I found myself visiting NYC and desperate for a haircut I didn’t have a chance to get before traveling here. Google led me to Luxxor which is near my hotel. What a lucky discovery! Aside from the nice touches (cappuccino with homemade cookies and the like), what a fabulous haircut I got from Ricky - he is extremely talented. I have received so many compliments and, best of all, I can feel that is right for me and my hair and that it will age well. My biggest problem with my Luxxor experience is figuring out a plan to come to New York whenever I need another cut!

Luxxor is an amazing, stylish and cozy salon. Ricky and Alan are masters of their craft. I personally recommend their services to everyone. I work in the FiDi area so they are super conveniently located for me to get regular hair cuts to always look fresh and clean. This is a must visit salon!!!

We went in spontaneously and my partner and I have been treated like king and queen! What an amazing customer service Ricky and Alan both delivered. If we wouldn't be living in Switzerland, we would be loyal customers by now. Haircut was great for both of us and we felt pampered from beginning to the end. Please if you're looking for a new hair dresser, go and try them, you won't regret!

Best haircut and color I’ve ever had in my life! They were so nice and I’m obsessed with their pups, Ella & Eva! Highly recommend. First time I’ve ever had my hair done and left the salon happy and that says a lot!!!

I recently moved to battery park from Tribeca. I found Luxxor online and figured I’d try a blowout. It was hands down the best blowout of my life. It was so good and so professional, I decided I’d try highlights/color here. Mind you- I’ve done my color at Rita Hazan for years, and then Jenna Perry when I moved downtown. So it was a big deal for me to trust someone blindly based on how excellent my first experience at the salon was. Again- 10/10 for color. Alan took his time and was meticulous with every strand of my hair. This color is the best color I have EVER had. I get compliments every single day. My hair is also so incredibly healthy without any breakage. I’m a dermatologist, so I’m always wary of hair-damage. This team is outstanding and will never go anywhere else for hair services again. I am thrilled with how I look and feel. Thank you!!!

After trying a variety of competitors in FiDi for my hair, I found Luxxor, which is simply fantastic! As soon as you walk into the building, there’s an air of “old New York.” You get up to the 7th floor and enter the beautifully designed and extremely clean studio. Such a lovely experience and vibe. The staff and ownership is amazing and made me feel right at home, greeting me with a hot tea as soon as I sat down. Let’s not even mention the expertise of the team. Years and years of cut and color experience revealed themselves as they worked through the entire process with me, educating me about the methods and process along the way. It was really just a shockingly lovely experience. I left smiling bigger than when I came in, especially after the unbelievable highlights and haircut they did. If you’re going anywhere but here for cuts and colors, start going to Luxxor NOW! RECOMMEND!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Best hairdresser in the city. Went in with a HORRIBLE highlight hair done and came out WITH THE BEST looking hair I’ve ever had. So knowledgeable and all the hairdressers there have a good site for detail and apply great care to the work!!! I appreciate you guys so so much. Thank you !!

I’ve been searching for a hairstylist for so long and I found Alan and Ricky at Luxxor Salon in Manhattan! The customer service is out of the normal,as soon as I walked in they greeted me so nicely.Alan was the one who did my hair,before anything he asked what was my main concerns and took the time to explain to me what he could do and what I needed to get my hair to where I wanted to and how to maintain it as well.Will definitely come back and strongly recommend this place.

Alan is a fantastic colorist. Ricky is amazing with the scissors. Luxxor is a hidden gem in FiDi. I went to get gray highlights and they came out spectacular. They really know their craft and they’re so passionate about it you can’t help but trust them with all their amazing suggestions. I’m so happy I found this place around the corner from my home…. But my favorite thing is probably the little menu with beverages haha. I love my red wine while getting my hair done. 100% recommend it.

They truly have earned their flawless 5 star rating. I just moved to the city and was a little reluctant to splurge on a cut and color but I am SO glad I did. Not only are the staff incredibly nice and the atmosphere/touches luxurious (cappuccino and massage chairs are solid) but they are amazing at what they do. Ricky recommended the absolutely best haircut that looks great but still allows me to put it up for running. And then Alan nailed my vision for red highlights! I can’t express how much I love my hair now and I will absolutely be back for all my hair needs.

I discovered this salon while searching for a "Dominican hair salon" because I'm cautious about trusting stylists with my curly hair. The receptionist I spoke with over the phone was incredibly friendly and efficiently booked my appointment for the same day. Opting for a Brazilian blowout, I found the staff to be exceptionally knowledgeable, understanding my hair type and tailoring the treatment accordingly. Taking a leap of faith turned out to be immensely rewarding! I only regret not finding them and trying this treatment sooner. The investment was well worth it for top-notch treatment from skilled stylists! The owner has before and after photos that shows the awesome transformation! I hope this helps!

Alan has been cutting my hair for some time now. I relocated to Boston for several months and my hair went through hell! I’m now back in NYC and the first thing I did was make an appointment with Alan at Luxxor! Amazing style as always and I look like me again! Great guy, great staff! I literally never leave reviews but I just have to share!! Luxxor was easily one of the best salon experiences of my entire life. Not only was Alan and the rest of the team absolutely lovely, knowledgeable, and talented, but they really listened to me and gave me the best haircut ever. The space itself was cozy, inviting, and incredibly comfortable. Complimentary wine and massage chairs at the shampoo station were the icing on the cake!! I will absolutely be coming back here for all of my salon services 4ever and ever. Thank you so much!!

This salon is amazing! They made me and my partner, who kindly sat 5 hours while I got my hair done, feel so welcome! Everyone was so wonderful and Alan made my hair look amazing! He was super thorough and explained everything I needed to know about getting a fashion color. Maycon was super attentive and really made sure I was comfortable. It's a bit on the pricey side but honestly super worth it for the experience. My partner even said that while he's not the kind of person to really splurge on salons, he would definitely come here before a special occasion. Will definitely be back!
