Brianna took such good care of my hair and I absolutely loved the cut! She really listened to my hair history, helping me ideate when I realized I wasn't even sure what style/cut I wanted, explained what products she was using and how they helped my hair specifically. I left so happy with the experience and how my hair turned out! Everyone at the salon was so nice, accommodating and really cares about the customer experience.

I love coming to Luster Hair Lounge because my hair always looks so fabulous. The salon is small and quiet, and it's always such a relaxing experience. My stylist, Chelsie , is a master of color and has a great sense of what will compliment your look. She is a true artist! I have a huge obsession Eufora products and even my mother, who has very sensitive skin, loves their products.

If you're looking for a place to get your hair done, this is it! Amazing place and team! This is still my go to salon since discovering it a year ago. I always see Chelsie and she does amazing highlights! My hair went from this brassy yellow to the light and beautiful ashy tones you see in all those cute Pinterest posts and instagrams! She’s also really helpful with giving advice about hair care and maintenance, which as someone new to hair coloring, I appreciate. The whole atmosphere of the salon is super welcoming. The owner is also super fun and friendly! Every time I visit I have a blast and come out with fantastic looking hair.

If you want healthy, beautiful hair then this is the place for you. Asta and Kayleigh are excellent stylists and are truly the best in hair color. I love this place! Euphora products are used which are the best on the market.

I have been getting my haircuts and cleanups here for a few year now. Asta does an awesome job. I always get compliments about my hair. Whenever Asta wants to try something new on me, I let her. She has a good eye for what suits you. My wife also trusts Asta with her hair as well. I had always gone to a barber shop before getting the Luster Hair Lounge experience. I am glad I made the change.

I waited to post a review until I'd washed my hair and had a chance to style it by myself. I now feel comfortable saying that this is the best haircut I've had in my life! I got the Signature Cut, and I had only vague ideas about what I wanted (medium to short in length). Asta helped me pick a style that would be flattering and easy to manage. I have very thick, wavy hair, and she did an amazing job shaping it so that accentuates my face and feels light, which is quite a feat. It is very easy to cut my hair so that it just 'poofs,' since there's so much of it, but she spent a long time getting the details right, and it shows. My hair looks great with little to no styling. Thank you! I won't be going anywhere else while I live in Austin. Update: I have literally never gotten so many compliments on a haircut in my life. Strangers stop me and tell me they love it.

Alexiss is amazing. I went from jet black long hair to a blond short cut and couldn't have done it without her talent and advice. Thir hair care products are top of the line and really take care of your hair- natural ingredients, conscience brand Eufora seems to be. Update****** from my original post a few months ago: I couldn't say enough or more about how #AMAZING Alexiss Hernandez is at Luster Hair Lounge ... if you or anyone you know needs a new look or just need a revamp, I trusted her to do a huge change back in March and look at the difference (all pics taken in the span of 5 days)! What I love most about Eufora products are how they do NOT use sulfates, carcinogens, and fake synthetic frangrances, which are found in most haircare products. Eufora’s is also WATER FREE!! They use things like pure essential oils and #Aloe instead. All I will say is i get so many complements on how strong and healthy my hair is, especially when I tell people that drastic color change took place only 2 days!!! Whaaaaa..... but that's because Alexiss used products with NO ammonia or Low ammonia also the main ingredient in their color is also organic certified grade aloe vera gel and aloe pods. I Will end this with: I only know wayyy too much knowledge about these products because Alexiss educated me on the all the products she was using and how they were different and the importance of haircare as I sat there processing naturally. Lol- it took awhile- and that as I go back to her tomorrow for my #FirstRootTouchUp, my hair is still shiny, healthy, and hydrated as the day i left the salon thanks to their products I've used. If you don't get a chance to go to Luster Hair lounge or book with Alexiss or any of the team there:) try to at least find a #hairProfessional who cares.

Asta (the owner) took my problem hair and turned it in to manageable locks, helping to heal over processed and fried hair due to another stylist at another salon. She is the first stylist I've ever been to that knows exactly how to care for my bi-racial hair (and I've been to many). She's very passionate and stays current with trends, she gave me the lob long before anyone I knew had one (and before I even knew what it was) and now I see it everywhere, made me feel like a trendsetter, haha. I also love the products she uses. She introduced me to Euphora and I've come to love the brand. I used to have bad dandruff that I needed pricey medicated shampoo for, she had me try a non medicated aloe vera blended shampoo from Euphora and it controls my dandruff just as well as the medicated stuff with the added bonus of healing my scalp. In short, Asta is amazing! I followed her here from another salon and won't be going anywhere she isn't.

I chose this salon because I live close by! I'm newer to Austin and tried a couple other salons and was not pleased :( I am so happy I came here!! Oralia helped me choose a beautiful color for my hair(which people compliment on often:) ) and cut it exactly how I wanted it. I had an idea and she made it come to life flawlessly. She was patient when I told her some parts weren't really how I wanted them and she gladly fixed it up the way I imagined. They have delicious mimosas and the other stylist, Stephanie(if I remember correctly) was very sweet and fun as well! Just really loved the atmosphere, the location, and the stylists!!! Will be going back regularly! 👍

I met Luster Hair Lounge at a bridal show in Austin. They offered a great, affordable price with their bridal package. They were very communicative through their emails, responding very quickly and working with me on prices and options. I needed flexibility with my wedding as there were two events in one day, and the owner was great about finding a price for me that worked, and worked with me on an hourly touch-up rate for the second event later that same day. Luster even offered me a discount for paying in full for my package. My bridal hair and make up trial was alright. I had an idea for what I wanted my hair to look like, but I hated it after the first try. The owner was gracious enough to spend extra time with me to find something I loved. The make up portion of the trial was a disaster. The woman who did my make up did not have the correct shade (I am darker) of foundation, so I left with white blotchy spots all over my face. But, I was reassured that by the time of my wedding, the correct color foundation would be bought. They kept this promise, thank goodness. The reason this review has 3 stars is for the events on the actual wedding day. My wedding planner confirmed with Luster Hair Lounge that my schedule for hair and makeup (for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother in law) began at 5am. Luster Hair Lounge arrived late, and by the time they were set up and ready to go, it was 5:30am. Luster Hair Lounge brought 4 workers with them: 2 for hair, and 2 for makeup. If we had followed the scheduled set out by my wedding planner and confirmed by Luster Hair Lounge, everything would have been fine. However, Luster Hair Lounge did not follow the schedule and ended up spending over 2 and a half hours on just ONE of my bridesmaids. Me, the bride, did not even get that much attention. I was also one hour late to my own wedding. It was ridiculous. I had 3 unhappy women on my wedding day, all who had their make up done by the same woman. These same women, in the afternoon, refused touch up services by Luster and did their own hair and make up because of how unhappy they were with the makeup from the morning. A few days after my wedding, I hear from my bridesmaids that the workers that Luster Hair Lounge brought were being unprofessional in speaking poorly about my wedding party. At my wedding. In the hotel room we were getting ready at. This, in my opinion, is HIGHLY unprofessional. I am unlikely to recommend this vendor.

Never showed a price list. I haven't had to ask in years. Walked out 2.5 hours after closing and $327 later. My hair was damaged but I was completed surprised by their prices when I left which are not listed anywhere! I was charged for a treatment and not told but it cost me $25. Also $40 for a haircut and $225 for a root and full head highlight. Ridiculously expensive. Beware.

What a find! This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is great, everyone is really friendly, and they take hair seriously!! You actually fill out a questionnaire about your hair, and they sit down on a sofa and discuss everything before you get started. I've been trying mid-range salons since we moved to Austin, and finally found one I can settle on. This place is the real deal. And if you want a steal of a deal, ask for Jin Noh. She's only $45 for a cut, and she is a true master. Takes her time, pays serious attention to your hair type and how the cut will frame your face. Washed, cut, dried, cut some more, dried some more, perfect. Hands down better than a $75 cut I received at Naava, and she seemed even more of an expert. And the best blow out ever - Jin tamed my frizzy hair without a flat iron, and she explained every single step along the way so I could reproduce it. Plus, she even offered to give me a free lesson with my own hair dryer and brush if I wanted to come back in. I mean, seriously.
