Emily is absolutely fantastic. She one of the few stylists I’ve found who actually takes the time to educate you on what she’s doing to your hair. I also appreciate that she will step in and say what is good for my hair to maintain its long term health (for example balayage versus highlights in terms of maintenance and effects of bleach). She is a joy to be around and is easy to talk to as well when you’re getting your service done. Thank you for always acting with integrity and being authentic to yourself and your salon!

My whole life I’ve fought and fought with my thick, straight hair. Terianne’s razor cuts are the first cuts I’ve ever absolutely ADORED! Favorite stylist so far. Quick and effortless to style, easy and smooth grow out period, safe and fun energy, and a clean studio environment. Can’t recommend enough!

Terianne is a great stylist. She's cut my hair for the last 6 years and I couldn't imagine using someone else! As a man who has a receding hairline, most stylists aren't confident to still give you a great cut that doesn't involve shaving it off. Terianne has extended the life of my hair by cutting my hair in ways that compliment what I do have and is also honest about what I can't do. I highly recommend Terianne for men's cuts and am so glad I found her!

Rachel has been cutting my hair for years and I love her! I have always struggled with managing my thick, wavy hair and I love that her cuts are super low maintenance. She is thoughtful about how much time you can actually spend (or want to spend) on your hair every day. I can’t recommend Rachel enough!

Emily is seriously the best. It’s hard to find a good hairdresser, she came recommended and I took a chance. She always comes through. If I don’t quite know what I’m going for then she’s great at directing me towards what would be good. Also given me priceless tips on how to style my hair and never tried to upsell me with unnecessary expensive products. I go there knowing I’ll look great and feel happy when I leave, def have “found my spot” here. There’s a side street with free parking next to the studio so driving there & parking is never stressful or an issue. Be sure to give her dog a few pets :) Thanks Emily.

Emily is like a fairy godmother sent to rescue us from bad hair. She is kind and caring. She took my PCOS super thin/ fine hair as turned it into a head of natural curls that I feel proud of. I have really struggled to find someone who truly understands thin and fine hair. She made me feel truly beautiful. More importantly she made me feel safe. Could not recommend more. Update. Emily is so great to work with! Super easy to book online, always responsive for any changes needed. She is excellent at consulting through ideas and talking out how it would actually work with my hair. She is great at curly hair cuts and the color is always spot on. She’s helped with some grey hair transitions and balayage making maintenance low. The salon is centrally located and easy to find free parking with a fun and inviting space. A huge added bonus is Frida the salon pup that is such a treat to see each time. Don’t hesitate to trust all of your hair needs to Emily. It’s more than just a hair appointment, it truly is a trusted expert that is a treat to hang out with.

Highest recommendation! I moved to Austin 1.5 years ago from the Bay Area and struggled to find a good stylist. After running into a stunning cut and color on a woman in a restaurant, I asked her where she gets her hair done and she referred me to Emily. I've seen Emily 3x now for cut and balayage and love it everytime. Emily's color work looks natural and sophisticated. Not only is Emily an absolutely amazing colorist and stylist, but she is also so friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I've gotten a few treatments from her now (balayage, spill treatment, highlights) and the results are always perfection. I always leave feeling so confident about my hair and I've never experienced dryness or damage afterwards. And finally, for how insanely good Emily is at what she does, her prices are super reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone!! ❤️

Emily is just a joy. She's cool and sweet as hell. And as a stylist she listens to you and gets to know your hair - she cares! I have fine, thin hair with some natural wave/curl. It's tricky. She works with it and makes it the best it can be! Recently we decided to let my color grow out to let my natural grays shine. That, plus after a fresh cut, I'm feeling more "me" than I have in years.

I’ve been going to Emily for haircuts since she opened Luminosity. She’s the only person I trust to color and cut my hair. Over the years we’ve done a lot of different styles and colors and it’s all turned out exactly as requested. Emily is kind, hilarious and extremely talented. The salon is well stocked, clean and Frida is a delight to say hi to every time. I cannot recommend Emily enough!

Amanda was amazing! I just moved to Austin and couldn't have had a better experience. They are being very COVID safe. From the moment I walked in I felt relaxed. The place smells so good.
