I had an absolutely incredible experience with Bernadette! I booked the 90 minute facial and was really impressed. Bernadette is very knowledgeable and attentive. You can tell that she is invested in her clients skincare goals and needs. I will definitely be going back!

90-minute custom Facial with aesthetician Bernadette H. was fantastic! She addressed my skin complaints and a thorough assessment was made during my session. She was able to remove some of my stubborn milia pimples. Her neck and head massage was also great, strong pressure as I prefer!! The products used were very mildly scented and had a super clean scent to them. The space was super cute and walking distance from Discada tacos and Hillside Farmacy. They have a few spots in front of their spot which made it much easier not to stress over parking. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing self-care session, complete with a glass of your favorite beverage.

Kiyita is incredible! They gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had, paying close attention to what I wanted and making sure every detail was perfect. I can't believe I haven't written a review sooner! I have been a loyal customer of Kali and Love and Roots since 2014. A decade! The level of care that Kali and Jessica put into their business is next to none. Kali helped me through a very tough, frustrating skin condition. She knows the science behind things! She understands the products and tools she is using and the companies behind them. She only uses the best of the best! She has services and technologies no one else seems to be using. She is meticulous and detailed. I have sent so many of my friends their way. I will recommend them until I am blue in the face! I am 38 and recently had a skin analysis done in which my skin age was 31. I give all the credit to Kali and Love + Roots!

I received a wonderful facial and brow lamination from Bernadette! And I can confidently say that my brows have never looked better! I followed her from her previous establishment and have always had excellent and relaxing experiences with her work. I enjoyed the products used for the facial at love + roots and I was also recommended some bio vegan skin food products that I purchased (for a first time visit discount! 😊) after my appointment and I definitely see improvement in my completion now after a month of using them and will continue to purchase them. I would love it if they introduced some membership options as I would be happy to be a regular for Bernadette’s skin treatments. Ask for Bernadette you won’t regret it! 🦋

Went in for a very simple updo- ponytail with wavy curls. I had to point things out during the appointment for stylist to fix. Stylist was kind, however she burned my face with the curling iron. Hairstyle definitely was not worth the burn/scar I have now. Had to come home to fix my ponytail because I was not happy with the service at all.

The staff and owners of Love & Roots are the most sincere and lovely professionals in the industry. They provide fabulous services, they are super professional and they have very competitive rates. I see Kali for esthetician services and the best facials in town. Kiyata is an amazing stylist and she maintains my blonde highlights. The entire team at Love & Roots is upbeat and super skilled. If you are looking for a clean, friendly and extremely competent salon, this is the place!

Great salon! in a cute renovated house with a friendly staff and talented stylists, this salon is a real gem. The prices are reasonable and I get compliments on my cut often. I haven't tried the esthetician services, but I plan to book an appointment with them as well.

I am here to leave a review on love and roots. And a horrible review for my hairstylist, Paige. (Who is no longer with love and roots). The workers were absolutely amazing! They were helpful and kind with my 3 children who were getting quite antsy! They gave them the peel and stick tattoos and would talk to them! Tickle their toes while passing and I CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH. (I got my hair done back in December) and waited a very long time to leave a review because I did not want leave them a bad review knowing it was just that hair stylist, not the company who were outstanding and respectful. Paige is gone; I can confidently say I will be back. I am heartbroken at what I received and should have spoken with a manager. As I drove away in absolutely tears. I next time will Definitley speak with management as I feel this company is respectful of their customers and love what they do.

I follow this salon on Instagram. I had seen the green peel acne treatment several times. I finally caved and it was the best decision. Gabby was amazing she was knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. After my skin literally was glowing and it has changed majorly since then. She recommended some great products and my skin has been doing amazing. I booked my second appointment and plan on booking 2 more after!

I have been going to Kali for over 8 years for my beauty. I made an appointment and have never gone back to anyone but her. Kali continuously educates herself on the latest equipment, procedures and vigorously researches anything she sells or puts on your face. Just to list a few items of note that have transformed me: Fibroblast & other fancy treatments – This procedure is exceptional. Say goodbye to lip lines and crow’s feet. Yep – GONE. Literally my entire face is resurfaced and smooth. Areas where I had large pores versus the rest of my face are now normal. Slacking skin is now tighter and you can literally feel the deepest layers of Collagen restored. She can derma plane, micro needle, green peel and shoot unicorns out of her hands, she’s that good. Micro blading, lash tint/lift – For this you can go to anyone at Love + Roots. They are all masters at shape and color. Biggest benefit is you can see the results immediately and they last. I feel like her services are geared toward maximum benefit to the client but affordable as well. Win Win! Facials- Kali’s facials are beyond extraordinary. You aren’t rushed first of all. She will analyze your skin and if you let her, do exactly what she knows you need. I have a standing appointment with her to do regular maintenance work. She is the type that if you schedule a facial for 90 minutes and she feels you need a peel or whatever, she is flexible and will work with you on what YOU want based on the RESULTS you want. Kali & Jessica who own this business are amazing. They are professionals that are kind, loving and passionate about the job they do. I could go on and on, but I won’t. Just go and you can thank me later!!!! P.S. Check out their retail store at the front! I cannot tell you how many gifts I have purchased for others and of course, for myself!

I was charged $400+ for a blonde root touch up because they had to "use more product". I have a bob haircut, and thin hair. I saw my stylist run up to the receptionist and make her change the price of my service while I was checking out (from the $200 that I was quoted at the consultation to upwards $400+). They refused to refund me any of the amount despite being unhappy with the end result of my hair (came out super yellow and brassy), nor the lack of price transparency. Run away from this place!!! There are much better places to get your hair done in Austin.

I was in AUS on a business trip and last minute searching the internet for a salon with blowout services. The hair gods were definitely looking out for me and led me to Ana at this beautiful salon. Ana made me feel welcome the second I walked in and I enjoyed talking to her. The shampoo was amazing and the blowout was perfect. I will definitely be booking every trip to AUS!

MARIE IS THE AUSTIN BROW QUEEN! From the moment I walked in for consultation until my final touch ups + lamination I have felt like my brows were very well cared for. She introduced me to powder brows (better than microblading IMO) and is truly a permanent makeup ARTEEST. Since I have lighter hair I was nervous before I went in and her, her salon room and overall energy is very comforting and calming. Not to mention, she is so precise and pays close attention to detail. I have been getting so many compliments on my brows and am loving not having to color them in anymore! Thanks a million Marie!!

Ruined my hair texture. Never getting my hair thinned out again. It’s a frizzy mess with gaps now. awful. I asked for my hair to be evened out. It was left rat like, botched, and even more uneven. I paid 100$ to half half my hair on the floor. Will be doing a chargeback for how awful they (the asian girl) left my hair

It was my first time at Love and Roots and absolutely loved the location and vibe. I was contacted ahead of time to give me instructions and a heads up about parking, which I greatly appreciated! It was a very cute atmosphere and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. I have gotten facials and waxing from Erika for a few years now and followed her to this spot. She performed a facial as well as eyebrow wax/tint and I loved every minute. She knew I wanted to relax but also wanted to focus on extractions and my face felt exponentially better immediately afterward. Erika is so knowledgeable and makes anyone feel welcome and pampered. Highly recommend!

Kate was wonderful performing my facial. She was gentle but so knowledgable about my skin concerns. She helped me devise a daily skin care routine to correct and help alleviate some issues I have with my skin. I would highly recommend her for any facial or skincare needs.
