I absolutely love this salon! Taylor is my all time favorite hairstylist. She really listens to my hair goals and also my lifestyle and makes magic. The salon itself has a good amount of happy plants, great lighting, and there’s always welcoming stylists!

I was endlessly looking for a hair salon that has great customer service, gentle hands, and amazing hair coloring. I had a traumatizing experience with my last hair salon and my hair went orange, purple and bleach blonde instead of blonde, i had no idea where to go. i was scared to go to another salon. i found Luminary Salon. i fell in love. Tonia is the one who TRANSFORMED my hair. i went from orange to a beautiful natural blonde. in 6 months, i went to a bronze color. yet again, this salon did an amazing job. i can now look at my hair and love it because this salon knows what they are doing. i will only go to this salon and salon only!! 😊

I’m typically pretty picky, so I did my research before eventually finding Tonya through a recommendation, and I couldn’t be happier that I booked with her! She did a cut & color (airtouch) and I was so impressed with her technique—and as someone who has had their hair professionally cut and dyed for 15+ years, that’s really hard to do. I booked a bang trim about 2 months later, and both experiences Tonya was so sweet, professional, and knowledgeable. I’m about due for another appointment, and no question I’ll be returning to Tonya. As for the space, it’s bright, airy, inviting, and super comfortable!

I’ve been coming here for several years now to see both Taylor and Tonya, and both have done a fantastic job on my hair (balayage, long, and short haircuts). The space is clean and the vibe is really relaxing. Would absolutely recommend!

I’ve been going to Luminary Salon since I moved to Portland in September 2020. Marisa is a genius at giving the best casual, low fuss, CHIC haircuts and colorings. The salon itself is bright, has parking (!!!!!!), and is filled with beautiful plants.

Luminary Salon is such a welcoming and professional space! The atmosphere is stylish and relaxing, and the entire team is friendly and accommodating. I’ve been coming here regularly for my hair extensions, and every visit has been a great experience. The salon is clean, well-organized, and truly a gem. Luminary salon is a beautiful space with knowledgeable and skilled stylists. I’ve loved seeing Taylor over the years and have greatly appreciated her expertise in gray blending and taming my thick hair with thoughtful haircuts and styling tips. I’ve also seen Tonya and she did a great job. I feel like a million bucks every time I leave!

Tia is AMAZING! She is great at the services she provides and conversation is easy and natural. Her facials are really good and I get compliments for a few days after I have had one. I high recommend booking her.

I’m so glad I found Tonya! She’s so talented and professional. I’ve been to her four times now, and every time she goes above and beyond to make my hair look even better than I imagined. She’s also really warm and easy to talk to, which makes every appointment so much fun. I couldn’t be happier with my hair and highly recommend both her and this shop to anyone looking for a stylist who truly cares about their clients!

In this salon Tonya who is a Russian speaking girl did my hair coloring in March 2024. After a couple of weeks my hair was in the worst condition, it became damaged. I still suffer with it. For beautiful photos she burned my hair, although I did not ask for such blonde hair, and I paid a lot of money, if you want your hair to be in great condition avoid this place or at least her.

Very cute space and excellent stylists. Tonya always does an amazing job with my hair. She always gets the color exactly right and can fix most of the bad hair jobs out there (we've all had those). She really wants you to look amazing and it shows in her work. Highly recommend her for all your styling/coloring needs.

Got my hair coloured here a couple weeks ago. Very friendly staff. Could have been better if they had shown me the color pallets before colouring my hair. The color was different from what I had shown to the stylist although the color she used was also went well with my skin tone and hair color

I saw Tonya who transformed my hair with a balayage and into a blonde that matched my natural color which exceeded my expectations! She is also quite fast, fun to talk with and very sweet. The salon has a relaxing environment with many beautiful plants. Would highly recommend Tonya!

I’ve had two great haircuts here in the past, but the one I just received is horrible. It’s uneven, choppy, my hair is flipping in all different directions. I had to spend a lot of money to have it fixed. I tried to give feedback to the salon but they didn’t respond. This haircut is horrible. I am confused as the why anyone would ever do this.

Taylor did a great job giving me a lived in natural blonde! If you struggle to find a hair colorist you like, look no further. The salon is beautiful and open And the process to get an appt was very simple too, which isn’t always the case these days.

Ugh this place was the absolute bomb. I loved Zara’s energy - the atmosphere of the salon was perfect. Zara did a wonderful job on my hair. Sadly I moved out of the area. Highly recommend this salon.
