I've been coming here for over a year now getting 2 strand twists and braids, and I've gotta say that by far these are the best braids I've ever gotten. Never disappoints and knows how to adapt to your specific hair type. Highly recommend if your looking for some high quality braids of any type!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and I highly recommend! Shalice takes amazing care of my hair and she works to keep the client experience top tier. She’s informed, helpful, and meticulous in making sure that you feel & look your best when you leave the shop. You won’t find a cleaner braider in this town.

I have been a loyal customer of shalice for 7 years. And she always comes thru. She is professional and takes your needs to ❤️. And she has so many different services that she can provide at her salon. I always recommend her to anyone that wants detailed and professional work done.

a few years ago, i was going thru a ruff time in my life. my hair was unkempt and messy, but when i booked my appointment with SHALICE BROWN, she did RIGHT!!. she works magic with her fingers, and does so with a beautiful smile on her face. she makes all of her clients feel seen and loved. if you’re in need a genuine presence in your life, and a generally good braider, BOOK AN APPOINTMENT. High standards protect you from low quality experiences! I have been going to Shalice for years for my silk press, trims, braids, eyebrows, etc. I always get compliments after being in her chair. She exudes professionalism and every time I am in her presence she makes me feel heard and appreciated as a client.

Let me start off by saying my hair was fairly short for braids. Shalice did her thing! Shampoo, conditioner, and blown out to show true length all done with fair priced services. I would definitely recommend! Also, prepare your self for a relaxing environment this place is now my favorite spot. Thank you

Loyal Beyond Beauty had the audacity to rip me off and then post the final pic on her stylist page🤯 Then remove the comment section so the truth about her services could remain hidden. DO NOT GET SOFT LOCS FROM SHALICE… I told her how uncomfortable the first three locs were when she installed them and asked if we could do an alternate style because of how painful they were. Shalice said “no” and continued, despite my wishes. Once the style was complete, the locs were so tight to my head she couldn’t even pull them back into a ponytail tail😑 when I got home I tried everything, ibuprofen, ice, oil, EVERYTHING. The pain did not go away. When I first tried to contact her she kept hanging up and forwarding my calls (she said her phone was “broken”) then when I finally got ahold of her, she said she would not give a refund, but would do an alternate style, like twists (yes, yall this is what I asked for PRIOR to having Shalice rip my scalp out). I say “great are you available on a Saturday in august?” She says “yes”, then apparently her phone cuts out again 🙄 5hrs later she texts me and says she’s not available any Saturdays. Shalice might seem alright the first few appointments, however, please take this as a warning. SHALICE WILL RIP YOU OFF AND NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT IT. I still have yet to hear from her. Consider yourself warned. Please save your money and find another stylist.

Absolutely love this salon! I have been going to Shalice for years and she does not disappoint. I always receive compliments on my braids, silk press, and styling. She is extremely professional, clean, and punctual. This is the only place in Charlottesville that I will go to get my hair done! I can’t say enough good things! You will not be dissatisfied if you go here.

My first time getting braided by Shalice and she is in one word phenomenal. The scheduling process was easy and self explanatory. Everything about the experience screamed professionalism which I value tremendously. When we finished the braids looked EXACTLY like the picture I showed at the start. I will definitely be returning.
