I am so pleased that I decided to try Mac Hair Studio! Colin is a master hair stylist. He listens to what you want in a cut and color and he delivers stupendously. I actually really love my hair now and I couldn't say that for quite a long time.

Margaret and the other wonderful stylists did hair for my wedding. The girls looked wonderful and Margaret worked so hard to give me the exact look I wanted on my wedding day. From the trial hair appointment to the day-of, they made the entire experience so memoriable.

I have been a client at MAC for over 15 years and I highly recommend this salon. I have had my hair done by each of the stylists at one time or another and all are talented, very friendly, and professional. My regular stylist, Amber, is amazing and extremely accommodating. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and so inviting. I look forward going there so much that I drive all the way into town from the beach twice a month to be pampered by the whole team.

I have been seeing Amber for over four years now. I have never had a bad experience. She makes my hair visions come to life. She is the kind of hair stylist that becomes a friend. I have watched her family grow as she has watched mine. I have no complaints. The salon is always clean and the staff is friendly. I also love when the puppies are in the salon as the owner helps train service dogs and they also have a dog they rescued from a car accident. The staff is professional and always looking for ways to improve their craft.

I’ve been going here for years! Always satisfied. The whole team there is filled with absolute talent from hair cuts to makeup you name it that got it! Love this salon. Margaret the owner is a wonderful experienced lady in her line of work. The salon is really like a family and they make you part of it. Please check them out. If you’re worried about distance I tell you it’s worth it I drive 20 mins to get my hair done.

MAC Hair Studio is my one & only. Amber has colored & styled my hair for 13 years & I absolutely love the color (so natural) & I get compliments for the color & style on it all the time. Can’t say enough good about this establishment & my Amber!

Went in to get my roots touched up. Left the salon with orange/yellow hair (bleach was unevenly applied) also suffered from parts of my hair being ripped off in the front and in the back. hair feels a lot thinner. The bleach that was applied to my scalp was extremely painful... I had scabs on my head after that. Traumatized. but thanks for the refund. I'll use that money to purchase extensions from another salon so my hair looks normal again. What a great start to the new year!

My daughter and I absolutely love the staff and owner of Mac. Not only do we feel warm and loved when we go in, it is our most special mommy & daughter bonding time as they give my color and cut the same attention as my 9 year old daughter. I’ve always utilized an Aveda salon in terms on matching my blonde until now. It’s complementary and natural looking. Margaret, the owner, loves on my daughter and supports her small bakery business by blessing us over and over. We’re thankful to have this salon in Jax

Awful experience overall. Appt at noon; In my car at 1:30. I was told on the phone that they like 1.5 hours for a new patient so .... I didn't take any more time than allotted. I have difficult hair. The stylist who cut my hair was quite lovely and tried really, really hard with my very, very thin, fine hair. Another stylist gave advice unasked for but appreciated ... at first .... but she said that "we can't spend 3 hours deciding what to do." When I asked about shaving the sides? She said: "You won't like it. From the woman I see sitting here, you won't like it". #1 I'm stereotyped as boring???. #2 She has no idea that I'd like. I asked if she'd like to tell me what type of music I like. She doesn't know me. She offered an excuse that she didn't want to take responsibility if I hated it. That is not her job. If I ask for something, it's MY responsibility. And it's just hair. It grows back thank goodness because I look like someone growing hair back after chemo. Her parting words: Go get it shaved then .... just don't do it here. So I did ... at a different salon after my doctor's appt. The stylist said she wished she'd gotten to me first but she'd fix it. She re-shaped the top and the sides and back are tight but not shaved. It looks much more stylish and I really like it. Great salon and I already have an appointment to go back in 6 weeks. I went to my doctor this morning and when he asked: "What happened to your hair?" That's a clear signal that it wasn't a good cut. Update: 06/27/24. Very satisfied with hair after 2nd appt at different salon with a younger stylist. The "lady" at Mac Hair should remember the adage that "the customer is always right". It's not her job to tell me how I want my hair cut.

I consider myself very experienced in the department of receiving hair color. At the ripe age of 66 years old I will say that I have never found such a stellar hair colorist as Margaret @ MAC Studio in San Marco. She has her own way of doing what so many others try to do on my hair— over and over again—but she pulls it off in simplified fashion, and it’s just fabulous. Her family business, here forever!

I’ve been going to Mac for at least 20 years. My primary hair stylist is Margaret (the owner) but I’ve been to Macy, Amber, Maggie, and Colin, and everyone is EXCELLENT. The vibe of the salon is very warm and welcoming. If a mistake is made (very rare - maybe 2x for me in 20 years) it is fixed immediately without hesitation. Everyone’s work is fantastic and they are especially good with color. Prices are reasonable. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This was my first time ever getting partial highlights and it couldn't have gone better! I love the atmosphere at Mac Hair Studio! Macy was amazing with explaining what she was going to do every step of the way! I left loving my new highlights and cut! I look forward to seeing what she can do with my makeup!

- I love MAC Hair Studio - I have been an off and on returning client at MAC Hair Studio and not for any particular reason. After not having a haircut for over a year I went back and had the pleasure of getting to work with Macy. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted, however, I can happily say I left the salon feeling very happy, beautiful and confident. Macy was kind, patient, and extremely skilled. I highly recommend Macy to anyone looking for a hairstylist. Also, I will now be returning to Macy for ALL my haircuts and styling needs. My search for a hairstylist is over, and I look forward to my next visit with her. I can’t recommend MAC Hair Studio enough and thank the team for helping me love my hair!

Amazing customer service! Had a full transformation from long hair to super short! Madison walked me through the whole process before and as we went through the steps! The education I needed (for my curly hair) was given so well! Just came back for my second cut and it’s even better! If you want a real quality hair cut ask for Madison! Thanks again!!

Colin is truly so much more than your everyday stylist, I don’t ever go in wanting anything but what he thinks my hair needs and he’s been so right every time- I’m a professional dancer who trusts him with my image. I’ve never been more comfortable in a salon and I’ve never been more satisfied with my look- their stylists and colorists are educated and experienced and have that *extra* level of hair expertise. Salon owner Margaret is truly a gift to chat with and her salon is gorgeous, clean, and welcoming for everyone.

Margaret recently suggested supplementing my thin hair with a topper, and I am thrilled with the results. The color is perfect, it is easy to wear, and it makes a subtle but amazing difference. Mac Hair Studio saved my wedding day! My tire blew on the highway on my way to the salon and made me an hour late to my two hour hair and makeup appointment. Not only were these women understanding and patient, they made me feel at ease and calmed me down from the time they answered my frantic call to when I left the salon. They hustled to get both my hair and makeup done in half the time and made me look absolutely stunning. I cannot express how kind and talented they were the entire time. Thank you endlessly for a five star experience.
