Ken is always friendly and gives the best haircuts. The prices are affordable. I make an appointment rather than walk-in. Ken always does a great job.

I was a walk-in and initially wanted Tessa to cut my hair. She was busy so Ken offered to do it. I gave him a pic of what I wanted and I’m happy to say that Ken did a good job. Update > It’s now been three months since Ken cut my hair. Since Walmart is only a few doors down, I was thinking as I left yesterday that I should step in and tell him how pleased I still am with my cut, but I didn’t. Then as I was leaving Walmart, I saw him outside, so I rolled down my window to tell him. I might add that I’m as picky as can be when it comes to cutting my hair. I hadn’t allowed anyone to cut it in literally years. This is the moral of my story. . . if a ‘barber’ can cut your hair and blend the cut so well that it grows out so beautifully that it looks like you just stepped out of the most expensive salon. . . fear not to let this barber cut your hair. Ken Hayes is phenomenal. Always greets you with a smile and does high quality work. I typically get a fade on the sides with a scissor cut up top and Ken knocks it out of the park. I really enjoy getting my haircut done here and highly recommend Ken for anyone looking for a top notch cut!

Ken is a very nice guy and does great work. He has a steady hand and gives honest old school haircuts and beard trims. The shop is tidy and comfortable but the waiting area is simple. At a barber shop 💈 you are going for a reason, not to hang out or have a beer, so that’s totally fine with me. Walk-ins are welcome and that was a big selling point for me as I don’t really plan ahead when it comes to my hair etc. If I go to Walmart and I feel like getting a haircut, I want to be able to do so. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t want to deal with appointments.
