My first time here and I saw addy and she was AMAZING. Took my jacket for me right away hung it up, proceeded to help me put my stuff down and get me something to drink. On top of her great way of taking care of me she did wonderful on my hair wonderful job on my color, I have had multiple people approaching my color in public asking where I go!

Bree Vincent does the BEST blonde. She’s so sweet and always makes me feel beautiful in her chair. I don’t know how she does it, but my hair looks amazing 10 minutes after she’s done and at the 8 week mark. I seriously cant recommend her enough.

I have been going to Lux Salon and seeing Kara for a few years now. I leave loving my hair every time and have never gotten more compliments on my hair!! Highly recommend Kara for any coloring needs, she is truly the best!!!!

Jessica M always does a fantastic job on my haircuts. My wife and I have both been going to see her since we moved to Raleigh in 2021, and won't go anywhere else! The staff are all very friendly and accommodating as well.

Me and my mom have been visiting Lux Salon and our amazing hair stylist Taylor Anne for years- we absolutely adore our hair every time!! I truly would not think of going anywhere else. Taylor Anne makes you feel so welcome and has always cut, colored, and styled our hair beautifully. A few years ago I decided to get blonde highlights and I will never go back!! If you want beautiful highlights, a fresh cut, or you need a new stylist, I’d highly recommend Taylor Anne.

TaylorAnne is amazing! I’ve been going to her since 2021 and haven’t looked back. Lux salon (both locations) is amazing with a positive atmosphere and friendly staff. TaylorAnne really listens to what her clients are looking to achieve or maintain. I have been a few different shades of red trying to find the perfect natural but with a punch color and we’ve got it! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Thanks TaylorAnne!! ❤️👩🏻‍🦰🍓

Chelsea Hoover at Lux Salon is the absolute best. I always leave feeling like a million bucks! She’s knowledgeable, funny and just all around amazing at hair color and styling. She’s also a famous wig designer, which makes her even cooler 😁 Would recommend her to anyone!

Kristin G. at Lux is the absolute best! I’ve been going to her for several years now and she never disappoints! She does a phenomenal job, I always walk away so happy with my color and cut, and she is so easy to talk to. Just recently my daughter had her first “big girl” haircut with Kristin and Kristin was so kind with her. Later that day my daughter said mom I’m obsessed with my hair! I could not recommend Kristin and Lux salon more if you are looking for a fabulous salon and stylist!

Hannah does a fantastic job on her highlights and cuts. Unfortunately though the front desk staff is absolutely miserable to schedule with to the point where I may stop working with this salon. It’s usually very young girls who are incredibly rude at the front desk. They’ve accidentally scheduled my appointments for the wrong time slots and then told me that I’ll have to wait several weeks to a couple months for the next available appointment. One person In particular who is very unprofessional is Maya at the creedmoore location. When I asked to confirm the time of an appointment because I wanted to make sure the scheduling was correct she yelled the date and time very loudly and mockingly followed by laughing thinking she was being funny in front of her friends. As much as I want to continue working with the stylists at this salon, I may have to consider taking my business elsewhere. Each cut and color costs me almost 400 dollars, not including the 60+ dollar tip. These are appointments that often have to be made 3-4 months in advance. Given these circumstances the owner should be more selective about who they have representing their salon.

After searching again for a year, I called Lux and told them what I was hoping for. I was matched with Megan. They were right on the money. She takes her time, asks questions, and made my hair fun to style again.

In love with this salon. I was so worried about finding a new salon after a bad experience at another salon with my blonde hair. I felt at ease and welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. I was nervous but after telling my stylist, Jess, exactly what I wanted and did not want, I felt heard. I loved the vibe of the salon, the girls seemed super sweet and down to earth. I'm literally obsessed with my hair. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve got really bad hair coloring . The plan was to get lighter hair but I ended up being red haired🤯. I have noticed that something went wrong and they tried to wash it off, but not much of result. I got rid of that red hair in few months only. Girls are very nice, the place is clean and welcoming. Just my coloring was not what I expected.

Really bad experience. Just so you have an idea. I have had bad jobs done before. Nothing like this ever. I started crying when I left. I felt as if she was blaming me for her job. I asked for a balayage, but only got a much darker brown (more like black) color, no balayage whatsoever. Her name was Emily. When she asked me if I liked it, I said not really. She then pulled me outside of the salon and told that I knew from the beginning that it was going to be darker (yes, but I agreed for face framing lowlights and a balayage in the honey or caramel highlights, not black hair). I showed her pictures and she agreed always saying that it would look a little darker… this is what I got for $310. No blowout. At the end, she said that she wasn’t comfortable doing my hair color again because she didn’t want to deal with someone that asked her to correct the color or that didn’t like what she did).

I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Max! He did amazing. I get uncomfortable going to get my haircut sometimes, because cutting too much off scares me. Max did a wonderful job at finding how much I was comfortable with cutting off. He took the time to talk me through the process and helped me keep my length while adding layers and making my hair healthy again. He was nice to talk to, and moved pretty quickly. Definitely would go to him again!!

I've tried several stylists at both Lux locations. I've had a range of quality of service from good to mediocre. Last time I went to the Creedmoor location the service was really poor and I didn't appreciate how I was treated at all. I got to my appointment a few minutes early and was told by the receptionist that my stylist would be with me shortly. That was it. More than 30 minutes later, my stylist was finally done with someone else and came to get me, after another girl shampooed my hair right before that. There was zero mention of my stylist running late, no apology for the inconvenience, or any other type of acknowledgement that I'd waited for so long. I was clearly my stylist's last client of the day, and she seemed very distracted, spent most of my appointment talking to another stylist nearby, and once again didn't remember that I part my hair in the middle (which she had suggested herself the first time I saw her for a haircut) and styled my hair with a side part until I corrected her. It would have been nice if someone had bothered to call me to let me know she was running late, or if there were some kind of compensation - how about $5 off the haircut if the wait is more than 15 minutes? Clients are expected to be on time or reschedule. It seems the same courtesy should be given to clients from the salon itself. I waited a total of about 35 minutes past my scheduled appointment and what was worse was the lack of acknowledgement, which I really didn't appreciate. And the haircut prices have gone up this year! And twice my stylist cancelled Saturday appointments I had due to personal reasons, and then of course it was next to impossible to book another highly coveted Saturday appointment. I understand personal things come up, but it would have helped if she had opened up another Saturday that month or something to help compensate the people she had to cancel. As it was, both times I had to find other days of the week that worked, or just wait another 4-6 weeks for another Saturday opening, which generally work best for my schedule. Again, it's the lack of acknowledgement of inconveniencing other people and lack of adequate compensation of any kind. I won't be back to Lux.

Jessica was absolutely amazing. I came in with really damaged hair and was feeling hopeless and scared. She fixed me right up. Washed my hair thoroughly, talked me through everything, and was overall just wonderful. Thank you Jessica :)

Kara is literally the BEST at everything she does. She is the sweetest person ever and genuinely cares about you and your hair. She double checks everything and is so particular. Every time I go in I tell her to do basically whatever she thinks will look good and my hair turns out amazing every single time. From bleaching to haircuts, Kara is the BEST!!!!

Lux Salon is the only place I’ll ever get my hair done! The salon is always so nice and clean and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Kara is AMAZING! I always look forward to my appointments with her. She is incredibly professional and personable. Talking and laughing with her makes the appointment fly by. If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would!

Getting a haircut and color treatment is a treat for me. I save and anxiously await my appointment. Sad to say but I am extremely unhappy with my haircut and color treatment. I visited less than a week ago. Numerous voice and text messages and leaving messages with receptionist and manager. Nothing, zipo, zero response. The stylist even stated before I left, "just give us a call". Go find another salon that actually cares that you are spending your hard earned money with them.

I came to this salon after my previous stylist decided to retire. I was in a flux with deciding to let my hair go natural gray and stop coloring. I met with Tiffany Holmes and asked her so many questions. She listened to me and we talked about a path forward, we all know how stressful this can be. I put my faith in Tiffany during the transition, and I am so happy with the results! Since then we have shifted to a shorter cut that I absolutely love! She is so knowledgeable and patient, and very talented! I am very happy to have found Tiffany and Lux Salon, and I hope that Tiffany doesn't retire anytime soon!!

I have been going to Tiffany at Lux for almost 10 years and I cannot imagine going anywhere or to anyone else. Tiffany did an amazing job putting extensions in for my wedding and she always does a beautiful job coloring my hair. She has nailed it every time I come in with a vague idea of what I want done. I’ve even gone to see her without the slightest idea of what I want and she somehow knows. I’d even trust her if she said bangs would look good on me lol. She has saved me from myself when I died my hair blue on accident. She knows which products to use and how to use them to get the desired result. Tiffany is a 5 star stylist and no one could convince me otherwise!

One day three years ago I randomly decided to get my hair cut & colored. I was a Lafayette Village walked into the Lux salon at that location & booked with the first available stylist, Tiffany. Immediately I felt I was in fantastic hands. Tiff listened to what I wanted, and executed it to perfection. I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair since. Tiffany has now been exclusively at the Creedmoor location for a while & although it’s a little farther out for me it’s totally worth it because of the experience. Not only do I love my stylist & always leave feeling fabulous, but the entire staff is warm, professional & welcoming. The entire experience is a 10/10.

I came to this salon after finding it on instagram, and all the pictures from all the stylists looked so good! I was so excited because I hadn’t been able to get my hair professionally done in about a year. I had done some things to it on my own, but made sure to wait a decent amount of time to make an appointment because I wanted my hair to be healthy enough. I went in with all over blonde hair except for my roots, and it was very orange. My appointment was scheduled with Isabelle, who isn’t posted at all on the salon instagram but I found her through their followers page. She had good photos and I even chose my inspo pic from her page. I was looking to go darker, add some lowlights, but still keep some of the lightness that was already in my hair and tone it to be less orange. I left the salon with all over grayish green hair that was super uneven and streaky and not anything like I wanted. I understand that with my hair in the condition it was in, that could have led to some issues. I contacted the salon and they were very helpful with accommodating me to come in and get it fixed. I was with Isabelle again and she was being advised by her boss due to my unsatisfactory experience. We went darker to hide some of the unevenness. It looked AMAZING! I was kind of concerned when Isabelle said we were TONING it darker. As someone who has been blonde for quite a few years, I know toner never lasts long… but it looked good so I was happy. For three days… after washing my hair for the first time WITH color safe shampoo… most of the color faded and it’s back to being an uneven mess. I don’t understand, nor have I heard of any other salons who use toner to do an all over darker color. I’m very disappointed with my experience here, and with how good all the pictures looked on instagram I don’t understand how mine went so terribly wrong not once, but twice. I paid $270 for all over chocolate brown color that only looked good for three days. — edited to add: The owner has responded saying it would have been a lengthy color correction process, but again I came in to go DARKER than I was when I went in and I agreed to go EVEN DARKER than I originally planned to cover up the inconsistency throughout my hair that their hairstylist had made worse. I agreed to a much darker color than I was given to “fix it” so for them to try defending themselves by saying they couldn’t fix it because it would have been a color correction is not an appropriate response. Take blame for not following appropriate hair coloring techniques. I paid $270 and sat through two sessions at this salon for it to look worse than it did when I went in BOTH times.
