I hate that I wasted my money here. This place was the most convenient place at the time, but next time I know better. I went in for a Re-twist, and within a couple hours, they all ALL came loose. I told them I had a set price that I could spend, and "shockily" the re-twist cost exactly how much I said I could spend. Now, I know good and dag on well, no Re-twist cost $120, I've never heard of such a thing. They don't have to worry about me EVER COMING BACK because everything about my experience SUCKED!!

Despite the poor reviews, I wanted to see for myself. First, their response time is amazing. Quick and concise. I was then given a reasonable price and you cant find no other like it in Raleigh! The shop was packed. Don’t mind the negative reviews! I was so impressed my braider could pull off these braids. It’s flawless. I wish I got her name, but she was sweet and talked a bit when I wasn’t dozing off. Thank you for the patience and diligence. I will be returning!

Great experience. They started soon as I arrived. I had two people working on me at once which sped up the time I had to sit. I love the finished product and will Certainly be going back. My hair was pretty short in the back and they gripped it with no problem.

I went in for a retwist on my dreadlocks on a calm day and their service was less than sub-par. To be fair, I did not have to wait long for service and to be out of the shop, HOWEVER I noticed upon getting home that almost a quarter of my dreads were not retwisted. On top of that, they were twisted in the opposite direction of the rest if the dread. When I came back in the next day they had an attitude about the whole thing and I was not pleased at all. After pointing out multiple missed areas for them to retwist, they still missed some and I had to go through and show them ones they missed. I should not have to tell my hairdresser what needs to be done on my head, that is something you should know as part of the job. When I got out from the dryer I noticed that some of the braids in areas I pointed out still weren't done and left the shop rather than go in for a THIRD time. After 2 days and some physical activity, some of the twists have come loose and reverted to before I even went in. An utter waste of money since I'm going to have to go to a different place and have them do the work all over again.

I work next door and got my hair done and they really do a good job on my hair l really like all the ladies l got my monies worth and it last for at least a month.

LISTENNN , I called them at the last minute because another place stood me up I was able to call around 11:30 I was seated and started on by 11:45 . Two people worked on my head and I was out of the chair in no time. EVERYONE COME HERE

The braider Charlie is amazing. She has the softest hands in NC. And the price was more than reasonable. I usually drive or fly back to NYC or Philly to get my hair braided. Just found my new braid spot. Thank you so much. I love my hair

Will NEVER go here again. Told lady if there were knots in my hair I would gladly comb them out. Lady assured me it was fine but than begin ripping my hair out from the root while she detangled. I asked several more times for the option to complete it myself. She declined and continued to pull my hair out! She than without permission took a blow dryer to my hair. I Do NOT PUT HEAT IN MY HAIR. But it doesn't stop there. She than proceeded to complete the pattern requested. While the pattern looked great she pulled my edges so tight that they began to rip out from the root causing my edges to be pulled out and scabs to form a few days later. I have pus bumps all throughout my head from where she braided to tightly. We won't even get into the conversation had while I was present. Being Nigerian/American is the best! You tend to find out how they really feel when they think you don't understand. NEVER AGAIN!

Always on point. I moved here from Ga and was wondering who would I have to maintain my braids. Was riding around and found this place. Been going here every since 2020. She is fast and is about growing your hair. I would recommend her to anyone.

I moved here from NJ 10 years ago. My daughter and we have been to just about all the braiding shops around here. Mable Hair Braiding is the best. You tell them exactly what you want and you will get it. Their braids, crotchet , and their parts are A1 top of the line neatly laid! I noticed that they wash hair which is kinda rare for a braiding shop. Good atmosphere and good people!

The absolute worst hair experience in my life. My hair is severely matted after 25 days of the Senegalese twist. When I took the braids out half of my hair came out with the braids and the other half is matted beyond repair. The owner first response was to be argumentive and nasty! A descent owner would try to unmat your hair.

I've been going to Mabel's for a few years now when I wear braids and I have always been satisfied with the service received. The stylists are always professional and courteous, even when I am unsure of a style. The shop is clean and well maintained. My braids are always beautiful and last for a long time. I always receive great service and am very satisfied with their work. If you are in the Raleigh area and need braids, you will not be disappointed.
