I got a full set (four nails broke off so easily before a week of having them on hit). Then I got a pedicure (if that’s what you call it). This is where it’s bad. She did not put my feet in the water first like a normal pedi. Instead, she halfassed the cutting, and shaping. Didn’t ask what shape to do them, didn’t put the time into painting them right, and it hurt my toes SINCE THEY WEREN’T FRESH OUT OF THE WATER! My pedicure was a gel pedi that chipped the next day. Paid $80 for the worst service. I should’ve gone to Walmart.

I have been to many establishments here in Reno/Sparks an none of them have ever done such a superb job as my nail tech Nisa, she truly cares about the clients and the work she does. I’m never disappointed with my nails an I Definitely would recommend you give her a try !

Not only was the store clean and organized but my experience was more than wonderful. My nail tech, Janiesa, listen to not only what I wanted done but any concerns I might have had for the design and gave me her opinion. While she worked on my nails it felt like I was catching up with an old friend. I will most definitely be coming back for future services

Billie at Luminous Salon is an amazing nail Tech! She's very professional and conscientious in her work. Billie is always on time & prepared for my arrival. Especially, when I send her a picture of the design I would like. I highly recommend Billie as you're new nail tech!

When I left the salon after they did my hair I almost cried :( I had a very bad personal experience in this place. I wanted a “bayalage” and I can hardly note it in my hair. I have a very curly hair and I felt the stylist lost interest in my hair and treatment because my type of hair. I recognize when I went to the salon that I need to cut my ends but honestly I didn’t ( and I’m glad for that) because this is my first time coming to the salon. Also, no effort was applied when drying my hair to the point where after lightly trying for a while she literally handed me the blow dryer to do it myself. After dry my hair, it ended up frizzy very frizzy!!! This has NEVER happen to me. Overall the stylist has a good personality and she was very friendly with me but I’m not happy with the work. Prices are expensive!

Me and my wife want thier after a long week in Burningman, so thier was a lot to do :). The place is pleasant and the staff was nice. My wife said ttjat the overall experience was good but they aren't so professional in the nail polish application. You also get a glass of 🍷 while they handle your nails, which is nice.

AWFUL! NO STAR OK, I want to share my terrible experience with Luminous Salon. I bought a groupon voucher for ‘one Keratin Treatment session’ for $175 after 50% which was $350. (attached picture) For all of you who have used the groupon, this means that you are buying a service for $350 value, but you are paying $175. Right? I had an appointment today and I took 5 hours off from my work. I have already talked with the Luminous staffs, they told me that the express keratin is about $150, and the smoothing keratin starts from $200. I told myself, wow, since I am buying a $350 value of service it should be a perfect smoothing treatment. When I arrived at the salon and showed my voucher to one of the staff. She told me that I must pay the $75 extra for the smoothing. I showed her the voucher and told her this voucher means I have already bought $350 of your service. Then she said, that voucher is only for the “EXPRESS” keratin. I asked her again, is your express keratin treatment $350? And she said “NO! it starts $150. And since you paid $175 you are eligible to use your groupon for the EXPRESS”!!!!!!! WHAT?? PEOPLE! if you want to use a groupon to trick the customers to get them in your salon, I am not the one!!! Groupon means you have a promotion to get more customer not to trick them. NOT to LIE to them!!!!! I don’t mind paying $250 for my hair treatment. But, I rather pay that money to someone not lying to my face!!!!!!! Luminous salon, you are not going to attract customers with lying and tricking them. Be honest, and don’t use the Groupon if you don’t have a knowledge how to apply it. I don’t recommend this salon at all. They were not helpful. After talking to them nicely they just canceled my appointment and told me that they can’t do anything to help!! They wasted my time and my money!!! Not professional!

Galy Martinez is an amazing hairdresser took me five years to find her and I fly all the way from Alabama because she is the only one I trust to do my hair. Been with her four years and she has never been anything but excellent. I highly recommend her. Hey
