This is the second time I have been to this salon. I'm new in town and was trying to find a good salon. The first time I went I asked for all over blonde highlights and a cut & hair thinning and blowout for my style. You could barely tell I had any highlights there was only maybe 10 foils in the back of my head and 5 on each side, I didn't say anything I paid around 170ish that visit. Today I went and tried a different stylist and showed the inspo pictures the 3rd and 4th picture, and I came out with the 1st and 2nd picture, I'm a natural blonde so my hair turns very easy! When it got close to 5 o'clock because that's what time they closed I felt like it was rushed my hair being blown dried I asked for the curls and to brush them out, and because they apparently have a time window to get clients done, even tho I was the last there with the stylist and assistant, she asked if it was okay to do a blowout, and I said that was fine, but my hair didn't get blowed out right and when I left there was still pieces in the back wet.. and for this visited I payed 329.00 I'm very upset with how my hair is, and the price i paid when I pretty much got the same service as the first. I would be more than happy to speak to someone about this because 329.00 for a hair style you did not get is outrageous.

I regularly see Jean at Lux for a cut & style and I would recommend her to anyone! I have pretty difficult, very thick hair and she is always up for the challenge and gives me the best haircuts I’ve ever had! The salon is super nice and has by far the comfiest shampoo basins and salon chairs I’ve ever encountered. They use high quality appliances and products and everyone is super friendly. Can’t recommend enough!

What an awesome place - always relaxing, always friendly and great services offered. Over the years I've been to many places in Lexington and this is by far the best. This is the only place where I've ever gotten a really good brow wax. All of the staff is good - you can't go wrong no matter which one you try. A+

*Update: I have been coming to Lux Hair Bar since I moved here in June. I am very satisfied with my colorist, Kourtney, and the receptionist(s) that have checked me in and out. I feel Aveda coloring products are the best and the prices here are quite reasonable so I will continue returning to this salon. My first time experience with Lux Hair Bar today was wonderful. Both the receptionist and my colorist (Kourtney) were extremely accommodating and pleasant. As a long-time Aveda product user that recently relocated from south Texas to Nicholasville, I will be very happy to be a regular client here.

Amy is a great stylist who can create styles from the picture I show her or from the conversation on what I prefer. She really listened and I am excited to see what she comes up with every time. Her technique is outstanding. Thank you for your time to have my hair cut perfectly. I can’t recommend Amy enough.
