I visited today and Helen took fantastic care of me! I love my dipped nails and the lovely parafin wax for my hands! My bff and I visit Lux Nail Spa more often than I like to admit (don't tell my husband)!

I’ve been going to this salon for the past five years and they never cease to deliver excellent results. Go see the crew at Lux nail spa Kempsville Road in Chesapeake across from the neighborhood Walmart.

I’ve been getting my pedicures here for years now by Sam, one of the owners, he does a great job! Thank you for getting me in so quickly every time, also their massage chairs are the best around:)

3 stars because the pedicure was good but I ultimately went to another nail salon to have my acrylics fixed. My nails really hurt and I was still bleeding in a couple spots the next day and the acrylic nail was put on way too thick. My friend’s gel polish peeled two days later and was wet under the first layer.

Edit: Thank you, Helen, for reaching out and making things right after my two negative experiences at your shop. I still will not be returning, but I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me about my visit and rectifying the situation. I thought I had found my new nail place. The first three visits were pleasant. The last two however... A couple of months ago I came in for a fill and when Helen removed the polish from my nails I thought I noticed mold under two of them. I pointed it out to her. She looked at it and continued on. I didn't think much of it because my eyesight is not that great and I did not have my glasses on. However, when I removed my polish a couple of weeks later, the mold that I apparently had indeed seen was three times the size as it was two weeks prior. I had to remove my nails and allow the mold to grow out. Despite the mold incident, I really liked the way that Helen had shaped my nails the four prior visits (and I am incredibly picky), so I decided to give her a second chance, regrettably so. As she was finishing up with filing my nails and about to polish, I noticed that two of my nails looked flat on the top and one of them had an indentation in it. So I asked if she could add a little bit of extra acrylic on those two nails so that it would fill in the dent and make the nails look not so flat. She flat out told me no. She told me that if I wanted thick nails I need to go to somebody else because she only does natural looking nails, and she saw absolutely nothing wrong with the two nails that I was referring to. So, after spending $95 and being forced to leave with an indentation and two flat nails, as well as sloppy toenail polish that started chipping on day three, I WILL be going elsewhere, moving forward.

I’ve been coming to Lux Nail Salon for years, & always receive high quality service. I usually go for the same gel polish/designs, but I wanted to try something new, & I’m so glad I did. Helen is amazing when it comes to acrylic sets & unique designs. I even got my engagement nails done with her as well! 10/10

The atmosphere and service here is the BEST in the area. I have visited many nail salons trying to find the right fit, and the Lux Nail Spa III by Helen never disappoints. They are friendly, skilled technicians that run on a timely schedule. Booking an appointment online is easy with numerous service options available.

Omg this place is phenomenal! My feet were terrible! I hadn't gotten them done in years. I went with my sister in law and playfully put out my disclaimer warning the nail techs and they quickly assured me they had seen it all and I was fine. Sam went to work on these feet! Sam worked miracles! I can now proudly wear some flip flops yall :) I will definitely come back and request Sam! He's the man!

I was visiting the area and needed my dip nails done. Within 5 days they were all cracking and braking off. I’ve been getting dip on my nails every three weeks for years and have never had this happen. I would not recommend this place.

Lux Nails is my favorite in the area! Helen does amazing work. She did this cute little Halloween French tip set for my Bachelorette weekend in Savannah and I’m just obsessed!

Great services provided and good value for the price. We received gentle but thorough pedicure and manicure service by Joy (for me) and a gentle but thorough manicure and new gel nails (a full set) by Hellen (for the wife)! Thank you, ladies for the great service you both performed!

Visited this salon for the 1st time a week or so ago after being dissatisfied with my regular salon and without appointment was seated right away even though they were short staffed. I love my nails and my pedicure. Will definitely be my new salon 💞

Went in with my young daughter for a mani pedi. The service was just fine, friendly, and professional. However, when we got up front to pay, they tried to charge me $40 for the kids' mani pedi. When I showed them their website that lists it as $30, they argued that that was the old price and didn't want to honor it. When I insisted, they said, "ok it'll be $35." I had to continue arguing, and they finally honored the advertised price. I was ready for this trick of theirs because as I was getting my pedicure, I overheard another customer pointing out the price discrepancy. Meaning they were very aware that they are overcharging from what they advertise and still tried to trick me anyway. I chose this place based on good reviews and fair prices. Unfortunately I don't trust them, and won't be going back.
